Iam a new subscriber and I absolutely love your videos. My favorite part of watching your videos, is that you are human and you know that so if you make a mistake you don't cut it out, you claim it and figure out how to fix it exactly like the rest of us have to do on any job or project we are on. A lot of the other videos show flawless perfect jobs which make newbies think they can handle some of the projects because they make it look like it is so simple and that there are no hidden problems, which is not true, because there are issues on every job no matter who you are. I admire the confidence you have to claim your faults and that you don't try to make us think you are the master carpenter of all time that doesn't make mistakes. Your a rockstar!!!
I watch so many of your videos. I build cabinets for a living but I'm about to build a house and your videos have been so informative. Thank you so much for showing us this information. I have learned so much from you.

I am Very VERRY clueless as to how to redo or even where to start re-doing a house that was my grandmothers that was built in the 60s. I have to do new sub flooring I think and pull an old bulky vanity out and put in a pedestal sink. Also have to remove a built in butane wall heater that hasn’t been used in 30 years or more. You have been so helpful. This is the first video I have seen but I know I will be watching many MORE to help get me thru my remodels of each room I do in the house
This is HILARIOUS!! Ok, I’m not knocking you too hard but shout out to the plumbers 💪. I’m not sure where to start lol, you did so much with so much confidence and horrible craftsmanship. Easy cut floors, I love it too (still cut it 4” too short on floor.. but when you cut your flooring, use a fine blade on jigsaw (not all purpose) to reduce rips, or blue tape to stop the rips. When you hear that “noise” it does not mean it’s in.. it means you’re breaking your connection. When you install floating floor just make sure you push in pretty hard at a 45 degree angle, when space is tight from left to right, continue pressure inward and down.. it should sound like nothing and you should FEEL it click. (I’m a professional commercial, million dollar residential) I do full remodels to Eletrical (Only ever do anything as big as sub panel additions, but full Eletrical runs) Drywall, trim, hvac, gas, plumbing.. Sauna Shower, Body dryers, jacuzzis.. which btw, you absolutely killed yourself.. when you install.. sure install with quality, but also install for the next guy. This just happened to be you, and you effed yourself by not putting an access panel in. For only $40 you could’ve made an access door in the floor, where are your shutoffs too? I’m 1/16 of the way through your video and I had to start commenting because it was so bad.. the whole toilet repair was a nightmare, you called PVC.. cpvc 😂.. You cut the fiberglass tub like 7 times.. you did all the laser measurements with a level tub you could’ve used to square your wall.. no dope on your crappy Amazon diverter, granted it may not leak, not good nuff.. Your cutters arnt old, they need new blades. You just don’t renew them. The copper clamps you use are horrible, use stainless crimp over those, DONT USE BRASS as a pex fitting, tons of claims under all plumbing suppliers for high zinc brass. If you decide to go with crap wirsbo or pex.. keep plastic with plastic. Also silicone really does work as water proofing, aka when you thought there was going to be mold, there wasn’t. NO SHUTOFFS again, smh. So “ma’am I’ll need to shut down your whole house to replace your diverter stem”.. 😴 “I’m more of a get things done kind of fellow” bro you just took 2 minutes to screw 10 screws. I can’t believe my eyes as I watch more. If you ever need to learn how to do things correct, I’ll teach you.
I hope your son is listening to you. My dad was a know it all too ! He will need to know all this stuff for his own house when he is older. I was able to replace my old toilet. I guess I did listen while my father was making me hold the wrench 🔧 😅😢
I have a challenge for you Jeff. My wife runs a barber shop out of our house (fully licensed and ordinance compliant so no worries in that regard.) She is looking to expand the shop to accommodate another station but also have a powder room. The challenge is that we would both like it to be ADA compliant. Would you consider a video about disability compliance? Her aunt has ALS, so this means a lot more to us now.
This videos make me feel so confident in doing this kind of things myself, it’s actually scary because you make everything look doable and I’m afraid of messing up 😂
really enjoy these thorough, lengthy videos! thank you so much for sharing your professional insight, Jeff! it's v educational and entertaining to watch someone else do the work while I sit back, relax and watch the transformation happen. haha hopefully soon tho it's my turn.
Love your instructional videos!! You make everything look so easy, of sorts. When I learn how to cut tile and buy a tool, I am going to do my bathroom floor.
