We are based in North Wales and manage around 150 colonies of bees, plus nucleus colonies.
We produce Great Taste Award winning honey and sell nucleus colonies to members of the public.
Our 6 frame overwintered nucleus colonies sell out very fast every year so early ordering is advisable.

We supply F1 Mated Buckfast and Jolanta Queens throughout the season. The UK Mated Jolanta Queens are reared using genetics used by the UK's biggest bee farmer - Murray McGregor - and are not available to general public, except through resellers like us! Check out our queens page on our website.

We are passionate about beekeeping and really enjoy helping beekeepers through our TH-cam channel.
On our channel you can find information on making splits with swarm cells, making increase with queen cells, grafting larvae, foulbrood and disease inspection, honey extraction and machinery, top tips for beginners, products reviews, instructions and guidance plus much more.
#NO NONSENSE BEEKEEPING is a UK based beekeeping channel, designed to keep beekeeping as simple and enjoyable as possible. There are no overly complicated techniques or intricate pieces of equipment.
We cover all beekeeping topics ranging from queen rearing, disease recognition/control, honey extraction, swarm management/collection, how to make splits and much more!
My personal favourite aspects of beekeeping are selecting queens for rearing, rearing queens for mating, making up nucs for overwintering and collecting swarms.

Ah this makes me smile. Its SO tempting to make late season splits and kill off both sides. That single colony will be ripe for an early strong split in Spring :D

Good food for thought. Can I book a reminder for late July/early Aug next year, Laurence? (not serious)

    Hey Laurence,
Would you mind mentioning in one of your future videos what are the flowers in the season and when they are seasoning in the UK?
Only curiosity I am asking for.
If you made a video about it already in the past can i get a link to it and sorry then.
Also love the videos! Great work! 👍🏼

Hi i currently have 1 standard national hive that ive over wintered and 2 hives I've built over winter. Whats the best way to go about filling my 2 new hives? Should i build up my colony so it in 2 brood boxes then do two splits or do 1 split spring early summer (swarm prevention) then another split later on. Thanks Ben southampton uk

Thank you for that. I've been told to do it in April or May, but I've wondered how far it could potentially be pushed with reasonable risk.

    Hi Lawrence
Love the vids, could you advise on how I could move bees next year as a slit from commercial hives that I have 4 to langstroth that I have 2 that are in the garage not being used yet. I’m worried that I can’t put a langstroth in a commercial for them to build a free frames up as they only have bees wax rolled onto them as they are plastic frames. Any help would be appreciated thanks Matt
