1) According to Terminator lore, Skynet created a batch of identical CSM-101 (Arnold) Terminators. 2) When the Terminator pulls the shotgun out of the box of roses it's a reference to the band Guns N' Roses who did a song for the soundtrack.
The chase sequence with the tow truck takes place in the Los Angeles river. You may be confused by the complete and total absence of water, but that is what it is called. It is basically a drainage system so that when the torrential rains come in the spring, all of the water leaves the city and doesn't flood it. The rest of the year people treat it like the city dump (landfill).
Yeah, the LA River system is used for flood control from rain runoff coming from the mountains. Most of the time it's empty or low intentionally since Southern California is dry, but when it rains hard, the runoff has to go somewhere so it gets diverted to the LA River to wash into the ocean.
At 19:45 she notices the running speed. Apparently, Robert Patrick trained for this role so hard that he out ran the dirt bike so easily the Director had to tell him to "take it down a notch. Remember, he's got to get out of the parking lot and blah blah..." :)

@@ptthatswhatshesaid I was in my twenties when this came out, and it made me so mad that the idiots who made the trailers for movies and TV ruined the fricking surprise! In the trailers it was made obviously clear that Arnold was the good guy this time, so we didn't have the whole worry about Arnold finding John first. Sucked! Glad that even if Lucy guessed it, it was still kind of a surprise. And funny that she was so busy speculating about what was going on that she missed when the Terminator explained why he was helping. 😀
The Terminator and the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (one of the best sequels in cinematic history, and even better than the original, in my opinion) certainly hold up very well in this day and age. In fact, they are even more relevant nowadays with the emergence and rapid development of artificial intelligence; Sky Net and the dawn of malicious machines are right around the corner!
Great reaction to possibly the best sci-fi sequel ever! Some notes... The man taking pictures while looked stunned in the mall is the same character (and actor) who was the police officer that Arnold took the police car from in his pursuit of Kyle and Sarah in the first movie. That's why he looks stunned: he knows who this guy is and he knows the damage and killing he was responsible for the last time he saw him. He's also the source of the current day photos the officers show Sarah in Pescadero. It's not mentioned or referred to in any editions, but it is an Easter Egg that a friend of mine showed me. Robert Patrick trained so hard for this role as the T-1000. Training to fire a gun without the reflexive blink. Learning to run full speed only breathing through his nose, and he was fast enough a sprinter that he actually caught the dirt bike in the mall parking garage. He was so amazingly intimidating in this movie, as much as or even more so than Arnold, and that's saying something! When the orderly licks Sarah in the hospital, that was apparently one of the so-called catatonia tests done by unethical or sadistic orderlies according to an old friend of mine who had worked in a few psych hospitals, mainly in California, back in the late 70s and early 80s. It wasn't unusual for patients to try to get an advantage by pretending to be catatonic, hoping that the staff would think that they were out of it and not pay much attention so they could try to escape, create havoc, or whatever. Licking someone's face was a mild way of testing, according to my friend. The more standard way of testing among the more brutal orderlies was what was called a cup check, basically hitting the person in the crotch as hard as they could with a broomstick or something like that (the tonfa, shown in the movie, or a billyclub, wasn't standard when he was working in the field, so the evil jerks had to use other items like broomsticks, fists, or knees). If they didn't react then they were catatonic. And, sometimes, the catatonic patients needed to be taken to the hospital due to the damage inflicted by whatever the orderly did causing ruptures or internal damage. Apparently one patient lost his testicles as it was several days before it was realized how badly he had been hurt. And, of course, no one ever knew how it happened. “He musta fallen, or done it to himself to try to get out of here.” My friend never missed that job. He told me that some people did things worse than that, but those stories don't need repeating. There are two sets of twins in this movie. One set are the brothers who played the security guard at Pescadero and the T-1000 imitating him. The other set are Linda Hamilton and her twin sister Lesley who played the other Sarah in the sequences like the nightmare where there are two of her are in the same scene. Lesley, a nurse in real life, passed away several years ago. The T-101 learning to smile was cut from the theater edition, along with the 'brain surgery' preceding it, cos it doesn't add anything of value to the story, but it does lead to a point that amused me once I saw it. After the failure copying the young man's smile unsuccessfully, the Terminator begins copying John's mannerisms and his one sided half smirk smile. This is best seen in the exchange after he hefts the minigun in Sarah's arms bunker. More notes in part two. 😛

In relation to the guy who abuses Sarah, I think it's a question of power; he feels that he is nobody, and he interprets such situations as occasions to feel more powerful than a young woman.
