I love that. My brother and I play together as well, but we're both "old". :) He's shown up in a few of the videos too. I'm still a baby Tenno myself, but I encounter new players here and there. When I do, I always tell them "Don't be afraid to ask for help." "Take your time and enjoy it."
I loved this. Satire aside, I have caught myself doing a lot of the things you described. It's so exciting to get new players that it's just so difficult to resist the urge to overwhelm them with all the cool things we can do. That being said, number 1 was really wholesome, and sooo true! Warframe is the game I talk about the most, to gamers and non-gamers alike. I played an MMO for around 25 years straight, and never talked about it as much as I have talked about Warframe in my 4 years of playing it. Awesome video, catch you in the next one!
Whenever I see a new player I see an opportunity to play “suggar daddy” and gift them the basic colour packs and watch them start diving into fashion frame. I also ask them if they like shooting, melee or casting abilities and if I have the platinum (chances are I do because I’m not spending it on myself very often anymore) I’ll send them a warframe that supports their favourite playstyle
I got what we jokingly refer to in Discord as "Jali's sugar daddy" They have a very high MR and do a ton of trading. They gifted me color palettes and a few frames that they thought I'd like. I know that same person also does what you do, finds new players and becomes Santa for a few minutes. I can only strive to trade well and pay it forward soon.
As an experienced player, how could you. Now get in nerd, we're going to the kuva fortress for requiem mods so you can kill your lich and get a kuva bramma
I always get excited when new players start warframe, especially when they get invested in the story and start freaking out about parts of it. Then I can finally talk about it with them. The satire is on point!
The advice I give new players is to play patiently and experience the game at your pace. If someone is starting fresh because I recommended the game, I always point them to volt or Excalibur, since mag can be harder for newer players to use effectively, but volt and Excalibur have the highest skill floors in the game, even if their skill ceilings aren't as high, they're still reliable and powerful.
Ill be that guy to go ackshually you got it backwards! Excalibur/volt are very simple to learn so their skill floors are very low. Volts skill ceiling is actually quite high but its almost exclusively because hes good at eidolons or because he has the most number of possible uses.
Legendary 4 here and I am scratching my head at this. Usually I leave new players alone and only help when asked. Everyone has their own pace of experiencing things. Recently I got flamed by another player for using Nekros in a public mission. Idgaf
