Oktava MK-012 Drum Overhead Test

Hey guys! Recently got a new pair of Oktava MK-012's as my new set of overhead mic and had my buddy Andrew Bennett come and test them out for me on the kit! You're actually hearing me talk through it right now with no EQ or compression. Let me know what you think!

Great video! Andrew has chops, that's for sure. I find the Audix kick drum mic a bit mid heavy but very punchy when I have tracked my Ludwig kits but you have a nice round tone on your video. Enjoyed it, I look forward to seeing more from you in the future. M

Awesome! They are more than worth it! Especially if you can get a used pair like I did. Drum OHs, Acoustic guitars, voice work like in this video... So very versatile!

Amazing mics tried them on OH, XY piano, close AB piano, vocals and acoustic guitars and did amazing job on them all. Tried also the large diaphragm MK102 on guitars and vocals which was amazing too. I like how fast they are but natural and smooth.

Awesome! These mics are definitely work horses. I'll be using them to record acoustic guitar tomorrow for a artists EP. I'll have to make another update video on them at some point to show them on different sources. I don't have a piano to try them out on, but I can only imagine they sound great on it!
