A little about me. I have been the manager at Infiniti of Kirkland since 2004 and prior to that I ran a high end car boutique in neighboring Bellevue, Washington. For my career I have sold over 10,000 cars so I hope to bring you far more insight than you might ever know to even ask. I show you in some videos how to see if a car has been in an accident, how to make a great buy on a car with a bad Carfax, or why I wouldn't personally buy a car even if it has favorable reviews. I bought my 2005 RX330 brand new in 2005. Now, it is 2018 - nearly 13 years later and I still drive it as proudly as I did the day that I brought her home with me.
I wanted a new car, and my best friend said don't get stuck in a loaner. So i went to an Auction, and i picked this car up! I do miss my acura, but i'm starting to fall in love with this one.
:D i just purchased one... I was like i need something old, but nice. However, i dislike the soccer mom jokes. I'm a 30 year old , single guy, and i drive this. Owell it's nice.

I just bought an '04 RX 330 and it's still fresh as hell, EVERYTHING still works perfectly, the paint is perfect and it's nicer than most new cars.

How's your transmission?
@@timetowakeup6302 in excellent condition. Shifts very smooth still. The car had a transmission service, filter change and fluid exchange at around 80k miles. I then changed out about another 6 quarts of fluid around 150k

He's simply right. I recently bought a 2006 RX330 from my uncle, and I'm amazed at how zippy and responsive it is for a 3.3L V6 that specs deceptively low.

I bought the RX330 of 2004, 3 years ago in Panamá, Central America. Fantastic car. The only problem is to get some parts locally. I order them from a Lexus dealer in Miami and have them sent by UPS to Panamá. The paint is still like new.

Good salesman. Great car. My '06 just turned 200 last month. After 14 years, still comfortable, reliable and enjoyable to drive.

It really is. There are so many amazing SUV's in all different sizes, yet no one even tries to copy Lexus, it's pointless.

Just bought one w 126k miles on it for $7k. I have previously owned 2 miatas, an mdx, a g35 & have driven an x6 quite a few times. The Rx330 is definitely one of the most boring of all but it’s reliability and comfort beats even some new cars.

That's the best Lexus buy ever. You could drive that for 5 years and sell it for most of what you bought it for and with minimum service worries. Plus, they're beautiful, comfortable and drive great. Just an awesome buy Megan!

Wow. I sold my 2004 RX 330 with 350k miles, bad transmission, leaking head gasket, bad knock sensors, bad struts, and a wrecked front end for 5,500.

Your walk-through review is much appreciated. There's a 2005 RX330 with 38,000 coming up for sale at an estate auction in a few weeks. Given that is at an auction, the best I can do is maybe start it up. We won't be able to test drive it. We could probably run a car-fax on it once we get the VIN. With those conditions, what do you think a good price to buy would be? Thanks for your time.
Those miles are insane. At a dealer auction that might bring 10,000 wholesale. Anything less than that is a steal. Make sure to check the VIN stickers on all the panels and make sure they are original, check to see if there are any warning lights on the dash and make sure to have someone prove the windows, sunroof and seat motors are all working. A bonus would be dropping a cd in the stereo and making sure it still works.

Great vehicle, just make sure if you're buying one that the transmission still shifts nice and smooth. A fair amount of the 04-06 RX 330's have been known to have issues, usually after 150K miles.

Not at all Gabriel...this is one of the lowest cost of ownership luxury SUV's ever made! Just make certain you get a buyer's inspection at the Lexus dealer before you buy to make sure you aren't buying someone else's problem child.
just starting to look - a nice used car for my youngest daughter. I like tase - 330 and 350...my question, is AWD an issue with an older vehicle? I know a transmission replacement is MUCH more expensive than a FWD. I'm looking to spend 10K.
Whether you go front wheel drive or all wheel drive you are looking at the single best built luxury small SUV of all time. What's great about your $10,000 budget is that you are going to get a really nice RX with lower miles. Just get a buyer's inspection at the Lexus dealer before you pull the trigger and enjoy the safety, comfort, reliability and amazing resale value!

If it passes a buyer's inspection at the Lexus dealer with zero issues it's a medium-good buy Sumanth. The first number that hits my head with those low miles but fwd is $6000

I really don’t know what is better tho, 2004-2009 RX or 2010-2012 RX.
My dad needs a Lexus RX that is under 15k or maybe lower, with low mileage on the odometer.
In Florida there is a 2010 Lexus RX 350 AWD for 13K with 86K miles. But at the same time you can find 04-09 RX’s for a lot lower.
But here’s the problem.. I prefer the 2010-2012 RX because of its huge update on technology, it is fabulous. Which one should I go for?

It's that affordable part that's the problem. If you get a buyer's inspection on one with huge miles however, and it passes, you might get a great SUV cheap.

You can get an incredible RX330 for under $8000 these days...and they are worth every penny.

That's a funny mileage range Bobbie...as always, get a buyer's inspection at the Lexus dealer and if it passes and you buy it for $4000 it's a steal...if you buy it for $5000 with no buyer's inspection and it needs stuff, it was too expensive. The goal on a car like this is to literally sell it for what you bought it for 2 years from now with no repairs of any kind.

That one's sold..too bad, too, that was a really nice Lexus. I know this will sound crazy but those RX's are so well conceived in every way that I believe they will be collector's cars in the future. The RX didn't get factory Bluetooth until 2007...but you see aftermarket upgrades on used RX's all of the time.

Timing chain is better, way better...but, so long as the belt has been replaced in the past few years you don't have anything to worry about.
Rx350 has chain and 3.5L little more power.
