The game is still hot garbage technically. Spawns are fucking abysmal. It makes MW2 shipment spawns look like the pinnacle of gaming. Connection is spotty at best. Cross play is possibly the worst thing to ever happen in gaming. Also they still have customization for your character locked behind a paywall. How can any true halo fan even consider this acceptable is beyond me. 343 needs to be removed from halo entirely and honestly dismantled because they can’t get it right
too little too late! happy for you guys that enjoy the game! but with baldur's gate 3 and armored core 6 coming out, i will stick with games that actually respect their customer's!!
Thinking about giving another chance? Are you kidding? Looking back at all the lies they told before and how they managed previous Halo games. It's better for them to move forward and make a new game. They just couldn't get a Halo game right. . I'm expressing this not to come across as negative or anything, but because I've simply lost faith in 343 Industries.
I came back after leaving in S1, the game for sure has done good things but if it launched the way it is now id still say it was rough. Lots to fix be it UI issues, hackers, lack of weapons and vehicles, the campaign as a whole, and the whole monetization system being the worst thing we've gotten in halo ever.. I love the gameplay and its addicting, but halo can be better, we cant sing praises yet for getting things that should have been there on launch. I hope for the best but its a long road ahead to besting the past games.
@@TheCBoysDotComWell that aspect of not having to pay for anything in itself is a major issue as well. Back to its monetization system, forcing people to buy things they dont want in a bundle to get what they do want is far from fair, especially skins that could have been done for free with basic color selections like other games let you do, games like rocket league which even lets you buy individual things for a buck or two vs infinites (minimum) $8-$10+ items/bundles which why should I when I can buy an indie game for that price?. It does have its perks over the competition like persisting BPs but overall its not good, it can be better and id love to see them throw the whole industry around for the better but it aint happening. Being f2p has hurt it more than ever before and unless that changes then halo will suffer with mire hackers which will push more people out. If they wanted to monetize things they could have sold individual cores as dlcs which includes a battlepass for armor/kits/decals/visors exclusively for the dlcs core/theme. Also make armor have 4 colorable sections on each piece but sell a texture pack so people can apply things like chrome or carbon fiber wherever they want. Heck sell map packs but make it so if one person owns the dlc it adds the chance of playing thr new maps to lobbies, the more people in lobby who own the dlcs the more likely you are to get a dlc map. Monetization like that is the superior way to go.
@@VEN0M415 for one Rocket League isn’t and FPS. They have a different market standard. For another, this way they get more money than if they sold a one time purchase. Map packs even by the method you’ve mentioned still leaves some lobbies without those maps at all, whereas this way we get every map without spending a dime. The armor cores work almost exactly as your alternative lol. The coatings are a pity but they’re hardly a deal breaker, especially since all the basic colors are free. The things you want to blame on it being f2p are just Microsoft’s fault trying to make this game an easy cash grab
@@TheCBoysDotCom Genre doesnt matter, F2P games compete with others and their stores/earning systems, the grind and earnings determines which is worth playing. Going F2P is not a guarantee to earn more income vs a full price game with DLC, many players payed nothing (maybe a dollar for campaign) while a very select few whales spend hundreds or thousands (yikes) BUT the few whales wouldnt earn as much as hundreds of thousands of players paying a one time entry fee. For MS it doesnt matter as they can still earn a profit just from selling our data alone (which is why they force always online) so they dont see a need to compete sadly. BG3 nearly had as many players as halo 3 back then, it shows people just want a good complete no Battle Pass game even if it costs full price. F2P isnt the answer, it'll only bring less quality and more restrictions. People dont see many maps in game anyways because they dont play certain game modes, my method doesnt change the experience but its a far better improvement. Id rather pay for maps that I could do without but we can all enjoy anyways more often vs armor or colors I wanted to use but will never ever be able to without coughing more money up (especially FOMO armor). The current armor core earning system is far worse than my idea, giving cores we dont want and bloating every BP with 75%+ useless items and the rest are repeated skins, 5% of the BP earnings are actually good.. its just a horrid grind as of now. My version is to EXCLUSIVELY earn for a core we want, thats not how the cores or BP work now. Until we let customization of colors be free we will never surpass the past games even from 343, its just one of thousands of straws that broke halos back. In the end the real fix is to actually be pro consumer for once, do what the old games did right (and what BG3 did now): make a complete game with a single entry fee, no nickle and dime system, earnings through achievements, freedom to express ourselves with no restrictions in customizations, and (this time) charge for map packs that benefit everyone rather than cutting players off from content. Hopefully Starfield does that but being a game from MS theres always a catch be it nickle and dime systems or DRM/always online to profit off of your data. I can only hope for the best but this aint it.
