Another great episode! So awesome watching someone play with fresh eyes. I tense up though every time I know you are about to walk into areas without knowing what could happen. Making me remember the first time I played! I love it.
Settlements: Congrats on finding your second settlement, since this is your first playthrough I would let Starlight sit till you get the settlement stuff figured out a bit more. Especially since you are using SIM Settlements. In Sanctuary, use your City Manager Holotape and make sure you have Auto-Assign turned on. If you do and the plot stays unassigned then go into build mode, find a settler, pick the option for assign then walk over to your plot and assign the settler to it. I don't think you finished the quest for Sturgis either so you should probably do that. Once you do finish it you can always replace what you did for him with the Sim Settlements stuff as you figure it out.
Hacking: Is tedious, no way around it without a mod. Save your bracket hacks for when you only have one pick left and aren't sure what the word is, that way you don't waste the reset tries so you essentially get double picks. Likenesses: Say you chose TORE, 1 Likeness, your word could match any of those letters. So SOAP (the O), WORD (the R) and so on. IMO the more advanced the hack is the easier it is because you can narrow down easier with longer words.
Food: Cooking food at a cooking workstation = no rads. If you are going to use food for healing (which is handy early game) you just as well take a look at what you can cook with the meat you are picking up and see what else cooking might give you. Think of it like crafting your favorite potion in Skyrim. Your settlers will happily eat the radiated food you put in the workbench, you don't really need to hold on to anything you can't cook unless it gives you a bonus like the Nuka Quantum.
Mines: You can VATS them to find them, I ran around spamming VATS my first playthrough to try and not blow myself up every other step LOL! If you blow one up and die it's not there when you load back in. You can disarm them but you have to be quick and while you are still so squishy you may want to just shoot them from a distance. Maybe see if your followers have any options while you are searching around an area.

    35. The little bunker you killed the scavvie for is a random encounter. these little things can pop up in the wilderness and can be an abandoned fridge, or a bomb shelter or whatnot. yeah exploring is fun. You really do not know what you find. You have a very strong luck, so likely will get some more of these fortuitous things happening.

Pre-war money is used for cloth. Yes, pocketed mods on armor adds to your carry weight. You might want to start getting and equipping regular armor, instead of wearing that caged armor set. Leather armor is good for defending against energy weapons, which is what that lightning bolt means when you look at armor stats. There are regular frag mines, there are makeshift bombs that are made out of the vault tec lunchboxes. There are parts of Lexington you have to be careful of because there's a raider with a Fatman in a bridge, and if he spots you, he will shoot a mini nuke at ya 😉. One other thing, nuka cola quantums are amazing fir health and AP regeneration. You can tell a nuka quantum because it emits a bright blue light, always pick them up when you come across them. One more thing, if you start collecting armor pieces, you may want to try to fund Arny fatigues to wear with it. Army fatigues will give you am extra point of strength and agility. Pair that up with a sea captains hat which will give you an extra 2 points boost to your endurance. All can be found in game either in the world or at vendors for sale.

@@appalachiansapper12b64 awesome! That’s a lot of info. I need to take much closer look at the gear stats for sure! I think it was Ted who commented that I should put a cha set for selling stuff. I’m getting so much good practical advice from you guys.
      Thank you!

Late to the party today. Mama Murphurys drug related visions ACTUALLY DO HAVE MEANING. Once in a game day if you approach her for the Sight she will ask for a different chem, and tell you something that does offer a clue that WILL HELP. Be careful what you give her tho them chems like all addictions can have tragic ends. i will not spoil this so leave it at that.
Prewar money is useful as a substitute for caps, if a look at it depending on your Cha each greenback is worth an increasing number of real caps. I tend to horde the stuff for when i need to do a shopping spree and dont want to lug around a ton of weapons and armor.
OTHER VALUABLE JUNK Includes gold and silver watches, gold and silver bars, Cigar boxes and cigarette cartons and packs of smokes. They are worth more in caps than the junk components they break down into. Sort those out into separate storage so you can sell them to merchants from time to time.

Another day another question? How do you get a video out every day? Is it easy for you?

@@izzy201 the only time it’s hard is if I don’t have the time or I don’t like the game. With FO4, I’m digging the game but it takes a lot of time. So it’s not hard, but it takes a bit more effort with the editing. There’s a lot of cutting or trimming of the fat with Bethesda games due to the exploration and scavenging and looting. For instance, This episode was just under 3 hours of recording my gameplay, then another 2’ish hours of editing. So let’s call it 5 hours invested for one episode. In contrast, With most games, 3 hours of game would be 2-3 episodes of content because I like 1 hour episodes and there’s less fat to trim.
I’ll probably miss a day here and there, because with FO4, it’s hard to produce more than 1 episode a day so it’ll be a challenge to schedule future episodes as a buffer. Lol day jobs suck.
      Thanks for watching!

I see yea that was my point the trimming I did make videos a long time ago and that’s what killed me lol. Not hard just time taking but I’m glad you are putting in the work and are enjoying the game. I’ll be around to watch.
