The USA met Serbia at a Group A pool stage Basketball battle at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. It was a rematch of the FIBA World Championship final 2014, which was won 129-92 by team USA. Nine of the twelve Serbian players remembered that final very well, as they showed up in Rio as well.

I was in this game in Rio in 2016. I worked there as a volunteer. I remember that Jokic really impressed me, and he wasn´t even starting the game, only a rookie in the NBA. And today he is the MVP of the league, what a player. Great game. Too bad Serbia won´t be in Japan this year.

That was because of speculation on whether or not PGs shot hit the basket, which it looks like it might have. This would mean the shot clock resets, but they had to be decisive so they blew the horn and called it a shot clock violation.
It wouldn't have made a difference, but don't pretend like you don't know the rules of basketball.

Man USA is gonna welcome some new stars like Steph Curry (who has played the World Cup but had zero Olympics appearance), Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Cameron Payne, DeAndre Ayton,... while this year's Jokic has being his prime year so far. If it is not postponed, this will be the best Olympics since other top teams have caught up with the US and it is gonna be tough.
If they had them two and were in it… we would be inclined to acknowledge that this USA team did not include LeBron, Curry, Klay, AD, Harden, Kawhi, Paul… You could argue that 5-6 of the top 7-8 players in the world didn’t play lmao. This is the opposite of the 2008 Olympics. In 2008 the US blew out Spain by 30+ points in pool play but the final was a close game. Here in 2016 Serbia played the US close in pool play but got blown out by 30+ points in the gold medal game.