Sara would have escaped either way. She was well on her way to the elevator with plenty of time when the terminator got off the elevator and saw him and she got scared and started running the other way.

Sometimes I got slightly bothered by some of your criticism over great classics but that's on MY end. After an hour I am very grateful that you are honest. So many people in this platform just say that everything is amazing. What most of us end up learning to do, is to look for the things that are good and talk about them first, then saying why it didn't make a great impact on us. I think you try to do this some times but since you are not natives, it's hard. It requires subtle language. I have the same problem.
God, I couldn't agree more! Its more difficult to get out point across in a different language 😅 I love the way you put it in terms of not showcasing the negatives let's say. She reeeally liked this movie, but you will see in the afterthoughts of the second part that she makes the mistake of starting off with a negative (running time) so I'm pretty sure she Will be crucified!! 🤦🏻♂️ I could hid those things in the editing, but I dont think it makes sense, the channel exists to show the opinion and point of view of someone who isn't a big sci-fi or fantasy fan. Actually it wasn't, though I see some partial resemblance. Cameron has never made a physical cameo in any of his films. Only voice cameos in T1 and T2 and others. I once thought he had made a personal cameo in T1 as the bearded man standing next to the broken phone in the bar where Sarah checks the phone book for her name. But the man was simply an Extra. There's nothing in IMDB or elsewhere that suggests that Cameron physically appeared in the Bar or in T2. Only his voice appeared (in the T-1000 screaming death scene).
Other scenes that are only in the Directors cut include; Sarah hallucinating Kyle in her cell, and the scene where Jon tries to teach the T800 to smile.
This was an awesome reaction but I felt like just a little bit to much talking and trying to figure stuff out before it happens. Just my opinion guys! Keep it up!

What is wrong with the Director's Cut? I haven't seen this version, but some of the extra scenes seem to just explain more of what is going on and how for example, Sarah is being abused by the guards and how she has trouble trusting the Terminator, what with wanting to smash the CPU chip etc.
@@SimoExMachina2 It becomes a bit almost too long, but I think you are right, it just explains more of what is going on. I don't think it has scenes that ruin the movie.
I don't think the first terminator is a horror movie. A horror movie is like Friday The 13th, A Nightmare on Elm street, Halloween, poltergeiced, exorcist, Hell raiser, and many others.
Have to disagree with you there (not on the exemples you gave of course, those ARE horror films), while you could argue that Terminator is an action movie, a sci-fi movie or even a thriller, I do think it also has the structure of a horror movie and a lot of genuinely scary scenes. But ultimately I think it is a bit subjective
Correct, the first Terminator film is not a horror movie. Its a love story between Kyle Reese and 19yo Sarah Conner. ("I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you!", And, "In the few hours that we had together, we loved a lifetimes worth").
Well, yes and no. I know of the concept of viewing time as a forth space dimension, but all you need to travel is a further dimension, and some concepts of the universe are about 10 or even eleven dimensions, so basically travelling through the fifths dimension would be time travel (sort of)
Actually there are countless things scientists have accepted as hard fact because they have no other explanation but only work if time is a real thing. more specifically a endless cycle which would mean that every moment in history has already happened at infinite number of times The end of the universe marks the beginning of the universe and every event in history repeats itself EXACTLY THE SAME, the good and the bad.
@@ThePharaz yes, however many many years later after watching Alien 3 a second time the film grew much on me. 35:00 Daniel, I'm SO happy you said that!🤣🤣🤣 And Lucy had NO REACTION to you saying that, which proves your point! 😆😂😁😅
Exactly!! 😂😂😂 Maybe she is not aware yet that she is a robot
Quote: "You talked, and he explained, so you didn't hear." Can't be arsed watching this channel.
I HAD to put it in! 😂 Its the kind of thing that Im sure is so common (and I honestly love to see it in other channels as well, when they put it in)
Its like, the info is right there! You just need to listen 🤦🏻♂️
@@ptthatswhatshesaid Don't worry. It happens all too often Lol 😂
20:50 you like bikes, may I recommed these:
- Harley Davidson & Marlboro Man (1991)
- Beyond the Law (1993)
....two great, very underrated, movies worth to check out, here in TH-cam or where ever 😎👍
Thanks a lot! 👌🏻
and Akira (1988)
The 3rd film is very good also. While not as good as the 2nd one, it has a LOT of entertainment value.
its shit
Gun N Roses Use Your Illusion I and II (1991) are still some of the best music CDs I own today.
that's why they had the gun in the box of roses
The thing that I like best about #2 is that they gave Arnold a decent haircut.
