I still remember the day when he came to my School " Sainik school Nalanda " for visit, can't express my feelings how amazing he was in 2009 when I met him, 13 years have passed since I met him and the day when I joined Indian Army I remembered his legendary Speech he gave at my school. Now I am a Captain and I still wonder how an officer can have such a versatile personality. Surprisingly the soldiers in my Batallion are often said to remember Major general G.D Bakshi sir to gather courage. He is a living legend.

Just to explain more of what Anuj said : 1st , Clearing SSB in 1st attempt is no joke , 2nd , for scoring AIR 2 you need excellent marks in exam as well as exceptional SSB performance in interview , psych and ground testing , 3rd , exceptional SSB , ( all 3 reccomending ) at 1st attempt is rare.
