Hey dude, Most roads have an oily line in the middle from the engines so you either ride left to it or right and right feels too close to the bank where often there is sand, pebbles etc.
@@m.n.8957 if your old bike was a 4i you might be engaging the gears the other way. You really only need two ignitions with extra gas to unload the gears, after that it'll change and the revs will sort of float while it settles. Also these bikes are carbed so if you're used to early 00's FI gas response your timing might be even more off.
Im planning to buy 2nd hand sv 650s 2006 this will probably my first bigbike any tips guys cause I want to change the speedometer to look brand new cause its faded
@@Prettykittymingming don't worry about the speedo looking old. If you have time to look at it the bike has more to give. When they are truly done they'll slowly crumble off the brackets, and a new one will fit "automatically".
That's some nice riding! Feels pretty smooth going by the video. I notice you sometimes scrape the pegs a bit: i have the same bike (1999 650S, in yellow!) and ive noticed that for me i get more corner speed by hanging off a bit more and keeping the bike a bit more upright. They can hit the ground if the surface is a bit uneven but it's not like my other bikes where i have to bring replace the feeler sticks every once in a while. Does it feel the same for you, or are you simply keeping a bit of lean in reserve in case you need to adjust your line?

I've got the same bike but changed the exhaust to. Similar to yours but for me it does not pop which i declarate. Did you do any other mods? Or could it be because of the restrictions you have
I didnt change anything else on my bike and it cant be from the restrictions because its a throttle cable restrictor, so id guess youre carbs are just differently tuned or its because youve got a different exhaust
Wenn du das Affengeturne noch bleiben lässt und eine besser Linie wählst biste mit der SV noch schneller und vorallem, bei dem Tempo, sicherer unterwegs. Man ist nicht schnell wenn die Raste oder das Knie am boden schleift ..... aber das lernste auch noch. Meine SVS mit 85PS und SR Racing EGBE macht ähnlich geilen Sound. Bleib sitzen.

Shouldn't that bike have preload adjusters on the front shocks? I thought it was only the naked one that came without preload adjuster. I have a gen1 and both sets of front shocks have preload adjusters.

@@Mekanikern there are some aftermarket ones from YSS they should be fine, i also heard about people putting in the gsxr600 shocks in there with little modifications
@@mariuslk8968 I’m looking at a ZX10 upgrade, I think some year models are a drop-in upgrade. Mine is bouncy without leaking 😁 Had the front shocks rebuilt with thicker oil but it feels like it’s getting softer so I may look at a GSXR swap there too. The SV is really nice for the money 🙂
Well ive been riding for 3 Years now, i went to an empty parking lot, took me about an hour of testing out the bikes limits until i finally got the elbow down. Still havent managed to drag it on regular streets, the suspension is pretty wonky so it takes a lot of confidence bc youre really pushing its limits compared to modern Sportbikes with better Supsension/ergonomics for hanging off!

Ist eine Standard SP Connect Handyhalterung, da war zum Glück ein Adapter für GoPro Halterungen dabei da hatte ich dann einfach eine auf die Gabelbrücke geklebt 😅 Gegen Vibrationen hab ich da aber nichts, muss wohl hoffen dass es mir nicht die Handykamera beschädigt
Cooles video :) Kurze frage. Wie viele km hat deine sv runter und ist es noch die erste kupplung oder vielleicht sogar eine verstärkte kupplung? So knackig wie deine maschine hoch und runterschaltet geht bei mir überhaupt nicht. Meine hat mittlerweile 53t km runter. Ich denke ich muss mal kupplungsinnereien tauschen 😅
sie hat 51.000km und noch die erste originale Kupplung 😅Meine schaltet auch öfters etwas hakelig, deswegen schalte ich einfach ohne Kupplung, was sie sogar besser verträgt als mit 🙂

Man, nice video, but get yourself on a trackday instead. This risk of getting injured is not worth it. Then you realise that SV needs more than just an exhaust. Greetings from Czech Republic.
When you time it correctly, you can upshift without clutch without damaging the gears. Basically you just have to let off the gas and push the gear lever up at the exact same time. In that moment you let off the gas, it will unload the gearbox because of the changing load on the chain for a few miliseconds in which you can upshit flawlessly. An electronic quickshifter does the same by cutting the ignition (which is the same like letting of the gas, because the engine cant burn fuel without spark). I personally like putting a little pressure on the gear leaver right before shifting, so when i let off the gas the next gear will just slip in. Dont know if it works on downshifts too, but i cant think of it being good for the transmission. There are some good Videos out there that explain clutchless shifting really well if you want to learn it 👍
Downshifting without clutch engine brakes your rear too much, you don't want this instability in corners. Clutch keeps stability. With upshift this effect is not that big of an issue.

Das ist das Problem, es ist leider geil .. ich gebe aber mein bestes das Risiko zu minimieren (gute Streckenkenntnisse, gute Linienwahl, Strecke auf Dreck absuchen etc..)

It's how they teach you over here: Stay on the outside of your lane until you can see the corner exit, only then smoothly turn in.

I envy your down-shift skill. I recently got a yellow gen 1 and I find it much harder to rev-match than my old mc.

Why do you only use the clutch to downshift, but not upshift? and also will changing gears without clutch damage the gearing?

die sv650s ist auf jeden fall ein gutes Starterbike mit guter Beschleunigung, auf die Rennstrecke kann man mit ihr auch ohne Probleme

to meet A2 regulations in Germany, im only allowed to ride Bikes up to 48hp until im 20 years old
