@@ClearviewOutdoors I tested crimping last year and 95% of my rigs are crimped now. I tested the crimp slippage in my garage for different crimps and found the aluminum 1mm worked best on 80lb mono. I haven't lost one rig by crimp failure yet. Oh yes, don't crimp the ends of the crimps over on your line, the salt water guys say it will pinch and cut your line.

Every one of my rigs is tied to the main line with a Uni-knot, it's by far my favorite knot, and I snell the hook with Doc Langs snell knot.
I use the Doc snell also but I’m mostly a Palomar knot guy but now I’ve been crimping and love it.
