@@johnsworldofvideopokerHi John,we play in reno mostly Atlantis and Peppermill,Hit the royal first five minutes playing quarter 8/5 bonus poker, thinking I was going to have to grind away for a while got surprised!
Hi John, thank you for another great video! Was educational to see how you monitor the bankroll. For a fellow bonus player after watching your videos, I can't tell you how grateful I am for your knowledge of the game. I'm having the best time playing and getting many more comps because of the extra miles on play. Thank you again for everything,! Wishing you the best. Go get em! truly fran
Wow! I’m truly humbled, and I thank you for your kind comment. I tend to be a little sloppy in my play lately because I haven’t used a simulator daily that “warns on mistakes” to keep myself in top form. But I’m am getting back to it now, especially since the higher denomination play requires near perfect strategy. I’m glad to hear things are going well for you, and if you’re using house-money to take a few swipes at the casino on the higher denominations (without going beyond your means), I’m sure you hit some unbelievable wins in the future. My own rule is to be “frugal with my money, and more aggressive when it’s “their money” at risk in a session. Losing house money is a risk worth taking and “not a loss, if it’s thrown back in. Good luck, monitor and manage your bankroll carefully, and thank you for watching and subscribing!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Great Job, Bill. It’s truly so much fun and exciting to hit a Royal Flush very early in a session, especially when your sleeves are rolled-up and you’re ready to do battle with the grind of Bonus Poker. You’re my hero!😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Greetings from Torrance! Hi John! Even though this machine wasn't rolling, there was a lot to learn. For me, its really hard to recognize when its time to back down or even when to go up. This was a fantastic video on preserving the bank roll. Sometimes just surviving is the best strategy. Players can get very stubborn and try to pursue a big win all the way to the end(like me). Knowing when its time to move on can be part of a good strategy. Thanks again! Will try to get out to Pechanga on the 31st of this month. Hope to see you there!
Hi Paul, thank you, as always, for commenting. Yes, this was a tricky session to navigate! With such an inadequate bankroll (against the $25/bet of the $5 coin denomination) it could have easily drained me when I was down to between $300-$500 left in the bankroll. I held fast because there’s been many times with my past experiences where I have won big even with a paltry $500 against the $5 coin denom. I was lucky that it rolled a little my way until I was able to safely scale back down to the safer $2 coin denomination. I decided to withdraw my bankroll and save it for battle on another day. It doesn’t always work out this way, but a lot times it does with spectacular results (i.e. an $8,000 or $20,000 Royal Flush). Hopefully, I can catch one of those on video. Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay in touch regarding August 31st, I’m pretty sure that we’ll be able to meet and catch up. Greetings to Mom, and your family.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you for watching and for subscribing if you haven’t already done so. I need to hit an $8,000 or $20,000 Royal in order to start upping the coin denominations into the $10 & $20 coin denominations. I appreciate your comments and viewership.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Wow! Thank you for that comment. I had no idea that, that, could possibly be going on! I will definitely check into that. That really surprises me! I appreciate the heads-up. Thank you!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you, I’m glad you liked the video. As for the $5 coin denomination decision, I was woefully under funded when I started with the $1,300 bankroll at the beginning, and you can see how quickly that it dropped me down to the $300’s. I had to crawl back up to the $1,000 mark, and on a lot of draws there was nothing happening. At $25 a bet, it can quickly take you down to a $500 bankroll or less in a hurry. So, I played it safe. I was essentially waiting for a Quad to hit, but since none seemed to be coming my way, I exited an underperforming machine. We’ll try again next time. Thanks for watching.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
In the case of DDB, Yes, you would hold a pair of Aces, and NOT hold, 2 pair. But in BP, you hold 2 Pair, because you not only get paid 10 coins, but also have a chance at 15 coins, with a 3 of a Kind, and a chance at 40 coins, with a Full House. If you were to hold only the 2 Aces, that would be forfeiting an extra 15% advantage over to the House. Each game, with their unique pay tables, requires different hold strategies. But, you’re correct, if this were DDB. Great question. I appreciate your comments and viewership. That means a lot to mean.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

my simulations on home computer with wolf frugal video poker and winpoker 6 show/prove its better to martingale the jackpot royal flush or 4 aces w/ kicker to make profit, the reason its a bad idea to tamper with the bet denom with improper bankroll because you are playing a game that returns 97.5 (minus the royal) not only that theres hardly any ebb n flow you can take advantage of in a 97.5 when its all tied into the 4 of a kinds so yes if you have to and i dont recommend to play -ev game then atleast martingale the jackpot not the smaller hands the reason why its working for you shows your that 1/3 that is lucky meaning if 100 heads try that 66 would be losers and 1/3 would be winners however again your on the lucky side of things all and all it won't matter how manage your money unless there comping your money right back into the players card w/ free play
Thank you for your in-depth insights into probability theory. I need to take a more profound examination of these details and come up with mix of various games that will intersect with each other to maximize my gains. Thank you for your analysis!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Well, I guess I should say that there are times where I’m playing and practically every possible hand from the full house down to JoB’ are constantly hitting and Quads are rolling out every 3-10 minutes throughout the session. On those rare occasions when this is happening, I can “up the coin denominations” and make a lot of money. We will continue to press on, and hopefully in time, I can capture a session where any and everything all over the pay table is hitting right and left. At least this session didn’t devour my bankroll. I’ll come back to try again. Thank you for your comments and please subscribe if you haven’t already. Thank you so much!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Yes, I wasn’t always this way, I used to strictly follow near perfect strategy. Sometimes, I’ll sacrifice a long term strategy hold (such as holding a suited Jack/10) and hold an unsuited Jack/Ace if my bankroll is running low and I’m just trying to preserve the last bit of a bankroll. I know the correct strategy when I do this, but I’m playing short term strategy in those situations. However, there’s really no excuse for it. The long term strategy holds are the way to go. Also, I really need to keep up with daily simulator practice that “warns on mistakes” to get back in top playing form. I will certainly need to play correctly as I go into higher and higher coin denomination territory. Thank you for the reminder. I’ve got a bit of work to do. Thank you for your comments. In time, you’ll see my errors become less and less frequent.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
The machine will roll it out when it wants to, doesn’t take “perfect” strategy. You press the button, hold the best cards then hope you hit. You can play “perfect” & still not hit anything.
@Kenna198 There are short term strategies, that when used, can yield surprisingly big wins at times. On the other hand, long term strategy is our best hope in preserving our bankrolls, as long as possible, against the all powerful negative variance built into the game to guarantee a profit to the casinos. But you are also correct in understanding that we can hold the correct cards and hit a Royal, we can also hold the incorrect cards and hit a Royal, or be dealt a Royal without holding any cards at all. The beauty of the game is its randomness. Anything, at anytime, can hit, in spite of the long term odds.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
