To say this man is talented is an understatement. We are so lucky to have him in the Doctor Who universe. Utterly convincing in every role he plays, a hugely generous actor, lovely man and able to bring such energy to every part he plays that the whole episode lights up around him! So happy to have been a fan for these last 5 years and SO excited for whatever he does next.
I am simply delighted with both the era and this version of the Master. How much the pain of this character comes out through his roleplaying. As for me, the story of the timeless child is primarily about the breakdown of the Master’s paradigm. Because for the doctor, little has changed, but how strongly the pain that this knowledge caused the Master is felt. Unreal. Sacha Dhawan - ❤

And while the expanded Doctor Who media treats Dhawan's Master as a successor to Missy, it is possible that chronologically Dhawan's Master was actually the successor to John Simm's Master, therefore meaning Missy's character development remains intact.
The dynamic between Jodie and Sacha was amazing and a joy to watch and as powerful as all the previous actors to play the roles of The Doctor and The Master respectfully! "An explosive combination" indeed! I can't recall if there's space for Jodie and Sacha to have had an encounter between 'Ascension of the Cybermen' / 'The Timeless Children' and 'The Power of the Doctor' but if it can be worked, then Big Finish Productions should definitely cover it in the up and coming Thirteenth Doctor Adventures audio series!
I've always wanted a Master to be throughout multiple regenerations like Anthony Ainley Simm kinda did it but not to the same extent So if Sacha did it, I'd love that

As a fan since the 2005 era I started was sceptical of Sasha's ability to portray such a profound character but slowly and surely as his scenes went on with the 13th Doctor I really found him showing the audience that he truly is a psychopathic nut job but also displayed the love the master has for the doctor incredibly well.
One of the only good things with this era, Sacha nailed the Master (even tho I prefer Missy) The reveal is great too, a small detail I never noticed until a rewatch is just before C gets shot he says that Barten might be a double or even triple agent The Doctor asks "agent for who?" C says "Well..." gets shot and says "Oh..." as in O, the spy master
Say what you will about this master and the 13th doctor as a whole, Sacha dhawan's master is definitely great, tho I think the next time the master appears, we should have a more serious master like Rodger Delgardo
My head Canon is this Master is before Missy as she had such a great character progression I hope the next time we see the master its after Missy and he or she is at worst an anti hero but I'd like to see them as friends again we almost got it until the other master.killed her.

We always wondered what could have happened to the O Master that made them so deliciously evil after Missy turned over a new leaf. Along with the Timeless Child secret, something else must have caused them to relapse so sharply and suddenly. We do love Sasha's portrayal, but we've always wanted a story about how he ended up like he was. We know there's a Big Finish audio, but we want a mainline story that shows what caused all of that rage to rise up to the surface...
Still can't believe they went through all that work to save Gallifrey just to destroy it again as a setup to one of the worst episodes in the show's history. The lore reasons they gave weren't even good and it felt like a throwaway thing unlike the time war business.
He portrayed the Master in a far too insane way…. Too overdone…. No interesting extra layers, Losing all reality. Nothing like the stylish Roger Delgado, no channelled mystery of Missy…. If it wasn’t for Julia Roberts’ brother Sasha would be the worst master ever.
And then he begged The Toymaker for his life with one final game, and when he lost, The Toymaker sealed him for all eternity inside his gold tooth.
He'll be back. He's escaped from much worse.
