Q Lift by Quigley. That is the only one approved by Ford. Then there is Van Compass and they have 4 versions. Weld Tec has both AWD and rear wheel drive versions. And then there is Agile. They use the Quigley front end and put their own rip kit on the back. That way you get both a lift and a suspension upgrade. That’s the way we are going to go.
My wife and I enjoy your videos ('discovered' you a couple months ago). 'If those pots and pans don't work out then I would recommend Magma 7 piece. Nesting, high quality, non-stick ceramic and induction usable.

Sometimes I think you see me here with my taped outdoor shower door, random stack of items in the micro and mismatched pots & pans🤣 Great motivation to tackle a few of my friction points! Excellent ideas & video as always. I will look for a microwave tub and bathroom pockets. Very interesting to see how the couch came out!
Bought the carpet you recommended for my PW Ascent TS (1 year older than yours) - winner! Now my dog ha traction and it is very sleek, rather than my two scruffy mats. Thanks for your tips. No lagoon table for me either
You will love your ninja bullet, I’ve been using mine daily now for some time, holds its charge really well. We can certainly always down size and reorganise our cupboards .
Here is another clever Gord hack. He went to a music store and bought a cymbal bag with a zipper closure. He added 2 round thin pieces of carpet to it and now we store the glass microwave dish in that on travel days and still have room for storage.
I love this type of video from you - I started following you after you bought your PW and you had so many good tips. Thank you for saving me innumerable hours and $ of trial and error shopping. Safe travels.
Thank you for showing what you did in the microwave, that is brilliant. I don't use that microwave at all, I store bowls, plates and silicone bags for storage. I will use one of the grey cord baskets and organize the microwave area. BTW those cord baskets you suggested a while back are great! I bought extra ones from Target, so I can spare one for the microwave. Also, it is great to see that we can add foam to our sofa beds if needed. It was great to see what that area of the sofa looks like as well as how it is removed.
Yay, got my first notification! 😊 Love all the tips you recommended, especially the milk pot, something I'll definitely look into. I am so excited for you both. All the adventures & ice cream you'll be tasting, yummy!😋 I think my favorite so far, even though I've yet to try it, is the "Cow's Ice Cream from PEI" that ice cream looked so delicious 😋 Wishing you both a wonderful time & all the delicious ice cream you can eat 😋 Safe travels, Yvonne 🥰
Greetings from Santa Fe, NM. It is more challenging to do a refresh when you live and travel in the RV full-time. The biggest thing we do is to take stock of how many loads of staff we need to move from our beds to the cab seats each day. We have a versatile set of nesting stainless steel pots and fry pan with only 1 handle. What is a milk pan? The more frustrating thing is re-repairing things we’ve already repaired at least once already. I always laugh when people recommend buying RVs used because all the bugs will already bs worked out. HA! Will be heading West on Route 66 toward CA again this week. Safe travels
That made me laugh because that shuffle of stuff to the front seats is a daily event whether full time or not. Really hoping the new van will eliminate some of it but we'll see. I think the milk pot gets its name because of the tall sides. Milk boils over very quickly and so the taller the sides, the more time you have to stop it from spilling out. Just my guess, but I find it to be the perfect size for 2 people: making oatmeal, pasta, boiling water, etc. And the handle doesn't stick out and get in the way.
When you get to the Canadian Soo check out the Sea Plane museum. It's right on the fun part of the waterfront. I thought my wife would last a half an hour and we ended up staying until they closed. There are some really interesting things to see and all within walking distance. There is a park around the lock we used to get our boat down the river there too. Safe travels. Dave from Superior, WI
Happy Travels! My friend is on the way to Lake Crowley today in the Travato, they are doing a fishing trip. I will go north this Summer as well and meeting up with a Coachmen group in Oregon. I love that Tooletries for the bathroom, going to order one. John is right that is good oil/lube. Good to know about the couch bed foam install, got to have a good bed to sleep on. Thanks for showing all the updates. Safe journey and enjoy the ride.🚐😊
Thanks for the information and always fun to see/try out new van gadgets. My simple build is done for now, off to the west Monday. Trip to western NY this past weekend was my last east coast trip for the summer/fall.
I also love that milk pot that you recommended before! I give them as gifts! Thanks for the tip. And I never thought about putting extra foam in the sofa-brilliant
Another ambitious trip planned for you guys! It looks like our summer travel routes intersect in Appleton/ Oshkosh, Wisconsin, though Sault Saint Marie, Canada! We'll be at a family function in Appleton, Wisconsin on July 21 and at Pictured rocks national lake shore Michigan on July 24 and Sault Saint Marie Canada on July 25. Heading south into lower Michigan on our way to Maine from there. Would love to meet up if schedule permits?😊
I love the idea of a container in the microwave....def borrowing that idea! I have a similar pots/pans set....love those types of handles. Y'all are awesome! I'm so excited to see the new van. George's work is so wonderful. Thanks for continuing to share new storage ideas. I'm always trying to condense and reimagine better storage. Have a great weekend and safe travels!😊 Much love from SC, Jane❤🙏