I'm not allowed to renovate my place, also not really into these kinds of DIY but I watched this whole thing and really have to give you props! You're making plumbing and repairings more "approachable", I appreciate it. you are a great at what you do, yet not afraid to show us that you can make mistakes as well. Oh, and all that pearls of wisdom throughout had me smiling when I just need to shut off for the day: "hook the wire around the screw, stop being lazy" "guess in the comments where did this go wrong" "you don't need to be a masters electrician to do this, it takes just as much as having engineering degree to drive a car" "that's a lot of bulb! I just needed 60W didn't know I had to get something the size of my car!" "now that wil cost me 1500 bucks in hospital bills.. Just joking, I don't have to pay, I just didn't want to rub it in" LMAOOO
On new bathrooms, I like to tile around the toilet drain completely, install a new Oatey metal toilet mounting plate, drill the plate into the concrete and install toilet on top easy. Prevents it from rocking.
Couldn't find the subfloor product mentioned from home depot. This video explained a lot about this house purchased a few years ago built-in 1900. I now know why the floor has a dip under the toilet. Why the kitchen ceiling was ripped out. And all the other stuff mentioned here helps me understand how to improve the issues that must have occurred from the toilet which this house didn't have upstairs back in 1900. It was in the basement. Shared this with my buddy who helped install the new toilet last year. Super appreciate this entire video. It's gonna help me with fixing the floor dip not screwing up anything when installing some updates. I didn't use wax. I had used the flexible flange. It's not so messy, but now I understand the whole process better, too Thank you
"and if you're not getting inspected, but thats between you and god" lmao! lol the glue sniffing. Love this channel because of the natural comedy. Wouldn't have that on "TV".
Jeff to make the hook on your wire use the hole on the side of you strippers. If you wire a GFIC backwards it won't work just change the wires wires to the correct place.
1:54:14 If you don't care about brands, the Irwin ones go on sale for like 6.50, i bought one using it way more than i thought each time i fix drywall.
I loved watching this whole thing-so informative! I missed the one part I needed most though, which was when you moved the single light box over and made two on each side of the mirror. I tried watching the other video but the boxes were already done and you went straight to the mirrors. Do you have a video that shows the light boxes being moved and divided! Turned out awesome!
3:32:00 except when the mounting tabs are grounding tabs to ground the metal outlet box Edit* And that is a grounding outlet, has the little odd colored tab on the bottom screw which marks it as one that has grounding screw tabs Edit* Lock out, tag out Lock the breaker box, mark it as locked for work
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed... Holding the (wired) ground ears of the outlet with one hand while (saying it's "safe") and handling the live leg - had he touched that bare wire accidentally, this would've been his last video!
Bro... I started watching your videos because I was trying to learn how to do some things... but now my wife uses them to fall asleep at night, I find her watching them whenever I'm not home and there's always adult toys laying out everywhere 🤷♂️
10:34 Pros like Jeff make everything look easy. I just got my pride handed to me flooring a bathroom. - The click joint won't hold like a tongue and groove. If the floor isn't flat, the joint won’t keep boards from popping up when you walk. - Inspect your boards. The joints won’t click if the corners are dinged or, you over hammer the boards together. - Wide boards, like 8”, can be a pain to cut a factory edge without a sliding miter or table saw. Usually cut edges can get hidden under the baseboard. However, you may need to be strategic when you get to matching the clicking edges on off cuts to the last of the factory boards from the box. - Be prepared to spend time making scribe cuts especially if you’re running parallel to a curving tub or the wall just isn’t square. If the first row isn’t right, it’ll skew the entire thing like a bad roof. - Is it better to run boards left-to-right or should they be front-to-back? Not sure, I went with front-to-back.
When I install a toilet with the normal two bolts. I put white out on the ends of the bolts so it is easier to line up when placing the toilet. You can see the white out though the two toilet holes much easier than the brass color of the bolt.
If you want a good connection on your outlet I would splice both wires and make a pig tail on it then use the screws. One wire has less chance of failing than two
The expression is really 'Jack of all trades master of none!@' Not one! Gret video. Never seen black pipe like that. All white here in Bermuda. Oh and all our walls are solid block. No drywall in any house!

really enjoy these thorough, lengthy videos! thank you so much for sharing your professional insight, Jeff! it's v educational and entertaining to watch someone else do the work while I sit back, relax and watch the transformation happen. haha hopefully soon tho it's my turn.
Love your instructional videos!! You make everything look so easy, of sorts. When I learn how to cut tile and buy a tool, I am going to do my bathroom floor.
