The thought of pouring my mind out into an online platform and something happening to its storage and losing all of it gives me extreme anxiety. that's why I've been migrating my online fave videos, music and movies to analog backups because things in the world don't seem to be going too well and just cloud storage is kinda scary. I love the concept tho. That journey through your interests really reminded me of why I love journalling. It's hard to find people who also have a passion for it but I'm glad you created this channel! I love the topics you choose and how you express thoughts. Like the thought about the restaurant being Diana themed was so true. Its my roman empire in a way, the layers every person has. It reminded me of my own passion to document the layers of people around me too!
That's why I stopped using Notion. I don't like the idea that they're not "mine". I started using an anaolog version of Zettelkasten. I try to do it my way. So with lots of subjects that I find interesting, ordered in a way, that I find logical :-)
@Yasminn097 Not youtube but I've started with music for now, storing it on a HDD hard drive. I have started the process for my personal memories and photos as well. Not sure how to handle movies and youtube yet!
I like that you touched on the topic of when the page is running out you lose that feeling and thought . Like there's a space when you turn the page your thought stops and loses emotion. I go through that allot when writing.
Girl, you would love esoteric astrology (even if you don’t believe in determinism, you can consider how it’s a system that combines qualities, core concepts, and areas of life) and epistemology as tools of self-exploration
@dreamingofthemoontonight oh nice, I'm glad! I actually learned about esoteric astrology from your comment (because it does seem to be a branch of astrology), so thank you lol
i always look forward to these videos ! i used to digitally journal when i was burnt out from my writings but as ive started writing again ( for the first time in months ) ive been trying to balance out my digital journals and my paper ones ! thank you for these videos , , they're so helpful
i just found your channel & watched both of your videos about commonplace books. i've known about them & been interested in them for years & i've tried keeping my own in a few different ways before but they haven't really worked out for me. your videos have been some of the most, if not the most inspiring videos on the subject that i've seen & i'm very excited about giving commonplace books another go! i hadn't heard about scrintal before but you showing the boards you've created made me really intrigued. i would love to see a tour of your scrintal and hear you talk more about it + see more of the things you've created there! anyway, thank you so much for these videos, i'll definitely be watching more of them!
Dude- you’re so creative! I look up to you & I can just tell that God has created you to do outstaaaanding things (:! Proverbs 4:23-27 “Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead. i love love love the concept of online journalling and keeping track of your thoughts as a person who constantly worries, thinks, ponders and wants to gain knowledge and find their purpose but im from south asia and its really hard to afford scrintal here as a teenager especially (currency dynamics make dollar really expensive for the average person here) so i would really appreciate it if anyone could suggest me a free alternative?
I use Notion and Obsidian and Padlet, which all have free options. Others I've heard of are Miro, Evernote, Roam Search, Milanote, Mural, Logseq, Muse, and Clover but I know little to nothing about those.
Can we have a conversation where we explore our insides? Just randomly blabing. Also, thanks for this video. It feels like you're helping us look into ourselves instead of focusing on the rest by showing how it's been working for you. This goes for the rest of your videos Thank you
I'm in the same spot as you, i don't have any favourite or anything interesting to like. So i kinda put myself out there and write whatever i seem to find interesting. I don't go too much into details to any of those things just collect the interesting bits and let it go. You can write/collect whatever seems interesting to you while scrolling on social media, while not giving too much thoughts to it. Eventually you might start to understand your interests and insights.
i don't think you need to have favourites to do this. if you go through life and record what you experience, after a while you can see connections between them even though you couldn't at first. it doesn't have to be journalling either. it could be as simple as screenshots of tweets you like. if you see anything you like, record it in any way you can. eventually you'll have a collection you can go through to sort/organize/whatever you wish to do with them. or maybe just keep them and do nothing.

im very interested in what you mean by backing stuff up to analog backups. do you mean you put youtube videos on dvds?

Isn't that "humanistic astrology" then? Are they different?
@@miriam_el Learned a new term today thanks to you! That’s absolutely what I mean. :-)

I saw recently a video by ParkNotes where he asks questions on a journal about his ideologies and thinking, it's really useful for self discovery!
Im too boring to do this , no favorite producer , author , fashion brand or anything specific....
hey you can do this to find out more things about yourself ! Writing/journaling helps you find yourself too :)
