@@SMOOTHCUTPRODUCTION Crips and GDs always had a connection mostly in the South, but surprisingly also on the WestCoast. While there are little to no GDs in Los Angeles, there are GDs in NorCal, San Diego and Oceanside.
In the South, and some parts of the MidWest, in the 1990s, there was a non-sactioned alliance between Crips and GDs called the 8Ball. That alliance was non-existent outside those areas.
As far as Vice Lords and Black P. Stones (Peoples), the BPS connection with Bloods is in Los Angeles.

He was asking because the 40s are in SD and in LA. It made sense to ask. Daygo gang culture and LA have similarities, but these are two very different cities with different politics. A lot of SD gangs have zero ties to LA. They’re homegrown, San Diego gangs.
