Great job to both girls! Duke seems to want to live life as a dressage diva lol Great job Kate pushing through. Maybe Brandan could pop on him sometime to give him a refresher or shown just how assertively she needs to ride him to the jumps. He's such a great horse. I always have a fear about forgetting my dressage tests and my jumping courses so I feel that Julia lol thankfully the jumps are numbered at a show so that helps
LOL… I know, I’m sorry. I had computer issues and unfortunately had to delete the videos and start editing all over again. I am working on it this very second. There is one other video that will hopefully upload tonight and then the show video should be up tomorrow (unless by some miracle I get both up tonight)! 😊🤞🏻
hey guys! great video!! i feel like boots always break before shows lol. Kate did so good on duke!! they are definitely going to go far together! They are going to do great in the show! Every time I look at sparky he makes me laugh bc his head looks so big hahaha. Julia did so good on sparky! They make a great team!! Keep it up guys. Hopw the show went well.
Lol… plot twist 🤣. That is still a great accomplishment! I think it is amazing that you guys compete at all, and everyone who does should be proud, regardless of how they place. I know not everyone would agree with me, but I don’t think it is about the ribbons… it is about the experience, the sportsmanship, the learning and gaining of experience, the confidence building, supporting each other, being a part of a team. Obviously, getting a ribbon is an awesome bonus, but not placing isn’t something to be upset about. It was still a valuable experience, and we learn by watching what others riders do who do place. I am just proud that the girls had the guts to try and put themselves out there… and so proud of how they handled themselves. I’m working on the video right now.
@@BarnBootsandCountryRoots oh absolutely! I was shocked when I got blue but winning wasnt really on my mind, I mainly went for the experience of showing! My instructor said that the show was the best I had ever ridden (at the time). I remember Bunny (the horse I was riding) spooked at something in the forest during the warm up, I managed to stay on and I was so proud of myself. That show experience definitely helped my confidence in riding! The girls ride really well! Better then me at the moment, as I am still learning to sit the canter properly! I cant canter often since Bunny use to get anxious if we canter to long on her (she is the only lesson horse my instructor has at the moment). She is doing much better now though! I hope the girls did well and had fun! Cant wait to watch the next video! :)

Julia just remember to go out there and have fun, I remember my first horse show it was a costume class lead line lol, but I had fun I still had to sit up straight toes up heals down, I believe I was 4 at the time riding my pony Cookie Crunch 🍪 😊 but I'm old now. Jack doesn’t like jumping. He has spent most of his life as a Western and trail horse. At some point he was also trained English, but his heart is not in jumping.
About her memory? I asked her your question and if she wanted to answer it or not. She wanted to let you know she doesn’t mean it in a bad way (she is just very literal in her thinking and communicating). So when she says her “memory sucks”, she just means her memory doesn’t work the same as it does for other people, and it is hard for her to remember things.
