World’s Most Dangerous Roads - The Canadian Ice Roads: • World’s Most Dangerous...
The air wants to flee the heat, but is too weak. It hovers just above the ground, heavy and weighed down by the oven-like heat. It turns wanly around itself, and tries to cool off by liquefying itself. It vibrates, it oscillates - but there is no escape. This is West Africa in late March. The Harmattan, the hot desert wind of the Sahara, is blowing without respite. It has no pity with the people who live here. Whoever wants to go from one place to another has to travel on roads that hardly deserve this name. They are dusty paths that don’t appear on any map. They are maneuverable only with great effort and for a few months of the year. They are impassable during the rainy season, since they are washed over by the Niger River, one of the mightiest rivers in the world. When it starts to rain, the roads turn into muddy paths. Every journey is a trip into uncertainty.

Those who complain about driving in air conditioned, well maintained cars on good sealed roads should watch these documentaries. These folks in Africa lead such hard yet interesting lives.

You've done a good job with this. I spent almost three years research in Mali, have been on those loris and watched three men fly off our 'grand camion,' recognize so much... a trip down the happier stretches of a complex memory lane with some but not too awful much romanticizing.
What an incredible job done by the entire film crew. Difficult to film but the cameraman tries his best to give the viewers the best angle. Bravo

The struggle MILLIONS of people have everyday just to survive, (or even have a decent standard of living) is very telling about how little,(most)people are willing to help others without personal gain. It's sad

Watching this, I could say that despite of many chaos, domestic conflicts and more then Four decades of war, Afghanistan is far better in terms of living conditions. I would pray for that all human beings in all over the world stay happy, pleased and all their needs are fulfilled.

Every episodes are so wonderful and informative. Really fun and interesting to watch these documentaries. I am really thankful to the makers of these contents. I usually don't skip any part even though I watch them in my free time and paused at times. But whenever I am free I would continue watching till I complete the documentary. The narrator is very good, 'loud and clear', the right narration at the right place and time. Love the explanation part

I have traveled on trucks like that in Mali from 1998 to 2001. The common names for these trucks is “foreign”. It’s quite tiring physically but very worth living experience. People are most of the time very friendly. Sometimes l got stuck in some villages for 2 or 3 days waiting for the next truck. But l was given food, shower, home free but my neighbors l traveled with. Africa is really and truly the roots of humanity: humble people, very welcoming, warmly. Materials are nothing but only means.

Africa really is just like living in a post apocalyptic world. It's insane seeing how they kind of just adapt and overcome, they are never not struggling through some kind of day to day hurdle.
Get your geography right, this is one of the 53 countries in Africa.
