    Very informative! Leg cramps run in my family. My podiatrist recommended 800 mg magnesium daily which worked very well. When my cardiologist told me to stop taking it I halved the dosage to 400 mg daily the halved it again to 400 mg every other day. The cramps began to return. When I informed my cardiologist of this he relented and told me that I could resume the supplement. I now use 400 mg per day and have been free from night time leg cramps ever since.

    Last month I got severe cramps on the INNER AND OUTER SIDES of BOTH LEGS at the same time. This is unusual. The pain was excruciating. I had not seen this video then. Now I will be better prepared. Thank you.

      I had cramps inside my legs that couldn’t be stretched. Most excruciating thing I’ve ever experienced. Thank God they did not last forever

    Thank you Dr. Andrea for making this video. From time to time I got muscle cramps. I soak my feet in a bucket with hot water and pour hot water in my leg after few minutes the cramps or tightening of my muscles were relieved. I will try the exercise that you demonstrated if I get cramps again but I hope will never happen again.

      She has some bad info. If you get a cramp while laying down in the bed you have no time to fool around while horizontal and the cramp is intensifying. You have to get out of the bed immediately, no matter how much it hurts and stand on the leg and then walk on it. If the cramp is severe and pain persists, a hot shower is helpful. I learned this from prolonged experience with statin meds, which I no longer take. Much better to control cholesterol by diet than by meds.

    I have had muscle cramps in my legs since I was a teenager and off and on in my adult years. A few years ago my doctor found out my B-12 was low and magnesium also. I always had little muscle twitches and these meds have helped alot. I still have some leg cramps but not as bad as before. Someone also told me about drinking pickle juice. I thought it was an old wives tale. I might try it. Glad I watched this video!

      Also try a spoonful of yellow mustard…it works for me and I try to keep mustard packets by my bed at night in case I have cramps in my legs.

      Instead of pickle juice try vinegar. Take two apple cider vinegar capsules right at bedtime and see if this helps.

      We use theraworx for craps. It is the best thing we have ever found. We do like the foam better than the spray as it seems to absorb better. A little expensive but worth every penny.

    Thank you very much sharing this video.. it’s very effective to me as I have muscle cramp in my front leg sometimes n it’s very painful.. don’t know what to do .. now I understand.. I have one request.. the writing in the video sometimes makes some obstacle to see the proper Excercise.. if it manage in other way will be very helpful.. thanks a lot Dr Andrea

    Thank you so much dr. Andrea for the exercise instruction for osteoporosis knee I do that every morning that I'm not going to work I use the heating pad I do the bed stretches of writing numbers in the year I do chair and stairs exercise now I'm not waking up with any stiffness but I a Charlie Horse Noah yesterday morning in my calf than God found this video where you talked about the Charlie horse and what to do thank you so l 💘it I can surely say this exercise helps me

      @@DrAndreaFurlan A tingling sensation occurs on my legs from toes to calf muscles.
      Specially so when the weather is cold and the Fan is on.
      It's a neuseating discomfort.
      For your information I am a Diabetic for nearly 40 yrs. 70 yrs old. My left foot is amptuated below theknred.
      Any remedy.whom to consult/ medication/ exercises.
      Kindly let me know.

    I’ve been getting leg cramps .
    I get up and do stretch my legs.
    It takes me a few seconds,usually!
