INCORRECT analysis on salary comparison. Most of my friends in Engineering line have reached 20-25lpa within first 8-10 years of workex(age around 30). Now if the salary keeps growing at a snail pace of 10% their lifetime earnings comes around 42 crores. And with an investment of 4-8 lacs. Here I am not even counting the exceptional candidates who work with startups and FANG companies, they are easily earning 60-80 lpa at age of 30. Their lifetime earnings would be way higher than the pilot. I don’t mean to discourage Pilot aspirants, but one should be clear on what they want to do Mon-Fri. PS: I am a management consultant, i used to love travelling-business class, staying in 5star hotels across the globe, but at age of 33, my preferences have changed to less travel and more family time
He compared average pilot salary to average engineer not the exceptional ones so by keeping that in mind yes average pilot earns a lot when compared to the average engineer.

Returns are still looking better for an engineer with your equation and with much lesser exposure to risk (health being the biggest and then followed by market volatilities).
The engineering salary can vary. For instance, my educational expenses for engineering were around 4 lakh at a decent private college. As a Software Engineer, my current in-hand salary is 2 lakh per month, plus additional benefits like stock options and a joining bonus. I anticipate that after four years, when I become a Senior Engineer at the age of 27, my monthly in-hand earnings will increase to between 3 to 4 lakhs, excluding stocks and bonuses. When considering the financial aspect, engineering seems like a better decision, especially because taking a loan of 1.2 crore seems quite risky to me. If I'm going to take a high risk, I might as well start a business. Engineering appears to be a risk-free option in this regard, at least it doesn't involve the fear of a 1.2 crore loan. However, I believe every profession has its own benefits and I truly respect all of them.
I've never dreamt of this profession but one of my friend gave me information about this field and i was stunned that how i was unware of such rewarding profession and now when i am pursuing it this video gave me immense self assurance and that i can go for my decision nice content keep it up ❤
When you calculated the interest on loan amount, you forgot about the simple interest that banks charge during the study period. Suppose you are taking a loan of 60 lakhs and the training period is 2 years, you are supposed to pay 10.8 lakhs as simple interest @ 9% as well as the (compound interest + principle amount) for the repayment period. So the final amount comes out to be 60+10.8+39=110 lakhs (1.1Cr) for 12 years at 9%

True that. But let me add something to it. You have considered ideal situations in all cases. But do you think life is ideal always? A pilot's job is highly uncertain.