Thanks for your video and your ideas. You are right, once in a while one has to empty the van and do an overall indoor cleaning. I will do this in about three days after my second 3-week-Tour-de-France. Besides: Within the last 30-40 years of camperlife, I have tried to change all round plates, cups, glasses etc. and replace them by rectangular/square ones. They fit better, and I am surprised how much the market offers in the meantime. Next: My van is 6m40cm long and has separate beds on slatted wooden frames in its rear part. I will also have new foam put in the mattresses by a near-by upholstery. He will also replace the foam of the seating part in the van's "living room". After 11 years of use I think these are good investments. Btw, I do not intend to change my van: The less electronics it has built in, the fewer problems it may cause! Greetings from the remaining rainy days in France.
Debbie - was the map that you showed with your travel plans just some saved points on a Google map? I wonder if you have used any particular websites/apps for detailed mapping and to find interesting hikes/bike rides, museums, and other sites along your route? I am trying Wanderlog for planning a trip from Utah to the maritimes of Canada and NE coast of the US.
I use a bunch of different resources but often start with Google’s “My maps” feature. If you aren’t familiar with it, just enter “Google my maps” in your browser. It’s a great planning tool. Our travel is very much last minute planning but with a few specific things we want to do. Then we just fill in as we go using things like Atlas Obscura or All Trails. I just recently signed up for “On X” maps and coincidentally passed their headquarters in Missoula last week. I’ve only just started playing with it but impressed so far. I sometimes use GAIA GPS. My favorite paper maps are from Benchmark and they focus on recreation.
What did I see at the 3:05 point in your video ? It matches your countertop, and appears to be sink cover or a fold down shelf now being utilized inside the cabinet as a shelf. Just saying, sometimes the things we think are lost are right before our eyes. Love the videos, THANKS for sharing.
Nice video, but I don’t believe the sales pitched for the roboteos tracking systems, and the prices from $2700-$5500, and I don’t think that even includes the solar panels. I have a trio of 180 W panels on my Econoline in a flat orientation and I always got enough to keep my big solar generator charged, I’ve seen it putting out over 500 watts. Tracking device is not going to give 2 to 2 1/2 times the output.
I believe the tilting unit was under $300. I could easily see doubling the input in the winter. Our panels are almost useless when the sun is low in the sky. But the tracking unit is way overkill.
You must be reading my mind. We’ve booked one night at the Adventure Van Expo September 14. I’ll share more details with everyone later but I figured some people may want to go to the show and also see the new van. There are lots of campgrounds in the area.
Another Great Video.. I have to ask about your 1Up bike rack. I’m in the market for 1 for my MTB & E-bike. Any issues w/ it and have you invested in Starlink Roam? I’m getting ready for my summer trip and Baja winter trip. Thanks for the info/help. Dave
We love the 1up rack and haven’t had any issues. We have had lots of racks over the years and this one is by far the best. We have no plans to go with StarLink. We don’t feel we have to be connected every minute of every day. Besides, where would we store it? 😅
Is the missing side table piece you are looking for being used as a shelf in your cupboard shown at 3:19 in your video? It looks like it might be the same material? Or that might be the sink cover….? Thank you for your helpful and fun videos.
We swapped our Engel chest fridge for a Isotherm Cruise 65 (built-in style) although a smaller unit than yours. After installing the fridge in our new galley, noticed that when our inside van temps reached into the mid 90's in Valley of Fire in late April, the fridge struggled to even maintain anywhere near 40 degree's inside. I have been working with their tech support and think we are doing better after adding a 2nd fan to push air towards the rear mounted compressor. We have plenty of space around the fridge too. I tried the inside fan to move the air around but it didn't help much. How do you handle fridge temps when you are traveling and the inside van reaches temps into the 90's? Thank you!
That's a great question because we have experienced some extreme conditions over the years and had a similar problem. What I do is buy ice and put it in a bowl inside the fridge. We also may have better circulation around our compressor because of the two outside vents directly behind it. We also always park so that the fridge side of the van is not in direct sun. Please let me know if the company has any additional information.
@@FromShetoMe Great, we will try the ice when we are expecting warm temps inside the van. I think having the outside vents is probably what is needed to bring cooler outside air inside or push the warmer air out. I believe the Isotherm support mentions this. Thank you again for taking the time to reply. We are always so excited to see new videos you post.
hello. i was just wondering what you are doing with your beloved van. if you have not promised it to your son or sold it already, i would love to discuss the purchase of your second home. i don't know how to send a private message to you i will leave it to you to continue this message. and if you have already sold it, happy days to them.

Wow, that was awhile ago. Thanks for checking in.
Have you thought of going to Manitoulin Island in Ontario? So much to see and do there! And they welcome ebikes!
I've not heard of it but will look into it. Thanks.
Those cooking pots EXACTLY what i need!
Reupholstering seats is a good idea for the driver, and passenger too!

It does seem to collect dirt though. But this has been a very wet and dirty trip.

We used to yoga mats on our floors and they fit perfectly. Add padded runners in the winter for extra warmth. (Travato 21K)
Yoga mats are a great option, if they clear the bathroom door.

Let me know if you want the GPS solar tracking system. I will contact the company. I was actually going to fit more than 400W up on your roof.
I don’t think we need it. As my mom would say, it’s too much sugar for a dime. But I was impressed by it. I think 400 watts is plenty for our needs.
Great video.

No, it's not late at all. I will take a screenshot of it. Thanks.

No. That's just a cutting board.
