One cool weapon I specifically got BECAUSE of the Lore is Astralaria. Not only is there in-game lore of the weapon, and a quest filled with it, but it is the only Legendary whose creator you can meet in person. The axe is made by Ouissal, whom you can meet in the Astralarium on Istan.
YEEEESS, I was hoping you'd do this one! There's just something special knowing your sword is part of the lore You can also get Adam as a focus. I've been using him for a while on my main
Love your lore coverage videos! May I suggest covering the lore that shows up in the Legendary Weapon popups? There are definitely a lot of interesting ones that relate back to existing lore!
as far as I know, the flameseeker prophecies shield isn't the actual flameseeker prophecies from the lore, since they aren't one single tome they are a collection of tomes found around the world. Although I guess it could still have been included in the lore references category
I love caladbolg! the questline's so good and seeing trahearne again made me cry XD I'm aiming to make The Shining Blade as my second leggy sword, it's just so cool.
I only recently noticed that a LOT of NPCs in Guild Wars have the same shield as Jora, so slim odds we get the exact same shield. It's kind of funny that the skin is connected with her since its appearances go all the way back to the Searing in the first game.
I like it when legendary weapons and collection story weapons have lore behind them. I hoped we will get more collection quests like Knight of the Thorn. We haven't been getting that much at all except for the Mabon weapon collection ar least.
I agree, I wish they had more side quest too. Hopefully the SotO weapon collections are an indication that are going to start adding more in the future.
If we're counting more recent lore, it's possible to get Dragon's Watch's weapons (and outfits, if you really want to mimic them) from the Gemstore/Black Lion rewards. Ditto for Caithe's Dagger and its crystallized sword counterpart, as well as Eir's Longbow. At least some of these are explicitly mentioned to be replicas however, and not the real deal (I know Eir's in particular is a replica). Also the Mirror of Lyssa from season 3, again an explicit replica.
not a weapon but my favorite lore heavy armor piece is the Dragonrender helm, it belonged to Asgeir the dragonrender, the savoir of the Norn and slayer of frostfang, he is also the one who knocked a tooth out of Jormag's own mouth, being the first to prove that the elder dragons could be hurt
this isn't even an mmo but a game that absolutely nails weapons said to be legendary that are obtainable in game is fire emblem genealogy of the holy war, where the holy weapons in that game that story hypes up to be these all powerful super weapons actually are that strong like Foresti for example makes it's user functionally invincible in actual game play while being able to kill everything with absolute ease
Hi Evan! Hagion here! I'm participate u live Drops and asking u about shields and toughness... maybe u could give us a special video about those themes?! Love u content!
Love my Shining blade, and Caladbolg Origin. I also appreciate the gen 3 legendries since as (spoiler alert) champion of the Prismatic Elder Dragon, we should have weapons to match that lore.
@@elocfreidon Yeah because Rytlock has the actual sword while the other one is either broken or gone in the mists. But even as replicas the sword replicas come with history and information about the originals.
@@TheBirdsDen The other sword was given to a blacksmith by Eir to be repaired after we reclaimed it in one of the Dungeons. Lore that might never be followed up on.

as a feminist and a charr main i cant ignore Scorchrazor's Dagger. although it is not Kalla's weapon but rather a reference (which also triggers a unique dialogue if you are a revenant with Kalla chosen as a hero)
tbh, I don't feel all that powerful in GW2. I'm more along for the ride. I mean, am I as powerful as Isgarren for example? No, I'm not but yeah, it's cool to get some background on some of these. Didn't know a lot of it.
Literally the main reason I got calabolg was the lore, I wish every race kinda had a "legendary weapon"
sylvari have caladbolg, humans have the shining blade, charr have claw of the khan-ur. Seems like norn and asura are left out

8:44 Look how they massacred my boy 😭😭
you can also own the mouthpiece of Stormcaller!
in GW2 its called "Mountaincall Warhorn" and it takes 29 points in GW1's HoM to unlock

oh true, that's a good one! you can even find frostfang's bones in bjora marches
@@Evan4K also forgot to mention that asgeir is Knut whitbear's grandfather so it's cool to know someone directly related to a legend
You forgot about Rodgort, a torch named after the legendary dragon Trogdor the burninator.
The sunspear staff skin is my fave on warrior, paragon RP ftw lol
oh yeah, forgot about that one. The Sunspear was in guild wars 1 also
Praise Joko! 🙏

Menzies's Agony as well, there are also a few official god themed weapons, which seem to have lore significance like the Tear of Grenth for example.
Palawa ruled the Awakened, not the Risen. Cool vid!
I would die happy if I could have Sohothin on my Ascalonian Ranger/Warrior. God I wish they'd tie a story reason into obtaining it permanently.

seriousky.
The shining blade and the dagger are the most beautiful weapons in the game!

Anet is making a big mistake. They should make GW1 famous weapon be the legendary weapon in gw2.
