HOW did this movie not get nominated for best picture?????? It was So beautifully made.
It was an AMAZING masterpiece. based on a real-life person. A singer.
editing check - best actor check check - and that’s it 😳 the Oscar folks must have been sleeping - how can TTB not be nominated for best picture AND for best director 😕😕😕 am so thrilled for Andrew but so very disappointed for Lin 😕
It's so sad that it wasn't nominated... but I guess the reason is because of what Andrew said here, is about a failure, and in some way a critique of the industry as a whole, I guess the academy doesn't like that... also, maybe the fact that's directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda (he's nominated for best song already) AND is a Netflix movie affected it too. I really hope Andrew wins for best actor tho ♥
I would have loved seeing Lin from t director .. and this movie switched and put it in don’t look ups place .. that movie was horrible

Everything about it, the performances (especially Andrew's, I mean, the amount of talent and dedication is just astonishing and deeply inspiring), the attention to detail, the meaning, the passion of everyone incolved. He speaks so beautifully about everything. It's pure poetry. I adore how much understanding he has for Broadway, musical theatre and Jonathan Larson. The whole film is absolutely incredible and the attention to detail is astonishing. Even without watching behind the scenes, you can feel how much love was put into this project

im literally a 15 yr old but this movie has open my eyes to more than being a boring everyday person. I want to live my life now and enjoy it, I go outside and listen to music singing at the top of my lungs, I go for walks in the sunset and im trying to write songs. Andrew brought back Jonathan and in a way he touched everyone's souls. Thank you🤍

The fact that we have been getting constant new content of Andrew for the past few months, after years of nothing is making me so happy.
The story of a failure. This is so perfect and so inspiring. This failure, as Andrew said, produced the diamond of Jonathan's masterpiece, Rent. It's a lesson about life, and resilience, and persistence, which are the keys for success. Amazing movie, it deserved an Oscar nomination and Andrew deserves to win the Academy Best Actor award.

Words cannot express just how much this film means to me, it really has changed my life. The dedication, the passion, the performances, everything about it is just beautiful. Andrew Garfield is phenomenal, and he does a wonderful job honoring Jonathan Larson. Hearing him talk about this movie gets me choked up, you can really tell just how passionate he is about it. A sequel of Tick Tick Boom would be the behind the scenes of RENT. I could imagine the plot about Jon meeting the original cast, their workshops and how they were affected about Jon’s passing before their opening preview’s show. The final scene is all of them singing La Vie Bohemme
I feel like Andrew Garfield is the living antithesis of the Dunning-Kruger effect. He's this incandescently multitalented artistic genius full of profound insight and kindness who talks about his performance anxiety and impostor syndrome in this humble, relatable way.

it’s difficult to express how much this film means to me. ive always wanted to pursue an artistic career but never actually believed in myself or got the support i needed. this has made me realise how important my art is to me and that im gonna continue doing this even if it doesn’t immediately work out. it has made me reevaluate whats most important in life to me which is passion, dreams and not settling for a life that is just _okay_ . they did a wonderful job of telling jonathan larsons story

This must be one of my favorite Andrew Garfield movies aside from Social Network, TASM duology, Hacksaw Ridge, and Silence.
This movie is a masterpiece! Everyone who’s involved in making it has really put their heart and soul into it and you can feel that when you watch it. It’s a big love letter to Jonathan Larson and his legacy. And for me personally as a young-adult I can really relate to the struggle of growing up and choosing to follow your dreams or just accept life as it is. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions with beautiful music and beautiful people. This movie has a place in my heart forever and I’m sure many people feel the same way! And big kuddos to Andrew for learning to sing in such a short amount of time (and being humble about it… like what?!).

I have tried to tell people to watch Tick, Tick... BOOM!, because it's so amazing. These interviews showing how hard everyone worked to make it show why it turned out to be so incredible.
I cannot tell you how Tick… Tick… Boom just tick all the boxes for movie musical, an autobiography movie, it doesn’t show the success of a person, it shows the failure leading up to the success, knowing how everyone is going to go through the failure one way or another. And the way Jonathan Larson really did shape and change the musicals we see now, making a new revolution if you ask me. But the last song, hits hard, ‘Louder than words’ has to be my favourite song, especially because it leaves us hanging, like how life leaves us hanging with lots of questions, and the song ending with the melody to happy birthday just makes it hit even harder, knowing another year of your life has passed, and you feel like you’ve down nothing extraordinary but in reality living is already extraordinary.
I adore this movie, it's so fascinating to see behind the scenes!

I didn't know anything about Jonathan Larson and not a fan of musical. I only watched tick tick boom because of Andrew Garfield and buoy oh buoy I love this movie. I even have the soundtrack on my playlist. Andrew and crew did something special with this show and it let another generation get to know Mr Larson's life. I am so happy I watched this film

I have never seen a movie before that hit me right in the heart WITH SUCH A POWER. as someone who just turned 30 years old last year and as someone who wants to be a script writer and cannot find any producer to hear me out... i hear you Jonathan, i hear you Andrew, I hear you... ticking clock. scary as hell.

I’m 24 now and I visited New York City 10 years ago for less than a week with the creative arts department (I studied Music) of my school. We danced with a member of the broadway cast of Chicago in one of the studios they rehearsed in then saw the show; a bunch of jetlagged 15 year old brits poking each other in the audience to stay awake and not miss any part of the show. Very surreal and I still miss being there sometimes and I’m not sure if I will ever get the chance again but I think this film captures the magic of NYC and musical theatre.

This is a movie where you can literally feel the love emanating out of the screen. it’s truly beautiful and why it’s one of my favorite movies ever !

Andrew Garfield impressed me in this beautiful movie. I wasn't a fan of him even when he played spider-man but after playing Tick Tick Boom I was convinced he is a talented actor. I wish him the best. Especially Oscar.

As soon as I watched this film I made a "Bets of Tick Tick Boom" playlist on Spotify and had it on repeat. It helped when I was visiting my dad in hospital. (he's fine by the way)
