i dont care what anyone has to say even if the oilers lose in the finals im beyond proud of this team for grinding and coming back from the depths of the standings to now the cup final tying the longest win streak in history with the top 4 players in the playoffs being all on the oilers if they were to clinch the cup it would be the most perfect ending to such a great story and there would 100% be a doc made on it florida is gonna be a real challenge for the oil but you cant even count them out cause they were never supposed to be in the playoffs this year and here they are and i cant see them going down without a fight
“Western Conference champions”another banner going up in the rafters, already have that title going into every game next year… and they are not done yet this year . Highly successful season no matter what happens, 30 teams would envy being in the Stanley Cup Final
I felt Skinner played his best game in game 5. He made numerous tough saves. This game Dallas has the play in Edmonton's end but very few good scoring chances, not like game 5. My opinion only.
Officials RUINED the entire Game....Stars are as we all know the most disciplined Team in the NHL its a big part of their game and its what made the Series so special...the Reffs screwed that dynamic up with 2 clearly bad calls to give the Oilers the Hammer...I did not enjoy the game after it was 2-0 nobody did, Officials screwed that up badly.... actually the Reffs have catered to the Oilers gently helping them along in all 3 Series with strategic calls....feels like Bettmans going to slip Edmonton 1 Cup before expansion then shut Canada out for another decade or 2.

Just because the Stars are a very disciplined team, it doesn't mean they aren't going to draw any calls. They still had less penalties against them than the Oilers had, and both teams were incredibly disciplined in this series. In the end, it didn't matter because the Stars couldn't capitalize on any of their chances, and couldn't contain the Oilers on their rare chances on the power play. I, along with the rest of the Oilers fans enjoyed that game thoroughly, even though it was dominated by the Stars for the most part. Might be time for you to get outside, maybe touch some grass.
