Another great Triumph . I looked at it for a while , the blue / black fade in / out and wondered why it seemed familiar . Then it dawned on me , school ink ! Way back when the Earth was young and dinosaurs roamed the land , we had " ink " pens in school . You had an ink pot in the corner of your desk and you dipped your pen into it . The school ink was mixed from a powder by one of the boys , which was a good excuse to get filthy and spread it everywhere . But the ink colour would fade from black to blue just like the Triumph tank . Especially so if it wasn't mixed properly and some naughty boy had mixed blue and black powder . I can't think who that might have been .😊
I’ve just gone from an RE Interceptor 650 to a T100 2021 and I can’t believe just how much better it is. The handling is amazing (first time I have scraped the pegs, lol). People compare them but really, it’s a whole step up.
Hi Taymi, After a 40 year break from biking i have for the past 2 years i have been riding a versys 650 but now it is time for a change and i fancy a modern classic style bike so i arranged a test ride on a Speed Twin 900 and what can i say, i was blown away with the looks, comfort, low down grunt, comfort and how agile it felt. It has ample power for my style/type of riding and i was smiling all the time i was out on it, in fact when i returned the bike i went back a few days later and bought one which i will pick up in a couple of weeks{red/chrome} colourway, just watched your stealth bonneville video and you mentioned the lack of and cost of a centre stand, i specced my new bike with a centre stand and it was a £260 option but i reckon it will be well worth it in the years to come, I am looking forward to many happy times and miles of riding my new bike, keep up with the great content.
I love it👍👍! That graduated paint colour reminds me of the sky near the top of Everest. The sky appears darker because of the thinner air and lack of refraction (not that I have ever been there.... 😁).
Nothing beats the Bonnie😂 I found my dreambike, she learned me everything and there’s no chance she will leave me🖤🏍️🖤 Can’t wait to discover the world with my Bonnie! The final test in June, fingers crossed for a positive result! 💪🍀
Afternoon Mr TAYM. I really do like these, but at £9500, it is way out of my range. Even used T100’s are beyond me 🤦♂️ I do like that Blue / Black, very cool.
I didn’t really want to elaborate but as you asked. The main problems were caused by the wiring loom being too tight where it passed over the headstock. The excessive strain caused the internal wires to keep breaking and this resulted in many intermittent electrical problems and many days spent off the road. Also, the magnet which was part of the “side stand down” safety system, fell off and left me stranded at the roadside. A few other bits also fell, namely, the reflector on the front fork and the e-clip which secures the side stand pivot bolt. The gear selector shaft also started to display the well documented symptoms of difficulty in changing down through the gears. This was the final straw so I traded it in for a much cheaper Japanese bike and I now ride a bike where I know everything electrical will work and nothing will drop off.
@TAYM I guess I was just unlucky. I really like the speed 900 but I also felt badly let down by the local Triumph dealer. The service provided by the Yamaha dealer has been faultless so far. BTW, I always look forward to viewing your vlogs, they’re always interesting and unlike any others on the ‘tube; in a good way of course. Best wishes.
@@user-rf9me7xm1w thanks G 😁 yes, my T120 leaked oil within a couple of days of collecting it and my tiger 900 was dead within 24 hours😡 both brand new😂😂 without a good dealer I would never have touched another triumph but Suffolk triumph bent over backwards and had both sorted within a day 😁 makes all the difference 😁
Because it shares the same frame with the T120 it is roomier than the Speed 900. You can also fit the same accessories. I added dresser bars, cruise control, centre stand and bar end mirrors (much better vision), and power plug which allows me to run heated clothing off a separate fuse. Black paint on the engine, radiator and wheels is very practical. Stock exhausts sound great. I think Triumph need to update the cruise control as 30 is the current minumum and the 20 speed limits are spreading like a virus through the countryside. The torque and the wider 5 speed gears than the T120 mean you can hold 30mph in 4th gear. My 14th motorcycle and one of the finest.
What a great spot for a walk around, lovely proper Triumph and its blue, great view, boats and the great sound of jingling rigging. Thanks TAYM happy Easter.
I think for me; the T100 is the blueprint for what I like about bikes and you will see it in both my recent and distant history. I've had an air cooled original T100, a Bonneville SE, Moto Guzzi V7 and now the BSA (with other bikes in between) But I always come back to this kind of bike. I do like the Stealth colours and have done a popular Short Vid on them, my fave is the green on the Speed Twin 900. Pity Triumph are asking extra for them.
I'm with you TAYM, I wasn't keen when I first saw the stealth editions but it has definitely grown on me although I'm still not a fan of black wheels. I genuinely think the Bonneville is the best all round bike money can buy and there really is nothing else that does so much so well. I would have to say that, for my money, the T120 is the winner because torque is addictive and I love that grunt you get with the 1200.

