@@lumosfan It's not garbage but in all the bosses in this game, there is a way of dealing more damage in every situation by using something other than elegy. You also have to give up a significant number of charm spots for elegy. The only fight where it may arguably be more useful for is Markoth.

Elegy deals way less damage than regular nailhit (about 50%).
Grubberflies elegy is pretty garbage
