I agree with you. I respect people because of who they are and how they are not by the color of their skin. Im 65 years old I lived through all the real bullshit of color. I remember when I was a child when we went to the doctors office colored people used a different door than we did. And I remember when they did the school thing. I was raised in a little bity town in the swamps of Louisiana. We weren't raised that way. Like I said I'm 65 and when I was in elementary and high-school Regina Barnes is her name and shes black as hell not light black. She hung out with all of us slept at our houses at sleep overs. I love Regina to this day. We need to simply be GOD'S CHILDREN

I myself was fortunate to have the ability to be from the ghetto a.k.a. the slums to live in the country club around eight years old. I seen the difference as far as availability and opportunity. A young man can possess at a young age. The school itself was night and day. We weren’t offered life changing opportunities for career in the hood. But in the country club, I had access to woodshop, drafting, drama, production, auto body, and welding. I’m currently a two decade plus career Boilermaker that builds and repairs powerplants and refineries. The majority of the information that gave me an eye-opening thought process was in the country club. This country knows exactly what they’re doing by keeping Black people in the hood without an ability to properly educate themselves. When I was in the hood, it was survival mode. I didn’t have to live that type of way, Just trying to figure out what I was going to eat when I came to the country club. Some of the guys I grew up with felt awkward coming to my house because it was considered rich. There wasn’t police driving around harassing kids in those particular areas. People cut their grass and the lawn was full and not yellow. I didn’t hear gunshots throughout the day and night. We didn’t have to jump out of bed and lay on the floor wondering if a stray bullet was going to come through the wall. It was extremely peaceful. But this type of lifestyle is design for YT people and not blacks. I have to admit being in that environment did make me a little soft because when I seen menace to society, I was truly terrified. But when I lived in the hood, it was so common that I really didn’t even hear the bullets being fired constantly. That’s a mind fuc fo ur ass. I’m glad this movie was made to remind me where I came from and how my people suffer mentally.
