Ever since I was a small kid I wanted to see raised bamboo houses of Meghalaya, therefore when I reached Shillong I couldn't help myself but to look for such vilages, and I found one, Sadolpara Village of Garo Tribe of Meghalaya, which was 350+ km from Shillong.
How I get there in heavy rains? How I manage to communicate with the Tribe? How I did what I did? Find out in this video.

I hv worked in Tura Don Bosco college so I got the opportunity to interact with Garo people and to look closely into their tradition and culture.Yes they don't want to speak in hindi...most of them can speak in Eng...Very hardworking tribe .You should have tried their authentic cuisines..they are all foodies

Nice to see your video at Garo Hills , but in Tura most people take rest on sunday they get up late , early morning like 6 a.m you definitely see only tourist car like Tura to guwahati or tura to shillong , if you ask Garo people about Saldolpara at bazar they will understand you ...actually Dadeng area station were not in tura bazar thats why sumo counter people don't understand that 😄 but i'm happy that you got nice dada driver. ....happy travel Ronak sir ji. Do visit next time . ,🤗
