I think the bride should have at least looked into wedding dresses before coming. Considering she is picky on what she wants (which is totally fine and understandable), she should at least have a list of dresses she likes or at least pictures of features she likes in a dress so they could know what she is looking for, instead of coming in being like “idk what I want” then saying no to most of the dresses recommended to her. She literally came with barely an image of what she wanted which lead to her saying no to a lot of dresses. If she has an image enough to say no on the spot when looking at the dresses on the rack she should have some responsibility to look at dresses before coming to the shop so she knows exactly what she doesn’t like and what she is open to trying

They are only showing the dresses she was willing to try on. You don't think they edited a lot out. I have seen so many brides on these shows absolutely disparage these dresses, snidly turn up their noses, and utterly insult anyone who would, "wear such a dress". She is in effect being rude to and insulting the stylist. The show is kind enough to not show them acting like a bridzilla, thus irritating the store staff.

I've NEVER understood the "overshopping" thing. They always push you to find the dress super fast, like the 3rd effing dress you try on is supposed to be the one. If she's never tried any on and doesn't know what style she's going for then it makes total sense, that you start with trying on every different style and see what looks good on you and you connect with. I felt that while shopping myself too. Like I was pushed to "just pick one" even though there were aspects to the dress that I didn't like. I'm glad I stayed true to myself and ended up ordering a custom dress (combined one dress's top and another one's bottom).
When I watch these sometimes I get annoyed at the sales assistants. They start acting annoyed when the bride doesn’t like the dresses and tries loads on but like if she doesn’t like them she doesn’t like them 🤷♀️ why would she pick one just for the sake of it sort of thing. It shouldn’t matter if she tried 3 or 300 if she’s paying for it and wearing it it’s up to her. It doesn’t mean she’s fussy it just means she hasn’t found the one and she shouldn’t have to compromise on that amount of money just because the shop assistant is annoyed. I hear you. But there are two sides of the story. It's always the matter of perspective. It's natural form most of us to have bride's, customer's perspective on shopping experience than SA's one. If you work as a SA, it would be entirely different set of issues. They work on commission most of the time, meaning that number and prices of sold dresses equals their income and security of their job in a case the don't reach their expected numbers. They have to be psychologist, diplomats, to deal with all sorts of customers who are not all kind and well mannered. Many brides have unrealistic expectations, unrealistic budgets for that particular store and for what they want, are often rather difficult to work with due to many factors. It's not an easy job.

When deep into the appointment the bride said something like “I don’t know what I want and they don’t know what I want”, I was thinking how the heck can they know what you want if you don’t know? You need constructive feedback to improve an appointment. Like, I don’t like beads, I want lace, the neckline is too low. “It isn’t a wow” when she looks stunning gives David NOTHiNG to work with.
Dress #4 looked gorgeous on her. I don't know how she didn't see the wow factor in it. I loved it better than the dress she chose. But then again it's her wedding not mine.

@@sandraaj she's British, it's more than likely that she gets it. The UK has a different culture than the US and people tend to not be so thin skinned however. Americans rarely understand dry or deadpan humor.

It's so funny to me, they think it's a drama to try on 5 dresses and not be pleased with you picks... I got married this month and when I went dress shopping I didn't quite know what I wanted too. Especially since I am not one that wears many dresses. So the lady at the bridal shop just pulled something from every style that would compliment my figure, just so I could see what silhouette I would like and when we had that nailed down, a bunch of different designs for that silhouette. I probably tried on like 35 dresses that day, had alot of fun and I had a favourite among the first ones... until wie came to the ONE dress, which was the second to last we pulled out to try. I am seriously glad I had on SO many, so I even had a reference of what complimented me and what didn't. And I was seriously surprised at how good some dresses fit me, which I would never have chosen myself.
She just tried 4 dresses. If I am spending so much money on the most important day of my life, I would also go to different shops and try almost everything. U can't just buy anything until your gut tells you
I'm glad the bride only had an entourage of one. Her sister pretty much had her taste. She looked great in every dress, but none were special to her. All she needed were some ruffles. Who knew? Best to her, her groom and their child.
The dress her sister picked out was spectacular and she looked like a goddess. I can't believe she didn't like it and couldn't see how stunning she truly was.
I’m glad she went with the dress that made her happy!! She looked great in a couple of them and I’m so glad she decided on her favorite dress instead of going with the dress everyone else liked. It was obvious that she struggled to find a dress she felt beautiful and confident in, but I’m overjoyed that she found the one!!

