Been a Mondays fan since 1986, when I first saw them live. Paul Ryder and Gaz Whelan was one of the best rhythm sections I've ever experienced. Assisted by the FOH engineers Si and Ed (RIP). They made the band sound absolutely enormous when they hit the late 80's. No wonder Paul was given the nickname Big Arm. Sad to think I'll never get to see or hear his bass playing again. He was always rock solid and could get pretty funky.
I've been obsessing over this song for a couple of months now, and I coincidentally began playing the bass recently too! So cool to come across this video
This is why ive always learned by ear. Tabs are always wrong. This works for the song. But its not what Pauls playing. Peep the isolated: th-cam.com/video/PI-XqbebsnI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Dz6fdoDXOaIciswC Sounds more like: G A# B C F F#.
