I passed right by Hardee Lakes heading north on the back roads up to McNeil Campground for a couple days last month and plan on making the same trip at the end of this month; already got my permit this morning. I want to check out the camping areas in Richloam WMA and do a little kayaking on the Withlacoochee over at Lacoochee while I'm up there.

@@OverlandFlorida I was about to do the Chian of Lakes by Canoe last Saturday, but the weather turned out colder and windier than expected. We plan to go this Saturday. Have you ever camped at one of the Spoil Islands? I'm planing a trip for mid April.
