- Have you noticed the heated discussion about the Raspberry Pi AI kit? Are you curious about the difference in fps, power consumption, and pricing between Raspberry Pi AI Kit and Coral when running the same models? How about the potential to be unlocked when we switch to PCIe Gen3.0 from PCIe Gen2.0 on Pi 5?
This week, our colleagues Jenna and Aidan will explore with you together about the power of Raspberry Pi in the AI world. We prepared a series of benchmark demos and the potential real-world applications Raspberry Pi AI usher in, upgraded power distribution, smart retail, and more!
Are there hidden gems waiting to be discovered? Our unrevealed M.2 hat for Raspberry Pi is waiting for you, dual Interface, 3D Printing Case, and probably the lowest price on the market.

Great work!
Thanks for these live sessions as they help with purchasing decisions and general knowledge.
Thank you very much for the positive words. We are glad to be of a bit help.
Good review
How much slower does using the double M2 board make the AI? I currently have an RP5 with an NVME already, so could just upgrade it when that becomes available. Alternatively I could just use an SSD/USB3 instead as I have a spare somewhere. Then I could use the single NVME/board but that is more hassle and less neat. It all depends on the speed loss by using the dual board whether it is worth the hassle.
Currently, most of the dual M.2 Pi5 hats available on the market use a PCIe 2.0 switch. This means that there is approximately a 50% loss in acceleration performance for high-load AI projects using Hailo. As for the PCIe 3.0 hub, there will also be some performance loss because Hailo will share the PCIe bandwidth with the SSD. Seeed is currently testing a PCIe 3.0 hub, and we will provide updated test results in the future.
@@aidan1857 so if they make a PCI 3 dual M.2 board in August will it be like PCI2 (eg. Twice as fast but split in two) or does the hub divide bandwidth unequally so if the NVME drive is quiet you get more than half of PCI 3 bandwidth for the AI M.2?
@@eberger02 PCIe switches do not evenly distribute bandwidth. Instead, they can provide the full bandwidth to each channel. For example, if the accelerator is not in use, the SSD will receive the full PCIe 3.0 bandwidth, and vice versa. We will conduct actual tests on the acceleration performance of both 2.0 and 3.0 PCIe hubs when the accelerator and SSD are operating simultaneously, and we will provide a report. Stay tuned:D
RP AI seems really cool, hope to try it some day. Also the ReComputer is something I think could be useful to atleast one of my customers
Definitely, and thank you for the interest! It’s a good timing to try the reComputer R1000 with the live only coupon code then!😉
I have started tinkering with Coral TPU Accelerator, but seems like the M2 board will give faster performance comparing to USB connection. So here I am, the top user 😊 Let's do AI revolution together!
I think USB Connection might cause some speed lost and delay. We are actually also working on the benchmark with coral. Feel free to talk to us and discuss more together!
green live!🎉🎉
Very nice product
We truly appreciate your feedback and comments. They bring us lots of fulfillment and satisfaction.💞
I like Node Red and use it but once you start adding function nodes you might as well just program it. What code was in each of the function nodes?
I hope to see all LoRa GPS tracking hardware
i think you got all the prizes
😃All winners are randomly selected, so don't lose heart. We hope you become our lucky winner in the next draw!
