    Ange is such a breath of fresh air. Hearing him say that the final outcome, good or bad, will pretty much be on him is so reassuring to hear. He's basically saying fans won't have anyone to blame but him. Only a deeply invested, hardworking gaffer would make a statement like that. I think the only thing fans need to do is have a bit of patience, as he's asked on multiple occasions. It's not going to be smooth sailing for every match and we've got to stay level-headed

    "whatever ceiling may exist, let's see if we can smash through it". this and so many other things he said are so refreshing to hear as a spurs fan. so different to what his predecessors said. when we were knocked out of the CL by AC Milan, Conte talked about how they were such a big club, they've won their league, they are ahead of us in their development. but now to have a manager say we deserve to be a successful club, sounds simple, but is something us spurs fans haven't felt from our manager for a good few years now.

    One thing i take from this interview which is really evident on the pitch with the players is accountability. Watching everyone perform. They have purpose and unity and i am actually happy that kane went as i think it was such an important step in the way ange could then have a truly blank slate to build the ethos and atmosphere.
    That alone makes it awesome to see. Most impotantly is the fact that whilst it is early days. It shows that life without kane as many people liked to point out. Has been a progression for us rather than the relegation fodder. .

    • @tom4115
      @tom4115 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think accountability is easy when the instructions are clear. With Ange there is never a "play good don't play bad" like with 99% of managers. It's "always try and get in position to receive the ball", "do this specific job in defence at 100%", "get the balls in play quickly", "play forward at every opportunity", "make these specific runs" etc.

      I’m not sure about that. Klopp is all smiles when he’s winning, but when he loses he gets very catty and bitchy. No honour in that. We’ve seen nothing from Ange yet that would suggest he’ll scream at officials if he loses, complain about other teams bidding £100m for players, only to then bid £100m for a player himself, shout at journalists for the scheduling of his matches, belittle young up-and-coming managers at poorer clubs for their tactics. I’m amazed this glowing image of Klopp is still being held up as reality...there’s enough evidence out there now that he is a bit of a dick. And that’s before we get on to the false teeth which look like an oversized white gumshield, the hair implants, the Tony Pulis fashion / Scouse inspired tracksuit and cap...

I can honestly say now, when it comes to managers, I don't care about results if I feel we are playing good Football, moving in the right direction, if there is a project, a vision that's being worked towards. Suppose Spurs ended up in a disappointing 8th place at the end of this season, would it be worth sacking someone like Postecoglou, who brings that overall vision, and just hiring another manager who's only vision is to be there a bit, get his payout when sacked, while keeping his reputation intact so he can stay on the lucrative European club manager ferris wheel?
