I've been to Crawley and as I'm usually getting ready to get off the train, I've never noticed the old platforms or signal box. So thank you , as you always show me something that I've never noticed before!
For the photographer, it’s nicer because it’s a lot less cluttered, especially from bridges etc. I do accept there are pros and cons to both systems, but, as a southerner, I’ll take the third rail any day!
Are they not TSR's vice ESR's, otherwise you would have an 'Emergency Indicator' (EROS Board) on the approach to the 'Warning Boards' ,or have the rules changed since i was a 'Bobby' six years ago ?
I think there is a old norman wisdom film where he is at the old Crawley railway station,i have seen it but can't remember what film,a bit of useless information
This was filmed back in December. There is work this weekend around Haywards Heath. I shot a video last night, of the Brighton mainline. I may upload that, but obviously being night there won’t be much lineside to see
This is a brilliant video, with loads of details. Many thanks for this.
This bloody trian goes past my house in whitebuahes at stupid oclock in the morning! I love it ❤
I live in Pound Hill, ten min walk from three bridges station, weird seeing this on youtube especially as i didnt search for it, good video

A nice interesting cab ride this day, even with the rain. Thank you, emmo999! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting ride with informative commentary, That way the rain didn't spoil it! Thanks.
Some things just can’t be helped - like the weather!

I hope there is something interesting in all the videos
I get so used to cab rides with overhead electrification and all the stuff that goes with it, that it's lovely to see some simple, elegant third rail.

@@emmo999 I'm completely with you. I grew up with those nice green electric trains in the 1960s.
Fascinating information for a novice like me. Really enjoyable video 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! I try to keep the information relevant without spoiling the video too much
Great video emmo, nice journey and information 😀👍👌

Nothing has changed. I probably wrote the caption in a hurry and typed the wrong thing. Apologies
Any more new videos coming out soon??
Great video. Think the caption during Earlswood station needs looking at as I did not understand what you were saying.
Sorry about that. I can’t change them now, as they are encoded with the video
I think he was trying to say "at the far end of every line" (at least in the up direction!)
Yes, that’s it. All platforms have a signal at the far end, ie towards London

Very interesting, despite the rain.
There is a redundant "after" in the caption approaching Crawley.
Glad you enjoyed the video. The extra “after” is stuck there for eternity. I can’t remove it without re-rendering the video. So it will have to stay

Is this weekend’s engineering work along that line??
