Hi There. love your channel. I have a question that i struggle to find the definitive answer to. When calculating the amperage per phase on a 3 phase appliance, what equation can i use when i have watts and voltage? I.e. 3 phase, 11kw machine on a 415v supply, how many amps per phase? I thank you in advance for your time.

I have a 80kva Generator with line to line voltage at 420 i.e the maximum amp is 110Amp.
Challenge is each phase line on the Generator screen reads
L1- 61A
L2- 37A
L3- 29A
Can I say my generator is overloaded since total of the amperage is 127A or each phase must show 127A each to say it's at the maximum.

Generator winding is connected star connection, It means each phase amps and total amps are same. 80 kva generator can run on 125 amps per phase maximum.

Sir as we know that current remain same in series but In parallel its value is not same. Now suppose wiring is series star then we can say that current value for line current is same as phase current. Now if we have parallel star configuration then in such a case what will be situation I mean line and phase current will be same or not

Motor is Single or 3 Phase ? for 3 phase If you are using DOL starter then you need 12 kVA generator, if you have star delta starter then 10 KVA generator is enough.

1.44 is a short cut for finding amps if generator is 3 phase /400 volt
Current ko dono trha se calulate kiya jasakta he. KVA or Kw. magar kilowatt se amps ko maloom krne ke liye PF ki value pata honi chahye aur KVA se amps k liye PF involve nhi hota
KVA se hasil honay wala current Apararent hota he aur kW se hasil honay wala current Actual hota he.
