I’m extremely envious of the designers’ and artists’ ability to have such an eye for detail and the patience they have for all this. Such a beautiful and amazing job they’ve done which is one of the reasons why I admire stop-motion animation so much
Went down to see the sets today, they're being displayed in London where most of the movie was made. Anyone that has the chance please go have a look for yourself. It's completely free and it gives you such a real sense of the time, effort and talent that went into Isle of Dogs.
Agreed! I went to the London IoD exhibition today - the amount of detail in those characters and sets is absolutely mindblowing. I now feel like have to see the movie a second time to see all the details that I missed first time around.
i never noticed until now that they actually put beauty in trash island, a sort of style. i hear "trash island" and i don't think much about it, but now realizing how much work went into it...wow.

They eere talking about this st my writing group the otherday because id just watched Grand Budapest. She said it was amzing. Ive not actually seen it by another perpendiclar from the universe the third party had been flipping through a cooffee table book about Grand Budapest Hotel in the week I know How interesting 😊
Saw the movie on Friday and was to be honest a little disappointed, felt there was little emotional connection to any of the characters and that they weren’t very memorable (which was really surprising for Wes Anderson). However I can still appreciate the craftsmanship of the set builders and the animators for creating a truly beautiful looking movie.
The movie looks interesting but I question the story a bit. Wes Anderson is always somewhat pushed the political envelope. But he may have pushed a bit too far on this one. This plays more like a propaganda film. Then it does anything resembling Japan today.