Hi Jo, we have a video for that here: th-cam.com/video/aOxBqHNeOQ8/w-d-xo.html
Love the full length, gives me a better idea of scope of time, skill an what tools overall.
Great to hear! Cheers laurel!
You guys had too much fun making this video
I'm not allowed to renovate my place, also not really into these kinds of DIY but I watched this whole thing and really have to give you props!
You're making plumbing and repairings more "approachable", I appreciate it. you are a great at what you do, yet not afraid to show us that you can make mistakes as well.
Oh, and all that pearls of wisdom throughout had me smiling when I just need to shut off for the day: "hook the wire around the screw, stop being lazy"
"guess in the comments where did this go wrong"
"you don't need to be a masters electrician to do this, it takes just as much as having engineering degree to drive a car"
"that's a lot of bulb! I just needed 60W didn't know I had to get something the size of my car!"
"now that wil cost me 1500 bucks in hospital bills.. Just joking, I don't have to pay, I just didn't want to rub it in" LMAOOO
He is great, isn’t he?

My fav channel right now 🙏🏽
On new bathrooms, I like to tile around the toilet drain completely, install a new Oatey metal toilet mounting plate, drill the plate into the concrete and install toilet on top easy. Prevents it from rocking.
No popcorn for me but I'll kick back and enjoy a New Belgium Trippel beer watching this excellent video.
Quality content for free, thank you!
Glad you enjoy it! Cheers!
You have me ready to remodel my entire home
I use better than wax for the toilet, no issues and easy to reseal as well. Thanks for the tutorial Jeff, always appreciated!
Great tip!
It's not so messy, but now I understand the whole process better, too
Thank you
Cheers Patience!
You've done allright mate..
You've done all right..
Love the Canadian action....
Cheers!
i woke up to this and now im putting it on before going to bed
"and if you're not getting inspected, but thats between you and god" lmao!
lol the glue sniffing. Love this channel because of the natural comedy. Wouldn't have that on "TV".
Jeff to make the hook on your wire use the hole on the side of you strippers. If you wire a GFIC backwards it won't work just change the wires wires to the correct place.
You are a Canadian national treasure!
Cheers mark, I like to think all Canadians are .
Right on jeff! in the middle of bathroom remodel contracter hell. might jst do it myself.
Great video. Thanks Jeff.
Glad you enjoyed it Larry. Cheers!
Fluidmaster makes an awesome wax free ring. It also comes with a riser if needed.
Cheers to that!
Oh damn you had me so excited now I am just thank you I can't wait to start tomorrow
3:32:00 except when the mounting tabs are grounding tabs to ground the metal outlet box
Edit*
And that is a grounding outlet, has the little odd colored tab on the bottom screw which marks it as one that has grounding screw tabs
Edit*
Lock out, tag out
Lock the breaker box, mark it as locked for work
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed... Holding the (wired) ground ears of the outlet with one hand while (saying it's "safe") and handling the live leg - had he touched that bare wire accidentally, this would've been his last video!
Excellent! Thanks, Jeff.
I love how he calls that bathroom nasty and here I am looking at mine with my orange tiles and off white walls going well then it's time.
Adding tape where you're cutting prevents chips and jagged bits :)
Imaging having this guy do all your home renovation work the finish would be amazing
thanks sir, your tip always make my job easier,
I use the scraper end fo of my red bar to remove silicone from a tub. Tip is keeping the scraper end sharp is helpful
nice sal!
Well done Jeff!
Thank you Juan. Cheers!
Love the way you teach … so detailed
9:50 when hear this sound you definitely know you are braking stuff 👍 true master 🙂
Bro... I started watching your videos because I was trying to learn how to do some things... but now my wife uses them to fall asleep at night, I find her watching them whenever I'm not home and there's always adult toys laying out everywhere 🤷♂️
Great technique on how to remodel a house. Interesting to watch. Keep up the good work.
Cheers!
Another A to Z video to binge thanks Jeff! cheers from Sweden
Right on! Glad you like them. Cheers to Sweden!
Jeff's the Bob Ross of home improvements!😂
...that's a good thing!
Not sure, I went with front-to-back.
correct!
I would say incorrect. Flooring is normally left to right entering a room.
This guy is so awesome!
My videos would have to be censored 🤬.
Great tutorials, extremely well taught. Thank you 🙏🏽
