3.5 years i have clocked 46500 kms on my Yamaha R15 v3 bs4 not a single puncture or glitches but chain I used to tighten myself and lubricate the same 👍✌️
Have you made any changes to the handle bar or the seat and grabrail? Did you encounter any problems with the modifications?
@@maheshwarreddy4202 no nothing else totally stock i sold it in April 2023 after buying kawasaki Ninja 300
🧿
That is awesome to hear.
I cant w8thstand cold that well. So having ridden in extreme cold weathers, layering never works for me. So i use an Adventure jacket when in the mountains. But this is good if houre going to start your journey close to the himalayas. If youre riding 2-3 days to reach the mountains and adventure jacket is horrible. What i do is carry a mesh jacket as well but i remove the protective parts (back, Shoulder, elbow, chest) and that turns it into a fabric jacket whoch can be folded and stow it away. I use the rynox Stealth Evo adventure jacket and the Urban X. I swap the protective parts. Having 2 jackets from the same company helps. Of course there will be minor size differences in the protectors but nothing that will bother me. Yes it does take a bit of extra space but i carry minimal luggage, so not a problem at all.
I shower the previous night before i sleep. Helps me sleep. Get up and wear the riding gear and off i go. I never shower before beginning a ride as within a few minutes ill be sweating.
I never drink coffee. It might wake you up but it also dehydrates. Water, sugarcane juice, fruit juices, coconut water for me.
I never ride after 5 or 6pm. Risk increases a lot once its dark. Get to a hotel, take a shower and relax.
I dont carry a hydration pack as i hate anything on my back. When i feel thirsty, i just stop, get off the kotorcycle and drink water and stretch a bit.
Rain liner, i use one with a hood. I wear the hood and the helmet on top of it so no water seeps in from the back of my neck.
Really enjoyed the podcast, it feels very easy to connect with what you guys are discussing, I have done lots of touring on my car, but this year after owning my RC390 for 6 years, decided to do bike touring (first time), solo touring (first time) and I absolutely enjoyed it. it is like the best way to connect with bike and disconnect with the world. The experience gave me courage to do some more bike rides in the near future.
It seems varun and me have the exact same rituals:
1. Fuel up
2. Tyre pressure check
3. Gears laid out.
4. No party sleep early
5. Wake up start the coffee machine
6. Freshen up
7. Gear up
8. Drink coffee leave.
9. Speak to the bike and say our prayers together.
10. Puncture repair kit and inflater always in the backpack
Never thought anyone would be as finicky as me 😂😂
Bingo! Hahahha.
As a 65 year of planet earth experience englishman I am coming to India on 17th October and picking up an Interceptor for a one month motorbike safari, on my own, around Rajasthan - what would you recommend ?
Udaipur to Jaisalmer via Jodhpur, if possible stretch it to Bikaner. Carry lot of sunscreen.
I am desperately waiting for my Blore (via udipi) - Goa - Blore (via Sirsi) motorcycle ride in early Dec. Cant wait...
17:30 - bingo !
19:58 - That's a ritual i picked up from Nicolas Cage in gone in 60 sec when he speaks to Elenor.
25:52 - even i eat light. mostly its water, juice and likewise.
47:35 - never understood the trend of riding on a scooter. Small tank, small tires, underpowered...etc.
a disclaimer- tank to tank is something which requires you to have experience and stamina built for it. Don't aim for it on your first ever ride out.
100%. Learn from each ride.
As a continental owner, ive done trips for 100 kms straight.Gtanted its not like most roadster or comfortable bikes, but it made me so happy at the end!!
The Bestest part of these podcasts is "Song recommendations" ❤
And I had the same horrible experience as Jehan on same stretch (Manor - Pune) at same time he mentioned. It was worst touring day of mine also. 😢
The absolute worst.
Would be great if the product links can be added to the description!
Dayumm u guys just made me feel like going touring right now, n it's a Tuesday.
Epic podcast! Loved every bit of it , I did about 60k on my sportster, riding is like meditation to me, yep and that kaza to manali with all that water crossings is thrilling on a normal day can't imagine when it's raining let alone a cloud burst 😂😂👌👌🏍🏍👏👏🍻🍻
Really nice podcast and a really important one for all riders 👍👍
Starting with a Bismillah and Ayatul Kursi, i talk to my motorcycle on the first slow 5 kms. 💫
Well done Sahil :)
Great podcast! Such a mature dialogue unlike those in which Cyrus gets involved.
please add timeline or timestamp for such a long video
Its a podcast and exactly why we don't add them .
Touring speed is more dependent on other parameters than your super-bike.
Good one,
it was better than senior journalist's just boasting who they are.
will tune in for future videos.
Cheers Jayanth.
Great podcast, as usual. Just one thing - instead of carrying a spare visor, how about a pair of polarised sunglasses in a compact case/pouch? Any thoughts?
Absolutely - helmets like Axor, MT have drop down visors within the helmet that do the job especially for guys who wear spectacles. There’s a risk of the visor cracking in a luggage, hence not many prefer.
Debunking the saying: "find a job that you love and never work"😅
Hahahah.
What’s the name of the shoulder bag mentioned in the podcast for touring?
Brand: Kriega. They are best in all sorts of motorcycle touring bags.
@@lalitkhopade6747thankyou 👍🏽
The brand is called Kriega. There are a bunch of backpacks on their website.
In kerala the maximum speed for two wheelers is 60kmph. It significantly affected the time planning of my last trip
.😢
What I heard last is that Kerala is planning to restrict bikes from riding on highways. Now, good luck touring on service roads.
And also the roads are narrow with high population density. I am from Kerala and I feel like we have to be conscious all the time due to numerous pocket roads and the number of pedestrians on the road.
And also, even when the twisties ( which most of the roads are) are far more enjoyable to ride than pure straights, it restricts the average speed you can carry and will tire you easily
But that's the rule and we as responsible motorcyclists should adhere to them.
Lame rules. India has many other awesome locations.
Which mode of touring is safe?
Only 58 watching power drift channel
Lots of followers/viewers like me watch it at a later convenient time saved on our devices.
I don’t expect people to ‘watch’ an hour long podcast on a Friday evening. They can come back later 😅
People can always come back later and like VP said in this thread, its a Friday evening.
I have travelled from Delhi to Mysore by road 5 times on my maruti suzuki swift diesel 😮
Well done
EV Touring will tick all the answers you guys discussed 😊
Not anytime soon.
im realting to varun and jehan, dayum!! another level brothers
Cheers Omkar.
Loved it as always.. just 1 request.. Independence ride is about the riding brotherhood including sisters.. it is to say we are together.. this time I did it with LRMC .. I rode from sion to Karjat camp max and it was 500 bikes I heard. It was great. So it's OK if u don't like it but please don't degrade it
too less views for such a good podcast
Be slow at start and end of your journey.
The fountain situation is better now after the new bridge
Phew!
Brilliantly curated podcast 😊
You guys need to do this again.. so many missteps ...not liking this... Maybe the part series would work.. also you guys you should start prioritising group rides ...most safest .. most fun..most economical....
Hey Swayan, this is what our boys felt. And group rides is something that they don't prefer but we have so many riders who are a part of so many groups. All love here.
Chapters plss
Its a podcast!
