Word. Definitely my natural struggle. I KNOW you can't earn it, but it's always been difficult to let that sink into my heart. More specifically, it challenging not to feel like I won't lose it when I fall short. It makes my instinct to avoid God and prayer rather than run to Him in repentance. Oh dear - That word 'worthy' Backing up your argument with scripture was spot on . I think in some other religions it is earned and the difference is with Christianity its through grace so there is no pressure . Its a free giftand Amen to that brother Dan
I think we all have tendency to think we have to earn our salvation. It is also easy to show up in our prayers. We often think we have to pray the right words to get God to bless us. I am thankful I was saved by grace and I walk in that same grace everyday.
This is a tough concept because we're told nothing in this world is free. Fortunately, God is not of this world and has adopted us if we believe on Jesus.
No, we don't deserve it but our Father in Heaven felt it was necessary to have Yahusha (Messiah Jesus) not to abolish the Law but to Full-Fill it by dying on the Cross & being the sacrifice for all humanity. We have to have faith & not waiver. We do have to repent & ask for forgiveness along with forgiving our others, even our enemies. Yahusha stated, I am the Truth, the way & the Life, through me & only through me shall you have salvation... (Paraphrased). There are things we must do. Like, repent of our sins, asking Yahusha to forgive us and forgive others.. and to have faith. Prayer has a huge roll with Yahusha in having a personal relationship with our Lord. He's the bridge that allows us to have that one on one conversation with our Father in Heaven also. Without Yahusha (Jesus Christ), we can't have that personal relationship with YHWY/Yahuah (GOD). The Ten Commandments is what we have to still abide in & no, we will never Full-Fill all of those either but we still have to try our best. Walking blameless or a person acting as though they're perfect, sinless and believing they've never did anything wrong - to me is shear ignorance to the truth.. The Sadducees were a perfect example of that & the reason why Yahusha told them they were Hypocrites along with the King Harold being one also. Thanks for the message Brother Dan..
