Go for it dad they grow up to fast. Make chile cheese burritos you will both laugh all night tent camping. My daughter still talks about it and she is now 38 with two of her own. Happy memories.😮

I guess it's because I'm from the south, but I love lemon on fish. My favorite is grilled catfish with lemon juice and Montreal steak seasoning. It sounds crazy I know. But you should try it
I grew up in Florida and spent every day as a little boy in the woods catching, collecting and shooting pellets to eat what was edible. Clearing islands with a little johnboat and a dream. More poison ivy than the dream but I miss it so much ❤

i hate florida, based on heat and humidity alone (i had heat stroke years ago, it literally hospitalizes me). but i would kill to be camping in a spot like that. it's so cool, the wildlife is so different from the coyotes and mountain lions and deer and foxes in my area of the high plains. my bro in law lives down that way, a bit north of there, but still in the area. maybe i could do that in the early spring or late fall...
Do it in North Florida/Panhandle (there's actually elevation change in Panhandle) more deciduous variety.. even fall colors... Peaks 🎵 n late Nov - mid Dec. Oct - April... Best time. Colder in north FL and Panhandle in winter... Even drops down to mid -,upper teens most Winters in Panhandle

Little tip from a Floridian, it's not very advisable to sit at the edge of any water you can't clearly see into, especially to wash and rinse a fish you're cleaning. A Gator can be 3 feet in front of you and move with such stealth you don't know what got you. And they're patient too.
as a FL girl I say YES!!!!! to the 30 day challenge and an old school tree camp build!! YES PLEASE!!! I know some sweet spots for camping too!!! Love FL camping!!

Like to see you in the Florida scrub. I live in central Florida and every trip into the woods is different. I don’t fear the woods at night, but the dang mosquitos make it miserable. So cool that you were able to film a great horned owl that closely. They can be territorial towards other birds but not humans. Can’t wait for the next installments.

Born and raised in the Ocala/National Forest area. Winter and early spring are a huge difference from summer down here. THAT would be a true survival story.

Near 30 years ago my old man took me to that same Reptile World, before we went to our Holopaw hunting camp. We stopped other times too. But that first trip was something I'll never forget! I remember the owner had the scars to prove it. I pray to take my own kids there someday.

That little road trip with his kid made me wish I had a father like that.. my father was rarely home and the only trips I went on was down to south Carolina for my sister's graduation from the USMC boot camp
