I was an international tutor at Tampere Uni a few years ago, its always so fun to see how people see my city. I think my favorite areas for late-summer walks are Hatanpää Arboretum and The lake suolijärvi nature trail (the one which goes right by the shoreline).
What do you do to edit or film your videos? The places look better in this video than in real life. I know because I live here. I love whatever it is you used is it the camera angle? The camera itself or the effects? Please let me know, I am so curious.
hi! there is a tiny bit of colouring in the videos, but i just used an iphone 15 pro max to film, and the videos look pretty accurate to what i saw in real life. :)
another ‘studying abroad’ blog in my recommended :D I really would like to study in a city in the northern part of Sweden or in Norway (there, preferably Bergen :D) in a couple of years and get my master’s there, so getting a (fresh!) vlog about somebody who’s doing so in Northern Europe is exactly what I was needing! Hey ive always thought about coming to Helsinki to study. Could I just ask how easy it is to live without knowing finnish? and how long does it take to learn enough basics Also I heard about racist encounters by drunk people mostly outside or in the trains, is it true? thank you for the video!
hi! well i don't live in Helsinki but i go there pretty often and basically english is pretty widespread there, even in my city (which is big by finnish standards) i can usually get around with just english, but learning finnish and some basic phrases shouldn't take that long! and people will really appreciate hearing you speak in finnish, or at least trying to haha well i've had a bit of racism been a problem every now and then, usually from drunk people but i would say other people's experiences aren't too far-fetched, luckily most that happens are just some really nasty comments and that's all.
