If Tottenham were to beat Liverpool and they aren’t considered at least outside shot title contenders it is because nobody other than Manchester City are title contenders. The fixture list after Liverpool is particularly favorable for Tottenham to stay at the top of the table until facing City in December. From there it’s a January transfer window for one final push that will also be investment into next season’s campaign that will likely have European football as well.

In my honest opinion, based on how we are defining contender as a team with a chance to win the title, no one outside of Man City are contenders. Man City is winning the league. Everyone else is fighting for second place so I guess 2nd place contenders is more fitting.

G'day, a little late with my contribution and found the hypothising interesting. Of course we all tend to have our own thoughts, opinions and ideas.
Mine are quite simple to say, but not so simple to achieve and that is: As a long time follower of Ange in Australia and at Celtic (I missed his time in Japan), Ange NEVER talks about losing or drawing a game. Some say it's an achievement for a visiting team to draw at an away game, for example.
Not Ange. He has only one objective. You guessed it - it's to WIN!
      His teams Never Stop!
Just do some research about Ange at the Socceroos, South Melbourne, Brisbane Roar, Celtic, and Yokohame F Mariners.
Except for the Socceroos, he was a SERIAL WINNER!!!

Tottenham have been surprisingly outstanding. Arguably should have won their drawn games. With Bentancur back in the side who’s a tad better than Sarr (who’s been playing out of his skin) spurs could stay in the top for all season.

@seanbayley7452 no when talking about Wenger it was a million miles away. He had to bring a number of players, the fact is most of our players fit a more expansive system. The problem is the managers didn't.

Ange will buy Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda, the Japanese bhoys he brought to Celtic. Spurs will pay less for them than what they got for Kane, and get at least twice as many goals as Kane did/would.

    • @dockeyboy