John's stepmother is the hottie marine from Aliens, Vasquez.
Yes, she looks so different in here!
In relation to the guy who abuses Sarah, I think it's a question of power; he feels that he is nobody, and he interprets such situations as occasions to feel more powerful than a young woman.
🤣🤣🤣 that would be a great excuse yeah, it was a "test"
Yop, its always those petty powerless people who will abuse power if they get a bit of it over someone else
Yes, definitely, T2 is a classic.👌🏿😎🌴🌙
Another underrated, really good film is Terminator Salvation.👌🏿
Have to agree with you, I liked that one 👌
Just to throw a little more fear into you about technology, they are actually working on that liquid metal now. It is still very crude though.
Sara would have escaped either way. She was well on her way to the elevator with plenty of time when the terminator got off the elevator and saw him and she got scared and started running the other way.
Well, she would have had to also deal with the gate security (that the Terminator took out). But yeah, she would probably had been able to do it.
20:37 this a flood control channel where rain runoff goes then eventually ends up in ocean. We have these in California and other states. Some people dump their trash in them. 🙄 They get cleaned up (sometimes)😉
Grease (1978) was filmed there too 😂
@@39Hundred Grease was filmed on the LA River near 6th St bridge ... This was a flood control channel 😊
So the wrecked cars being there is just the city not doing their job xD
@@ptthatswhatshesaid not saying that there are not junked cars(likely stolen) but that car that the semi truck hit was likely put there for the movie 😉
Jaws (1975) and Alligator (1980) and Tremors (1990) first time reaction please because all three of them are my all time favorite creature feature movies ever created as well:).
Those would all be first time reactions from her side! 😋 Aligator would be a first for me 🤔 I dont think I've ever heard of it
The crazy thing about the actor who played the biker guy, whose clothes Ahnold steals, was in his 30's when they made this movie. With that long beard and those wrinkles he looks like a 60 year old man. Marlboro cigarettes, a true fountain of youth.
What?! Jesus, I would say like in his 50s maybe 😅
One of the best sequels ever
Agreed! 👌
Her liking or disliking something needs to be organic.
Thanks a lot for the feedback btw ☺️ hope you'll enjoy the second part!
@@ptthatswhatshesaidYou are welcome and thanks to you! Even when people say hurting things, try not to take them personally. People act like people, their emotions are programmed to jump under specific circumstances.
Focus on the good criticism. I was also angry some times but I always come back, it's because you are honest and funny. Keep it that way and you'll surf over the negativity.
@@Alfonso88279 oh believe me, I also got angry a few times with her criticisms on certain movies 😂😂 but then I have also been pleasantly surprised at how much she liked some movies
The guy who threw the pool cue down and you said “smart”, was James Cameron
Oh, I didn't knew that and didn't recognized him!
August 29 1997 was the day i started my EE in uni... fealt pretty freaking real at that point ;)
all terminator movies are judged against this one,.. but so far none have been better.
Such a solid action movie!
If he canot really drive, it because the truck direction is dead from the fall
Oh, yeah, that does make a lot of sense!
35:05 Happy Fathers Day!
Great Reaction, looking forward to part 2
Thank you! ☺️
Coming up very soon!
I've seen this movie 10 times and never saw the part where they took the chip out
This is directors cut.
It seems that scene is not in the theatrical cut, just in the director's cut
Other scenes that are only in the Directors cut include;
Sarah hallucinating Kyle in her cell, and
the scene where Jon tries to teach the T800 to smile.
Sympathy to the gentleman, I'm off to the bar. 🥃
They lost the horror element and the terminator is less brutal from the beginning, I don't like those characteristics
100% Agreed
Even Arnold himself was pissed he wasn't killing anyone in this "terminator" film.
The reaction was simply incomparable and amazing👏👏👏👏👏. I'm looking forward to the reaction to the sequel.
We had a lot of fun recording this one, and the first Terminator as well 👌🏻👌🏻
how slow is this woman. Bloody hell
best part 21:45😄
she was going on into a script that was never made! 😂😂
This was an awesome reaction but I felt like just a little bit to much talking and trying to figure stuff out before it happens. Just my opinion guys! Keep it up!
As always 😂 She just can't help to try to guess stuff up
Hope you'll enjoy the second part! ☺️
your lauh is leloos laugh from 5th el ahahahahahah
Oh God, I need to show her that movie!!
Good thing they only made these two Terminators (no but there oth) .....NO THERE ARE ONLY TWO!!!
