I grew up in Hainanese kitchen in late 60s in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Today it is almost impossible to trace such old Hainanese recipes cos they took them to their grave. I hardly remember its recipe today. it was popularly called Hainanese Braise Oxtail stew Haricot. top up with bake beans and serve with bread. I wish somebody can share this very old Hainanese recipe with me for my recipe collection. This Oxtail recipe shown in tube here is not the same like Hainanese cooked in Malaysia and Singapore. Well kept secret till todate. thanks.
