It gets real in Daygo. I lived out there from 2001-2013 and they gangbang like it’s the 90’s (atleast in that 2003-2010 era). It was super active. Google “Southeast Bound vol 1” you couldn’t go major black spot without a jumping or a shootout happening. I’m from the Chuey’s aka Work Dat Twerk Dat, Fam Mart, Tina’s, American Legion on 47th era. I even coach at Lincoln High for a couple years. I say that to say, don’t think it’s just bitches and beaches
Fam mart used to be vicious
Work that twerk dat...memories.....😂
@SMOOTHCUTPRODUCTION Oh yeah, it used to be treacherous at Fam Bam especially in 90s....I remember when they had rap contest out there and usually it was shut down because of the festivities
@@RG-zw5wc lol tell me I’m lying, best club to ever hit Daygo
@@RG-zw5wcMy brothers owned dat joint. James & Maurice
San Diego ain't no joke. It's literally real niggaz everywhere. San Diego does, and always has had a "little brother" complex when it comes to LA, however. That's not a diss. Just reality.
That’s makes them more volatile because they tryna prove a point
@@PactWitDaRacks yep. My point exactly.
Aint nobody worried about la or deigo though....😮😂😂😂 just another place on my earth.
I grew up in Southeast San Diego, it was no joke but great memories at the same time.
Stop cutting the man off interviewers need to learn that
Facts whats the point of bringing them up for an interview and keep yapping 😂😂😂
Cuz does that chit alot! N then will knowingly keep over talking the guest to make a point or tell his story. Like cuz calm down u aint the guest 😂
💯
I thought I was the only one, that shit annoying straight up I'm here for Mitchy slick. Bay area love

I'm from LA but moved to Oceanside (DVC hood) as a teenager (in 1994) ended up in Juvenile Hall in S.D., bloods was about 23 deep in unit 500. Tiny Cowboy from Skyline, 59 Brims, Lincoln Parks, Opharel park, etc., they was all banged out.
I was in the hall back then unit 100 I remember everybody who was there real talk 2024
It’s spelled O’farrell
Tijuana to san Diego was Krazy back in the 1990,s lol 🎯😂🤣💯🔥
Sure was. My best friend grew up in SE and I remember joking with him back in the day that had we met in HS I couldn't have just come to visit him at his pad in that Era lol.
Too many Bloods in Diego
U aint from nowhere! So whats the issue 🤦🏽♂️🤣

Fake ones. Dudes act like bloods just to fit in. Can’t beat them join them in daygo.
Much respect to Mitchy, he is that dude 💯💪👊
Alot of cities are like that. I remember Dre getting pressed in Pittsburgh by those Bloods out there. They showed luv to Kiss n Face
Damn eight let that man get his point across..😂
Eight had a San Diego flashback lol
😂😂 maaan and couldn’t leave it alone
Let Mitchy talk Eiht, damn.
Great interview
People think of San Diego they think of a navy town my homie was in navy got station in San Diego he said it goes down out there n they gangbang like a motherfuka San Diego is very underrated city
Nah real Gangbangers who have done time from all over California know San Diego is with the activities, only non affiliated Gang GROUPIES think otherwise.
I know back in the 90s and early 2000s when I was younger the military dudes used to get it bad out here.
You bragging about violence, you should want to live in a peaceful community!
@@oloatis2182that mindset to advanced for them homie
We the first city to adopt Bloods Pirus and Crips after it all started, we started round the time LA started, We got gangs older than gangs in LA, we do our own thang and we just as active as LA if not more active because we had something to prove being the little brother city to LA. We got shooters out here but Dago mfz out here ain’t gotta problem getting em up rather it be Black, Mexican, White, Asians, Africans. Dago reputables ran multiple prison yards and when the dope game was popping Dago held it down when outta towners was trynna come set up shop and take over the city. They better put some respect on my city name.
YG was out here fighting The crips💯
I heard the locs were showing luv at first. YG kept bangin' on them and it was a wrap after that
Him and his guys was down here deep it was a warzone #Cet
No the crip from daygo run him 0ut no where to find him
Im a just a dude from New Orleans aka Gotham City. I just drove thru cali from Oakland to San Diego.../It's REAL UP THERE!! You'll get it twisted because its beautiful sceneries and great weather. Them dudes in Cali is GRIMEY!!!!!!!!! Luv Cali though just have your head on a swivel. New Orleans looks hard so you'll automatically be on point, San Diego is beautiful & you'll get it phuqd up!
That is what gets out of towners all the time, California is one of the last states. So the scenery is new and not as ran down as a East coast or south vibe in the trenches, but the tension is there from decades of gang culture. I went to certain parts of New Jersey and the visual was that of Vietnam but fairly safe. Cali got blocks that look like DisneyLand but active as Vietnam.
I remember when Snoop came out here and got ran off the stage, him and the dogg pound!
Coors amphitheatre. I remember that.
I like Snoop but he kinda deserved it. He started stomping on a red rag some blood threw on stage. Tony Yayo also got ran out of a club once. Game references it on one of his diss tracks.
Facts, I was there too they got ran off stage Nate Dogg was chucking mic stand like a spear
Mitch being polite lol Snoop, Dogg Pound, Eastsidas didn’t get into it with SD niggas. They got ran off the stage. I was at that show and the Brims shut that shit down.
I heard Daz was loc'd out that day.
@@AnthonyWoodhouseJrIII-zn1nuDaz threw one of them bigass speakers off the stage into the crowd. But once a few niggas started getting on stage, they all took off.
Coors amphitheatre. Yup
It was fighting speakers and shit Beth tossed it went on until the stage had nothing on it
Shit got ugly fast
I wasn’t there, I was around 13-14 or somethin, my momz was saying hell no you not goin to that show! but EVERYONE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED and talked about it the next day. Haha sh- was wild in the 80s 90 n even 2000s. I hate to say I miss it but I kinda do, genuine people hard to come by.
SD is piru territory mostly. I was out there in the early to mid 90s.
morse, moonlight market, skyline park...loved growing up there
Can’t wait to see the full video Mitchy Slick that’s my Niga mc E that’s my Niga big steel. That’s my Niga. Love this video interview. Oh yeah. Cuz
This the second cali dude to say banging in Omaha is serious
It’s plenty more. Sht been active since the 80s.💯
@@lucddr3am3r83 I’m from north Omaha so I know exactly what he talking about. The movie belly created a false narrative and image of the city.
@@lucddr3am3r83 LA dudes was taking over Omaha. Thats how they got gangs out there
@spenser6353 he was talking about the white dudes though. The ones MTV did the documentary about in the mid 90s. No one is scared of those clowns lol.
Good interview
You gone catch so many freeways you gone fall asleep -Tray Dee
San Diego used to have more crips in the mid 90’s.
A lot of them moved out to SV and El Cajon because they actually had strong holds in parts of those cities. I went to ECV and MV in HS. ECV actually had more NHCs than bloods, and MV had a bunch of WC Crips. Once you got to Mt Miguel though it was mostly bloods.
Yup daygo is a bandwagon city. When jayo was popping the majority was crips. Once he declined and mitchy and the young skyline rappers started popping the whole city switched.
Interview Big June 👌🏾
I grew up in Skyline. DJ Quik was big in my neighborhood after we heard he was from Treetop.
Just talking over each other lol
Ima say this one thing bring you as out here if you want to with that tough shit and see what happens!

