    Hey guys, just a quick note. Any cutting these places do for you comes free with purchase of the materials! So chances are you won’t have to buy any expensive saws or metal cutting tools. Hope this helps and Good luck on your projects!

    Loving these vids just subbed. Man I wish we had a metal store like that here in South Carolina

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! That is definitely appreciated!! Yeah metal stores are great bc other places get you otherwise, I first checked Home Depot’s prices, the sheets are a lot smaller but still wanted to cross reference the price and the mark up was insane so I just goggled “sheet metal supply” near me and was lucky to find this place. But for the savings I would have driven maybe an hour for it lol. Another alternative is Some guys use FRP, I think that’s a little more readily available and cheaper. For a 4x8ft sheet at Home Depot is $43 and its one of the most durable materials around. Its used in major commercial kitchens because it’s resilient to water. That guy from Suds n Go put it in his set up.

      No problem! 😉 I feel like the whole process is confusing but youtube helps so much. And that’s awesome! Your going to have a good amount of space to work with and it starts with the floor. That sounds like a fun setup though man, the best of luck with it!

    I want to do this to my truck. But idk if I have enough clearance for the wood also. I wonder if just the metal is okay.

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, I see you dilemma. They make different thickness diamond plate. You can eliminate the plywood and use diamond only as long as you go with an unbendable thickness. At the metal supply shop Ive seen sizes anywhere from 1/8 -5/8 thick

  • @irvinwood5985
    @irvinwood5985 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you end yo securing the ply wood to the van floor ? Did you drill new holes through the van ?
    Want to do it on mine but not sure exactly how to go about securing the plywood

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well there’s not much mystery to it, that was my main question too. But really its wherever you see fit as long as you don’t damage any electrical wiring or hoses when drilling the holes. To be honest we put them all over, in the front, the middle, the rear.

  • @Luisrrr508
    @Luisrrr508 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you drill the Diamond Plate Floor onto the plywood i couldn't see , real cool tho i need to buy a place like that in my town that sells big sheets like that

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah these places are awesome!
      Later I did, but here we got the size just right and later its up to you if you want to drill holes through the van or not. I recommend you drill holes throughout and insert some solid nuts and bolts, ever since we’ve done that we’ve had zero problems with the floor.

      @@Wazzletv thank you for the tips 🙏 I want to to setup a detailing setup on a truck bed with a camper to cover it , I tint vehicles but want to get into ppf and ceramic coatings now , and I see it’s necessary to have a detail setup to prep the car right before applying ppf or ceramic coatings

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Luisrrr508 Oh wow that’s interesting. Thats going to be a cool setup. Yeah it seems like it will make your job a whole lot easier. But yeah once you get all of your equipment situated on the plywood and diamond plating, after you see how everything is sitting then that is when you take the precautions to securing the floor to the bed. See where everything fits and then see what room is left over to add in the bolts to secure the floor so it doesn’t slide around.

    How did you bolt the flooring into the van?

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We bolted it once the water tank was in place, we used the metal straps and long bolts, you can see it in my video “H20 custom builds my setup” but really the bolts can be placed anywhere and drilled straight through to the bottom of the van just examine where your drilling and dont drill through wires or hose lines

    • @jerryguillaume6435
      @jerryguillaume6435 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Wazzletv this is what I’m afraid off. I don’t want to cut anything while drilling. Is your water tank tied the same way or is it tied on the flooring you made?

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jerryguillaume6435 its bolted clear through the bottom of the floor. I was afraid of the same thing. But we drilled almost 10 holes. Almost every body does it there’s no other way. Once you lay underneath the van and get a clear view of where you’re drilling you’ll be more confident. Its easy you’ll see there’s plenty of clear areas to drill to secure the flooring, frame and tank

    What did you use to get the diamond plate on the doors?

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The guys at H2O did it, I just had them pre-cut

    • @Wazzletv
      @Wazzletv  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They use a lot of metal working tools. Maybe like four or five different things just to fit in contour and cut it to the shape of the door it’s actually difficult. There’s a lot of riveting, drilling bending, and cutting.

    • @JuanPerez-dt6iv
      @JuanPerez-dt6iv 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So just making holes and drilling some screws to get a hold of it? Getting some anchors on them for the screws work?

      They used a tool like this to cut the plate to shape. Also they did some drilling with self tapping screws, but they later installed rivets and I asked why and they said it was because the screws come loose overtime so ultimately a rivet is the most effective way to secure it especially if you’re going to have bottle holders hanging from the doors
