This was my first time watching a Buddy Blues video and I'm digging it! I can watch this dude all day! He's serving up some tasty licks for sure! I do have 1 comment relating to @7:57 I just got this pedal and wired it up using the "4-cable mode" (activated in the app). The pedal repurposes its stereo inputs and outputs and simultaneously wires it in front of the amp (while in Bypass mode) and also in the amp's effect loop (when the pedal is Active). This essentially adds an additional channel to my tube amp (Mesa Boogie Fillmore 50) by bypassing the preamp and hitting the power tubes directly. Be sure to turn off the cab sims when running in this "4-cable mode" and it sounds killer. I highly recommend people with tube amps try this out. The Enigmatic takes other OD pedals like a champ too! Obviously, to fully leverage the functionality of this pedal, you need to run it directly into your computer or a PA, but don't sleep on this "4-cable mode". The people at UA did a fantastic job on this pedal (excluding the wonky Bluetooth sync).
Good Laaaaaaawrd, but you can play. I’ve been watching you for years and it’s always so good. But I love now how when I start watching one of your jams my mind understands what you’re doing on the fret board. I’ve come to that place in my own playing where I can follow along with some sense of familiarity. But there is no less awe and in no time I find myself no longer deconstructing but simply just listening. My eyes go lax and my ears become everything. You really do take us on a sonic journey. Thank you. When you start your lessons, I’ll happily come on board.

Stellar job Buddy Blues... First review for this new pedal that really shines IMHO. Over the years I have seen your reviews and this one one you just killed it.
Came here for the pristine cleans with those harmonic overtones and some Larry Carton gritty lush overdrive tone with lots of articulation🤣🤣🤣watched a few of these reviews today but you nailed it best one!!!
If you focus on my mouth during the playing part I’m always talking and asking if I’m “rambling” with playing. If my wife wasnt there yelling “10 MINUTES” my videos would be 50 mins long
One of the things I admire about your reviews is that you go through the full gamut of sounds produced by the item, be theyu guitars, pedals or amps. Not everyone gets down to putting out the jazz sounds - yes, I am a jazzer, like you do. Will have to save up for this but, it seems worth it; at least cheaper and a bit more versatile than the Peace Hill Effects Dumble pedals.
I watch your demos because you’re such an insane blues player. Just fantastic feel. Perfect. I have the ethos overdrive and have been satisfied. Until this demo lol.
One day, I promise. I have to learn how to teach first. That sounds weird to say, but it’s a whole different ball game. My videos as they stand are free for the audience, if I ever decide to CHARGE anyone to watch something I better damn well know exactly what to offer and how to offer it. If someone doesn’t like my videos as they are today I’m sorry too bad move on to another channel no harm, but if someone is PAYING holy moly that’s another level of pressure and it better be perfect. I’m assuming you didn’t expect a newspaper essay dissertation of an answer, so I’m sorry 😂❤️
Great playing, Buddy. To me, the pedal has something odd going on in the top end. Fizzy, almost like paper tearing, which I do not typically associate with this type of amp.
I kinda got the feeling it's actually four different Dumbles and the ability to mix and combine them to your own Custom. Is that the case? If so... freakin' fantastic!
From what I got, you have all these options like 4 different base amp sims (a 50w Dumble, and the other ones are 100W variations, if I'm not mistaken), 2 (?) different tone stack options to use, an input FET boost or not, jazz or rock mode, deep switch and bright switch on or off and even more stuff, so it's pretty customizable.
Kiiiind of! There’s 4 amps in total that was quite different in their response and dynamics, but the 9 different cabs they give you is where you’re really able to completely change the sound of the amp (kind of like in real life)
Great demo Buddy! This pedal is not for me, but the dream 65 is fantastic. It lacks the visceral thunderous appeal of a dumble ( if the amp clones I have heard are accurate)IMHO.
I had both I ran the Peace Hill into a UAFX OX Stomp. I kept the Enigmatic. I think it sounds better with my setup and everyone that I've shown agrees.
Oh man... I've got the Lion, the Woody, the Ruby... I can't be buying another!!! I watched reviews from other guys I trust... and yeah, cool, I don't need to buy it... phew! I watch yours and... OH WOW... Where's my wallet? Always such cool playing from you, by the way.
Yours is the best demo so far for this Pedal. But! If I owned the Dream 65 or Lion I wouldn’t spend the money for more of the same. You can get similar tones on those pedals.
Your demo is masterful as always, however I was expecting something better from UA. They nail it with the Dream 65, and the Lion, but quite honestly I just can't really hear a descent Dumble tones on this pedal. It has an incredible tone, and the speaker options are insane, I guess this is their version of a Dumble ODS; I just don't hear it... The Peace Hills FX ODS you demoed is another story, but it's $300 more, so not a true comparison.
I admit that I listened through my laptop speakers, I will watch the video again through my monitors or on my home theater system but I have the feeling that I have heard better sounds from the products you reviewed.
@@jamesbennettmusic2154you are correct and I forgot to mention that sorry! I’ll add it in the description as well but I intentionally left the mix dry (like I did in the UAFX Lion video). @@jamesbennettmusic2154 My feeling was not related to the fact that Buddy did not use any reverb or delay. A beautiful sound, it's always beautiful whether it's dry or wet. Obviously I do not like all of them but it's impossible not to find one that suits your needs. I'm sure if someone like DemonFX ends up cloning *this* pedal, those people will ironically and with zero self-awareness have a cow. Same thing in the synth market; they'll heap praise on a boutique synth that exactly mimics some old Moog design *as long as it sells for more than the original does,* but again will rag on Behringer for making a Moog clone that sells for $299. Same thing for Harley-Benton guitars.... PRS makes a Strat clone, and everybody cooms; H-B makes a PRS clone, and everybody freaks out. Great pedal...again. BUT instead of creating always new pedals, and especially with this one where you can tweak soooo much in the app, UAFX should concentrate on their bluetooth application.