My daughter tried on dozens of dresses in about 5 stores in Glasgow. Last shop we bypassed a Jenny Packham that looked nothing on the hanger. The lady brought it out and it was perfect. A clingy slinky jewelled halter neck that she wore with a tartan shawl. Fabulous
Im surprised she started freaking out after trying on like 3 dresses, im not married(yet) but during my highschool graduation, i tried on like 15 dresses before i ended up just getting it custome made
6:45 Is it just me or the dress in the background of when she is doing the solo interview looked perfect for her maybe it was out of budget! the last dress she chose was also beautiful on her either way.
These dresses are not the ones they take home. These are just for trying on by all and sundry. Notice how many brides run their hands over the waist and hips, could you imagine how grubby they get? Then there's the make-up smears, bridal tears and tantrums, nope the sample dresses stay on the rack, the actual dresses are wrapped in protective plastic until purchase and fittings.
You order a new one...the ones in the store are just there to try on. I accidently pulled a button off the one I tried on in the bridal shop struggling to put it on 🤭🤫
If that was her first ever time trying on wedding dresses, I reckon they did quite well.... I also don't know what it will look like till I've tried it on.
She's not a bad one and I love how supportive her sister is. Most ladies are picky about fashion normally. We don't know what to pick until we see 'the one'. I love how she's straightforward.

Wow, I thought it was gonna be an issue with her but David came through as he always does. I still like the sisters pic I thought she looked amazing in that dress, but she fell in love with the one she had on and I’m so glad she did coming in not knowing anything you want it with the dress is hard to deal with a know she felt bad. But now she has a beautiful dress to wear on a beautiful day. Congratulations to you both I wish you all the happiness in the world.

They are only allowed a certain amount of time per customer. If they can’t decide then there’s no sale. They can’t try on 15 dresses at one fitting.
I hear you. But there are two sides of the story. It's always the matter of perspective. It's natural form most of us to have bride's, customer's perspective on shopping experience than SA's one. If you work as a SA, it would be entirely different set of issues. They work on commission most of the time, meaning that number and prices of sold dresses equals their income and security of their job in a case the don't reach their expected numbers. They have to be psychologist, diplomats, to deal with all sorts of customers who are not all kind and well mannered. Many brides have unrealistic expectations, unrealistic budgets for that particular store and for what they want, are often rather difficult to work with due to many factors. It's not an easy job.
Which is all great points but she still has a right to try on as many as she likes and find the one she wants rather than paying money for something she doesn’t just because the shop assistant is annoyed lol
I hear you. But she never said what she did like, only what she didn’t and in a very vague manner. When deep into the appointment the bride said something like “I don’t know what I want and they don’t know what I want”, I was thinking how the heck can they know what you want if you don’t know? You need constructive feedback to improve an appointment. Like, I don’t like beads, I want lace, the neckline is too low. “It isn’t a wow” when she looks stunning gives David NOTHiNG to work with.

@@sandraaj she's British, it's more than likely that she gets it. The UK has a different culture than the US and people tend to not be so thin skinned however. Americans rarely understand dry or deadpan humor.
@@YTistooannoying I think it's his attempt at lightening the mood. We do that here in Canada all the time but then again we were influenced by the Brits so we tend to get the sarcasm. He wasn't condescending with his tone, he was being playful or cheeky.

Wrong choice . Last dress wasn't any " wow " dress but the dress she tried on before the last one was really beautiful on her .
Dress number 4 was a glamrous dress, the circle back cut, the rich beading and lace even the sleek fit fanning out into the trail, looked elegant.

I got married this month and when I went dress shopping I didn't quite know what I wanted too. Especially since I am not one that wears many dresses.
So the lady at the bridal shop just pulled something from every style that would compliment my figure, just so I could see what silhouette I would like and when we had that nailed down, a bunch of different designs for that silhouette.
I probably tried on like 35 dresses that day, had alot of fun and I had a favourite among the first ones... until wie came to the ONE dress, which was the second to last we pulled out to try. I am seriously glad I had on SO many, so I even had a reference of what complimented me and what didn't. And I was seriously surprised at how good some dresses fit me, which I would never have chosen myself.
She just tried 4 dresses. If I am spending so much money on the most important day of my life, I would also go to different shops and try almost everything. U can't just buy anything until your gut tells you

I'm glad the bride only had an entourage of one. Her sister pretty much had her taste. She looked great in every dress, but none were special to her. All she needed were some ruffles. Who knew? Best to her, her groom and their child.

I’m glad she went with the dress that made her happy!! She looked great in a couple of them and I’m so glad she decided on her favorite dress instead of going with the dress everyone else liked. It was obvious that she struggled to find a dress she felt beautiful and confident in, but I’m overjoyed that she found the one!!

My daughter tried on dozens of dresses in about 5 stores in Glasgow. Last shop we bypassed a Jenny Packham that looked nothing on the hanger. The lady brought it out and it was perfect. A clingy slinky jewelled halter neck that she wore with a tartan shawl. Fabulous

These dresses are not the ones they take home. These are just for trying on by all and sundry. Notice how many brides run their hands over the waist and hips, could you imagine how grubby they get? Then there's the make-up smears, bridal tears and tantrums, nope the sample dresses stay on the rack, the actual dresses are wrapped in protective plastic until purchase and fittings.
You order a new one...the ones in the store are just there to try on. I accidently pulled a button off the one I tried on in the bridal shop struggling to put it on 🤭🤫