Well, the others are alternative timelines let's say 😂
MY FAVORITE PART IS WHEN THE GUY TOLD THAT BLABBER MOUTH WHO WON'T STOP TALKING TO BASICALLY STFU, MY GOODNESS THIS WOMAN IS UNBEARABLE, THIS ISN'T A REACTION BUT CONFERENCE.
I'm the boss
This is champagne
Merry Christmas
No-no! How could somebod saw 2nd first??? Even we have in soviet times could see Terminator from VHS and then T2 came to the Cinemas as Soviet Union had collapsed.
How could they make a second machine? #MindBlown
😂😂😂 its just impossible
14:24 Isn't the bank supposed to block the card that was lost or stolen? 🤔
I don't think he was using a specific card the machine allowed him to access random accounts
Plus, its 1991, not 2024.
Wrong version. That is all that I'am going to say. And watch.
@@SimoExMachina2 its not the directors cut
I don't think the first terminator is a horror movie. A horror movie is like Friday The 13th, A Nightmare on Elm street, Halloween, poltergeiced, exorcist,
Hell raiser, and many others.
@@ptthatswhatshesaid I clicked on like cause you gave an interesting statement. Something to think about I will.
Correct, the first Terminator film is not a horror movie. Its a love story between Kyle Reese and 19yo Sarah Conner. ("I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you!", And, "In the few hours that we had together, we loved a lifetimes worth").
🤖💛
Lol, there’s a cute girl by herself in the thumbnail pic, but when the videos starts she’s sitting there with her dad, yikes 😬
Time doesn't exist, it's just a scalar, a number, a counting mechanism. You can't travel through something that doesn't exist.😅
Well, yes and no. I know of the concept of viewing time as a forth space dimension, but all you need to travel is a further dimension, and some concepts of the universe are about 10 or even eleven dimensions, so basically travelling through the fifths dimension would be time travel (sort of)
Actually there are countless things scientists have accepted as hard fact because they have no other explanation but only work if time is a real thing. more specifically a endless cycle which would mean that every moment in history has already happened at infinite number of times
The end of the universe marks the beginning of the universe and every event in history repeats itself EXACTLY THE SAME, the good and the bad.
Remember, there are only two Terminator films!
Any claims to the contrary are just poor excuses for money grabs. As far as I'm concerned the same for Alien and Aliens. Predator 1, II, and Prey.
@@ThePharaz yes, however many many years later after watching Alien 3 a second time the film grew much on me. The CGI has some problems which can be explained with the rough production history of that movie, but I actually don't see it as a money grab. It would have been a money grab if the Aliens went to earth. On the other hand I only really like the first Predator film.
Remember, all the films are entertaining. Watch them and decide for yourselves if they were good or not.
@@kevinkleinsasser9387 this is true to a certain degree, however I still struggle to delete AVP 2 out of my brain and it hinders my enjoyment of rewatching the good Alien and Predator movies. Matrix 3 also kinda ruined Matrix 1 for me. So I will still try to protect people from watching really bad sequels. I have nothing against bad films per se, but destroying established and successful IPs is especially en vogue at the moment and I am not here to support this kind of filmmaking.
@st0ox I get it. Didn't like AVP 2 as much as the first one either. Hopefully, the 3rd one will make up for it. The Matrix 3 and 4 weren't as good as the first two but entertaining.
6:24/Beautiful baby girl, you say that you believe that anything is possible...then let's get married!! Because that's possible!! ❤ 🎉 😊
Obviously she googled both Terminator movies so cut the crap. ))
???
no don't skip the rest of the terminator movies because you will enjoy all six terminator movies.
That is a rare fringe opinion
I disagree. I would stop here.
I think I will leave the choice of proceding or not in our "Next sequel" poll. Só, basically, I leave it up to you!
this is not terminator 2!! this is one of those dumb versions with added scenes that completely RUIN the movie. you just wasted your time..
This is the Director's Cut, people told me it was the best choice 😅
@@ptthatswhatshesaid I hope it's not the version with an alternative ending! it ruins the movie for good! 😄
@@boqndimitrov8693 as far as I remember its the same ending as I have always seen: you just see a road while Sarah narrates how uncertain the future is but that we should out for hope. I didn't even knew there was a version with a different ending!
@@ptthatswhatshesaid if you want to laugh, you must watch the alternate ending! apparently it was filmed with the last 5 dollars of the budget! 😄

Way to go talking over dialogue. Important dialogue at that.
I couldn't let that slide, It was too important dialogue!