Gold Coast Classic was an ERA 🙌🏽😮💨
SDSE Since 1980!!! Talk about PTSD. I grew up during the bloodiest years, remember watching M. Slick hang out with his goons at 4-5 Park
Bought a couple houses in Shell Town, then bounced to see the world in 2010 but I visit the homies and family every year. San Diego ain’t near as bad as it used to be. It’s safe now. I still pack though just incase LOL
LET MY BOY MITCHY SPEAK!
From tj to oceanside the whole country is on some shady betta watch out shit.
I used to live down there back in 90-91 in 69 piru neighborhood. I went to ofarrell elementary.
I was stationed in San Dogg from 88-97. Shit was real. 4-5 Park, Barrio Logan, Base Liquor store and the alley behind it, Sourheast San Diego, National City, Chula Vista, downtown when they had the $2 movie theaters and the liquor stores on the corner. Horton Plaza was hood with the gang members hanging out down there etc.
I was stationed there '93 - '96, then went back from '99 - '01. Had a blast but left broke both times. Mission Beach, FAM BAM, MCRD base club, whatever the club was on Sports Arena blvd, Mr Os, The Round table, the one club up off Imperial that kept getting closed down . American Legion of 47th..list goes on!
Damn LET MITCH TALK !!!!!
That up in smoke got active af
Yeah dat. Mitch was wrong tho. It wasn’t the Up In Smoke concert. It was after that. It was the Puff Puff Pass tour. Snoop, Dogg Pound, Eastsidaz, and the Alkaholiks. Brought my little homegirl down from LB. She was talkin bout rockin the blue chucks and LB fitted. I’m like no tf you ain’t. 🤣
Shit i came here to hear Mitchy and he keep gettin cut off..
Me and the homie (Mexicans) got jumped by some bloods in Diego when we were partying out there.
Daygo blood city but u have some crips
I think the host needs the guest to talk about their self more as the host 😆
I be in San Diego, my brother Levi my sister Melina has a daughter by Day Day who played in the NFL. Now he couches Lincoln High just took State. My Unk Rico is a wrong kind member. Them dudes don't play about Lincoln Park!! I'm from South Phoenix, got Homies from skyline as well. And the got Crips out there that's Rocking!! Diego is Popping!!
Crazy I never knew Akili Smith went by "Day Day". I actually had a class with him when he went to Grossmont JC. Good dude.
Funny how sandiego is about 5 city’s in one- hole sections of us never even saw the beach untill we was grown
I'm a square. My older sister is Hood. She took me to Fan Mart back in the day, and it got raided a short time afterward. Some years later I try to take my Filipina girlfriend to a festival at a shopping center near 54th and Euclid, but when we got there it was taped off because of a shooting. After that we just stayed around Coronado and Pacific Beach. My family's from Denver, and people think it's soft, too. But there's plenty of wolves out there. Back when the Crack epidemic was going on, we got flooded with L.A. gangsters who called Denver "The Big Easy". But they changed all that.
It was hard 90s but not now
We rushed the stage in SD at the concert. I was like the 3rd one on the stage after Dax threw the speaker
Anyone from SD who was at that Up in Smoke show at Southwestern College? I was all f'd up. The show seemed to end weird, people running, I was getting stepped on. What the f happened? I never found out.
San Diego music go hard
Both are real ones,Back in the day they couldn't be in the same room,That's how real it was.But only the real ones made bridges back in the day,Bloods and Crips fuck wit each other
WC and the Madd circle had to leave san diego state...I was there and walked DUB and the circle back to their limo. Actually, I got that white WC and the madd circle t-shirt. All the homies said to WC was ..."YOU CAN RAP, but just dont do that dance." They were aggressive about it because they did not know who WC was or coolio at that time. And they were reppin LA, BLUE THIS , BLUE THAT, LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSE TOO.
