Good to see you give this game props! I have had this pin for quite a while, and it was my first pin too. In retrospect I paid too much for it because the cab is beat and some playfield inserts are worn but I don't care, it's a great pin. Mine was shipped to France originally, has the markings inside and had a French coin door; it's a keeper. The example you have here is amazing!
Tons of cold solder joints on all those Data East boards for sure...also the boards underneath the playfield...which is true for all these older pinball machines! The Crane tends to get stripped screws that hold it to the turning shaft as the shaker motor really gives it a shaking...and shaker motor is running quite a bit in this game. No spare parts left on this machine---sorry!!
Just realized the sub in my machine wasn't working. Got it working now, but there doesn't seem to be much bass hitting in this game or some other issue. I know you have another machine in the works. Was curious if this game is suppose to thump to the sound effects and music. Getting more treble than bass. I have messed with the amp controller behind coin door and that will make the game LOUD, but still would expect to have some 'oomph' to it. Thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.
love your videos. Just picked up my first machine locally. A 1985 Gottlieb "Rock". From what I have seen a low run and getting pretty rare. Not a super great machine. Has no ramps or bumpers but fun and really "That 80's". lol
Played this one few times in a small amusementhall on a 4-star campsite in France in '97, then never saw it again in real life. Years later I started playing it's emulated counterpart (PinMAME). Great pinball adaption of a good movie. Songs like AC/DC's Big Gun and Queensrÿches Real World are nicely recomposed for this game. Data-East / Sega / Stern did a good job choosing this sterero BSMT2000 sound system. Do you have a favorite "pinball soundtrack"?
Just picked this machine up at auction! Overall great condition. Gonna start converting to LED's soon. Your machine looks great! Anything about this machine 'tips and tricks' that you can help me with? i.e. Things that tend to go bad or wrong. Also, I'm missing the red cover for my topper - you wouldn't happen to have an extra laying around would you? lol.
Nice to see some footage of the inventory. We'd all love to see more behind the scenes footage.
Much love from the UK.

Rock IS a good game! the two little flippers are neat in that "mini playfield" area"!
Thanks! Yes...they seem to be very jealous of us! I guess the fact that our games are half their prices is a start!

With Data East, is a tie between Laser Wars, Tommy, and Time Machine!
Beautiful machine Todd. Have you checked out game room collectables newest video? A 10 min rip on u guys!
Hi Todd.
What brand of LED's are you using in this machine? What colour/type bulb are you using under the slings?
+Kyle Ringler They are all Pinball Life!
