How did you guys miss "TOUCH CLIMATE CONTROLS"..... Absolutely hate that shit when I have to look away from the road to adjust the temperature/fan speed.

@@DhanushDS what context, it’s a topical list of good and bad things, it’s not that nuanced, most podcasts like this have time stamps for people to hear what their interested in, a person who has a car doesn’t care about bikes and vice versa. Every single successful podcast has time stamps.
@@CyrusDhabhar agreed but for example if someone just wants to see opinions on a particular topic, for eg it could’ve been segmented it as , sunroof, ventilated seats etc, it makes your podcast more useful/personally relevant as someone who just wants to hear the pros and cons on sunroofs could just listen to that rather than hearing about things like for example things about bikes. Especially on list based podcasts it’s doable.

Guys, some time stamps would be nice.
+1 on Apple Car Play and Android auto. Absolutely beautiful features. But here's the other side of the story and specific to VW cars. My previous Rapid came with the 7 inch infotainment system and was a gem of a system, supported 5 different phones that I changed in 18 odd months. Once I upgraded to Slavia top end that came with an 8 inch infotainment system, it just didn't work. The beat or worst part is that the car was launched about a year and half ago and the infotainment system's compatible list of devices are all those phones that were released in 2018 and older than that. Surprising isn't it.
Ventilated seats is another fantastic feature IMO. It works extremely well in cars like Seltos, Verna but is absolutely rubbish on VW cars as they make lot of noise and takes forever to cool. But then once I understood how they work, when I start the car, I make the blower marked to direct air towards legs, let the motor/machine absorb that cold air and cool the seats at the earliest.
Sunroof is another feature which I thought is absolutely useless but I have to agree with Cyrus, it makes the cabin feel more airy and now with monsoons in, the experience of it in rains is just beautiful.
Cruise control is another feature that I think is absolute boon be it bike or car.
As far as features on bikes are concerned it's gotta be traction control and ABS. I just don't ride non ABS bikes anymore (Unless there's an emergency and I got absolutely no option).
The other feature I absolutely love in bikes is the quick shifter. I experienced it for the 1st time on my Ninja 1000 SX and it completely changed the way I upshift or downshift (Except in slow traffic).

For me sunroof is a useless feature but unfortunately top end variants comes only with sunroof.
I own Kia Sonet. I open the covering under the sunroof glass if it’s raining. Listening to some melodies and view of splash on the sunroof is a mood elevating scene. Also when taking a picture while the car is at standstill.
Else, the roof is good for nothing. I don’t open it bcoz it absorbs lot of dust inside the car. 😢

Yep agree with the sunroof, but if the roof without opening would be suitable I guess it would give less claustrophobic feels. Also another to add in my hate list is electronic parking brake doesnt get the feel of manual hand brake 😅. I Might be an old school guy 😂

Small sunroofs should be skipped altogether, manufacturers or even the govt should stop the sale of sunroofs which can be opened. Some cars have panoramic glass which can't be opened. That's the best way to do it. Just open and close the blinds according to your needs
i am having a doubt...suppose my budget is 13 lakhs and i can get a top-of-the-line venue SX opt diesel or a creta EX diesel...which one will depreciate more in 7-8 years...?

I absolutely agree with Varun on the sunroof point man!! It's an absolute useless feature in India.. the amount of problems people have created because of it is just dangerous to another level.. things that work in other countries not necessarily work in India..
Yet people will have it as a key reason to not buy cars like Honda Elevate😅

Guys, Cyrus needs to let others talk. Five seconds of the other guys talking is followed by two mins of Cyrus talking. It needs to be a discussion. Not just Cyrus show. I understand that he has the knowledge and expertise but he really needs to let the others finish what they’re saying

@varunpainter you just spoke my heart out. I hate sunroof in a car. It's distracting and has no pratical implications or comforts (atleast not in India). All these years i use to think I am the only person in this world who hates sunroofs. thanks man!!

Sunroof is just a useless hole in a car
Quick Shifter and Auto Blipper on bikes has been a game changer for me. Hate those always on LED headlights on scooters like activa. they absolutely blind you, if you are heading the other way, they are just unsafe.
Until and Unless, I am gonna be sticking out my tripod through the sunroof, with the car on a stationary position, "A BIG NO TO SUNROOF". I'm in favour of Varun sir. 🙌
I have very different views on cruise control after having used it extensively, even in Bombay city. Sealink + reclamation all day, WEH late nights and every other road where I cross 40, I put on cruise control and mobilise my right knee, even if it is for a few seconds. Also, on the expressway, you see speed cameras coming up, you drop down to 100 and engage cruise control. That's it. You don't have to look at the speedo again till you've crossed the speed cameras. To me, it has become a non negotiable feature to have in my next car.
8:18 The accidents of Rishab pant & Cyrus Mistry are 2 different types of accidents, which show the need for ADAS.
Sunroof should be stopped in India.. most useless feature here in our country.. if they have to give it.. provide panaromic sunroof but for that one need to have bigger vehicle.. can't have panoramic on alto..

One feature which is catching up fast but is a pain to use ' screen only dashboard with touch sensitive controls' and no nobs or buttons.
Early APACHE RTRs 0-60 and top speed recorder was one of the coolest features that none of the bikes had at the time

favourite feature would be modern instrument cluster which provide multiples data on display.
Disliked feature would be the LED headlights, they serve no purpose in city or on highways.

I have seen Ambassador go through thick brick walls with no problem back in the day. The driver coming out without a scratch. I am not saying anything like it's safer but a modern Alto is still a tough call. It will most likely depend on the crash.

It feels nice to have a sunroof just to make it nicer I enjoy the feeling of raindrops on the glass above and some natural light from the top of the car and it feels roomier or less claustrophobic, especially in my Elantra which has a black interior it's nice it just gives the perception of having more space in the car. so it's not required but you can say it's just a luxury feature to have.
