Christianity and Trauma

Christianity and Trauma In this video, I will be talking about how trauma has affected my Christian walk. As well as how has trauma affected my everyday life and the reality of that. Trauma is one of those things that not a lot of people like to talk about. it can make us feel vulnerable and sometimes uncomfortable because of vulnerability. However uncomfortable this makes us we must address it...

Love the idea of giving yourself room to be intrigued! Interest helps me focus too! I study the Bible one chapter a week for similar reasons: I can split it into chunks and read a bit a day, I can read the whole thing in one day and just research the next day, I can dig into questions... For me staying on a plan of Chapter 1 this week, Chapter 2 next week, and so on helps me stay on track to read the whole Bible, and gives me motivation because I can see my bookmark slowly making it through the Bible!

Your ignorance is overwhelming, the empty tomb is only valid if you can prove that character was buried there in the first place. This is another fallacy called Argument from Ignorance.

Great idea!! I feel as if my comprehension level still is at a 2nd grade level and I’m 50 yrs old. I even bought a teen bible one that you can color in . I’m trying everything really. I really just want to get to know and hear Jesus speak to me. I do write down lots of scriptures but they don’t stick . I’ve lately been coming across psalm 91 and Isaiah 54. My whole thing is prayer.. I am always in private in my room but when I’m on here and people pray they have these memorized prayers that always sounds so good and I’m like I wish I could pray like that . Are there any websites that have prayers for specific things . I also want a Praise to the Lord one, thanking Him for everything He has and is always doing for me. I know we are to go thru Jesus but do we also say Lord and Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit while praying to our Father? So many questions… 🙏 thank you❤Wendy

I hope this doesnt come off as me being a jerk but as someone who grew up Christian it's crazy to think that people who make this argument don't understand what they are saying. God might have solved the sin problem (by killing someone, sure sounds like a loving god) but he is the reason the problem exists in the first place. So he provides a violent solution to an issue he created.

Yes I agree with you. As believers, we have been warned that we are going to face troubles & trials…we are not greater than our master (Jesus). But we are also to take heart because He overcame this fallen world. And yes, we all are fallen & fall short, no one is perfect…not one. But I personally believe that God allows trials for our refinement & to display His greatness in conclusion of those trials, like the example of Job.

You should really read the bible. Doing so made me become an atheist. *Slavery:* Who did your psychopathic god free? Only the hebrews. You'll see why this is important if you're honest when you read below: *Leviticus 25;44-46 NLT* _However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way._ That last bit sounds "nice" until you read below: *Exodus 21;2-6 NLT* _If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever._ Oh look, a loophole. Emotional manipulation at its finest! Let's see how the bible treats women… (Who are always counted among the property in the OT, even when they're not slaves!) *Exodus 21;7-11 NLT* _When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment._ Female slaves only go free after their masters are tired of raping them daily, or they forget to feed them for a few days… Again: Hebrew only… *Deuteronomy 20;10-14* NIV *10* _When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace._ *11* _If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you._ *12* _If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city._ *13* _When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it._ *14* _As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies._ Oh look. Human plunder, and some torturer-worshipers dare to tell me the hebrews never kidnapped their slaves. I wonder what they'd call this, these so-called experts on their own holy scriptures. And let's see the new testament: *Ephesians 6;5 NLT* _Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve christ._ *1 Timothy 6;1:* NIV *1* _All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered._ Nope, nothing about abolishing slavery here. Instead, they want torturer worshiper slaves to be good little slaves so their immoral rules aren't slandered. Running away is _bad_ because that's disrespectful to their masters that paid for them… The sad fact is that antibellum slave owners used the bible to justify the practice of owning (and beating) human beings. Only by going _against_ that book have we progressed as a society. Here's what it says about how you treat your human property: *Exodus 21;20-21 NAB* _When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property._ Only the hebrew men got to go free after seven years. And that's only if the slave owner didn't manipulate them with a wife from his stock. Everybody else? They were slaves for life. Your evil god even tells his people exactly how to take slaves. And you worship this monster.
