@@RED-hb1di I wouldn't say it's unique at all. It's basically a copy of the Universal Century timeline Gundam shows. It's really a great homage and has amazing Mecha designs that stand out, but aside from that it's hardly original.
@@boianko it may be similar in terms of basic plot but really that's only in the first one, Z.O.E 2 is where its really unique though. I think its safe to say 80% of Zoe is unique.
ZOE is by far the only mecha anime/video game franchise that's stuck with me so profoundly. There's just something about the sheer badassery of the mecha designs and the early Kojima game music that makes it all the more beautiful.

This is one of the very few moments I felt genuine fear and excitement from a game that wasn’t horror. Those first few seconds. This scene/boss is up there for me. Other times I felt similar fear is Hearing Sephiroth’s Theme in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. Not many other moments like that for me. But they do exist. :)
Absolutely, I think if more people played the game that ending would go down in history as a classic. Was a bold move to end the game with an unbeatable boss and the sad plot twist for ADA. Stuck with me for a long time, and this music would stay with me for days at a time

I don't remember its name, but there's a kinetic weapon you can strike with that does huge damage to Anubis during this scene. You can chip up off to 1/6th of its health before the scene kicks in automatically. You can't win but if the fight wasn't auto'd, you'd be perfectly capable of beating Anubis with enough practice.
@@littlebadassgaming Upon further investigation, I believe that it's possible to push him further.. but his difficulty bumps or something, so, you gotta be fast as to not wiped out by a surprise burst attack. True. xD
What bothers me though is that some people who play this game misunderstood the part when Leo says "I was so close!"
This Orbital Frame has been compromised due to your actions!
Best mecha in history, bar none.
I think I agree, zone of the Enders is just so unique and not only the mech designs themselves but the music, story and just the lore in general

Kojima made a good Gundam story. Its so good its legacy is seen in Gundam from Gundam 00 to Gundam AGE.
I see why my men couldn't beat you but here i am
At least you'r good at running away

Kojima is far greater than Nolan in terms of depth and plots IMO, but... Hollywood.
I know, for the time the idea of a boss fight that you aren't meant to win never crossed my mind. So cool.
One of my favorite boss themes ever. Love the vocals, and this part 0:55 specially

I found this out and used it on him as a kid. Then realised that you still can't beat him.
The first time I encountered Anubis my jaw hit the floor. I was like to hell with Jehuty, Anubis is a bad ass! I wanted to play as him so badly lol
I could not hit Anubis during this fight and he always struck me when I dashed to dodge his attacks. But it was awesome. Then there was ZoE 2...
@Goddess Shadow I know. But at least in ZoE 2, I got my revenge in that epic final battle.

I actually got a hit on Anubis in the beginning of ZOE 2. No joke. Multiple, too. It wasn't much, but I did pull it off.