Morning TAYM a nice looking trumpet but and here’s the rub it’s not a Moto Guzzi v7 850 and you know I love a Guzzi 😉 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Love the bonnie engine I had the speedmaster couple years ago quality triumph as usual I’m happy with my rock but would love to get a speedmaster again and a bobber three triumphs in the garage would be fantastic great video ride safe oh no giraffes today must be having a lay in 😁
Glad I found this video again! I am riding the RE Super Meteor and love the build quality, performance, looks are stunning etc. But sadly I don't seem to fit it properly to do miles. I need maybe at my age some weight on the bars but not too much and although I am ok with forward controls the SM... I just don't get comfortable. Even with the seat being great! But the rider triangle is not right for me. 😔 But sitting on the T100 today and particularly in this colour, I love so much seems just perfect for me! Everything seems perfect as can be. I think I found my dream bike! Time to test ride. But I think I already know because when you know, you know. Right?
Nice bike 👍 I’ve always liked the T100. I’m glad they keep the analog gauges, but would have like the center stand. The color is black, but then you see the blues. Would buy one right now!
I do love the colours on these stealth models, they're so much more appealing without being too " in your face". I still think my Thunderbird Sport was the best Bonneville ever made apart from soft brakes. I see they're promoting the new Rocket 3's and have stolen Black Beauty's blacked out look, I believe they've also hopped the power a bit ( not that it needed it). They've also fitted new style wheels which I'm not so keen on, nor the new styled tank paint job and detail.

Hi TAYM, Just watched a little 5 minute video from a channel called vintage-motorcycles, rd350’s rd250’s for sale in Holland. Looks around the warehouse and it’s full of mint looking bikes from 70’s and 80’s out front there are a line of 6 blue and white rd’s for sale or just sold along with a 500. Inside bikes of one genre such as a line of four hundred fours. Stuck this here thought as last video more chance you’d see it.
Had a t140 750 and there was never a clunk from the gearbox when going into first, same on my Guzzi California can’t see why we put up with it, also the main stand should be included as standard after all it’s a nine grand motor bike, great colour though I’ve got a Mercedes slk in a very similar blue so it’s very tempting.
Great video TAYM and great bike but then I would say that wouldn't I? You mentioned the T120 is a bit fussy which indeed it is - I have test driven three 1200s - T120, Speed Twin and the Bobber can agree on that 100%. Brief funny story - a 1200 rider looked at my "little" 900 and said his bike gave him the extra oomph when he needed it - absolute nonsense. AND the final drive in top gear on both bikes is exactly the same.....same revs at 70 on both bike so on the 1200 you are wasting more time going up and down the box! Rant over!
Cracking bike TAYM I do like these I think I would prefer it all in like midnight blue but that's being picky got to try one of these and the T120 this year as later the choice must be made T100 T120 or Harley not yet sure but it's gonna be fun finding out 😉. Personally I would have these new Bonnies over the old classic one all day long ,very interesting what you say about the 1200 engine and how it maybe to strong maybe the speed twin is the better one to try note taken , tubed tyres or tubeless with spokes ? nice one 👌👍
@@TAYM good morning taym yes Kawasaki where I bought the bike from I’m letting them do the work. The Thruxton is a dream bike and I love every mile I do on it 😁 but if I could only have one bike I think it would be the T100 😁 so thinking about it🤔 both your head and your heart are right 😁
I'm looking to change my tiger 800 for a T100 or T120 so the wife can ride pillion with me as the tiger is too high, does the T100 have enough go for 2 up and are the brakes upto it compared with the T120? Solo riding longer distances touring T100 or T120?
I'm looking at T100 or Speedtwin 900 & T100 looks better than Speedtwin & flatter seat so better for 2up but only has a twin pot Brembo on the front & a 14.5L tank.Speedtwin has 12L tank but has 4pot Brembo front brakes, alloy wheels & has low seat 765mm as T100 has 790mm seat height & spokes but back rims.I love this Stealth Blue fade to black paint but is $1000nz more than stock T100 & $1500 more than stock Speedtwin 900 & $1000 more than the Stealth Edition Speedtwin Candy 🍬Green fading to black & is fantastic.
Thanks Alan 😁 I find the T100 just fine two up but the T120 has a lot more torque and stronger breaks but again the T100 stops no bother two up with me and Mrs TAYM 😁

Thanks Alan 😁 I find the T100 just fine two up but the T120 has a lot more torque and stronger breaks but again the T100 stops no bother two up with me and Mrs TAYM 😁
i'ts worth buying for the paint ,, but mrs taym might divorce me ;;;