Appreciate changes for the better and all that, but no game “deserves” an audience or a second chance. I understand that it’s an exaggeration, but I dislike wording that puts the onus on the customer as some kind of obligation. No, MS and 343i should have done a better job to begin with. You only get one first impression, a simple but stark reality of the world 🤷♂️
Firefight is absolutely something I'm looking forward to-- but, other than that, maybe Grifball or Castle Wars in matchmaking! At the very least, I feel like the community might have the tools to make Grifball in Forge-- and Castle Wars is already thriving in the Customs Browser-- but bringing both modes to a rotational playlist would really be great.
The desync and physics issues are still rampant enough to severely effect the overall experience, and EVERY one of my teams is a bunch of roleplayers while the enemy team is a 4 stack. Every time. Without fail. The game has got better, but its still a broken foundation that will haunt us for the rest of the time we play this game. Its up to Unreal Engine to save this tbh. I cannot see 343 physically being able to get this game into a state where you cant FEEL the spaghetti code and duct tape breaking apart at the seams. Because currently the only shooter with jankier bugs is BF2042. If you enjoy being backsmacked by people you are Facing, then you'll love this game.
Modern game devs and publishers just don't seem to understand if they give a dev team more time to release a complete and finished product with the consumer in mind they will actually make more money and their game will be way more popular and players will be more invested.
I feel like the problem isn't so much the developers, but more so the publishers/shareholders who put arbitrary deadlines on games to get profits as quickly as possible rather than giving the devs the time they need to perfect their product. It's a frustrating thing!
@@TheDaftMau5EXACTLY, Microsoft has been a culprit of this since the bungie days, I mean halo CE had pretty much only 6 months to complete and then when halo 2 came around they gave both a hard deadline and a terrible workspace it makes me wonder if that’s why they left for destiny in the first place.

I know I'm echoing other comments, and I know I'm going to say what's been said many times before. It should've been like this from the start. As much good that became of Halo, whether through Infinite's direction or updates, it's too little too late. That launch was the last chance for me and many others, and it was great at first. A sign of hope, but after that honeymoon phase everyone realized just how much 343 dropped the ball. Fantastic gameplay, passable story, laughable amount of content. This drip-feeding certainly doesn't help. The fact that our standards have fallen so low that adding a gamemode that had been present in previous entries from the start is enough to say "Halo needs another chance", is truly one of the greatest examples of Stockholm syndrome. I will never believe in Halo for as long as the management at 343 is in charge.
would be cool if they had an armor randomizer or something silly like that lol deff most exited for firefight though, we really need some kind of pve content to grind when we get tired of pvp, exited to take cool screen shots with my friends from firefight games
What I think would be even better than a randomizer would be save slots for each core. Having 3 different armour sets you can save per armour core would be great, instead of having to take time to customize each time

Ive read tons of the books. Lore shouldn't have any effect on gameplay. What made Halo unique to other shooters is that you could do anything in a 360 degree angle with your gun up at all times. There was no sprint because you're already running. Plus the rocket/nade jumps and crouch jumps which made the gameplay way more goofy and fun @@Japhox45
Sorry to break it to you UberNick but Halo Infinite is not where it should have been on launch because the campaign still needs to be expanded upon and that is obviously never going to happen because they don't care about campaign.
Small campaign team also it was a acceptable campaign people hoping for a dlc its possible but unlikely never had a campaign dlc for halo before other than hw2
I've wanted campaign AI in multiplayer since halo 1 on the original xbox. Seeing the modded pc maps back then on youtube with blood gulch filled with flood, players surviving... So safe to say it's firefight + forge campaign ai.
Halo in general has gotten multiple second chances, and every time it falls flat. This was it's weakest launch, and 343 are still proving to be more money hungry with how predatory their monetizing practices are, with each game. Give proper customizations to Infinite, and don't put it behind a paywall to access it. Add more classic maps that are properly created instead of just forged in, and give all previously available weapons and vehicles from previous Halos. And give us some PvE content already. Them abandoning adding anything to the campaign, or not adding any PvE content since launch should've been as much of a slap to the face as when Overwatch did it. I'm done looking forward to Halo, unless they can release a game that's actually completed, that only steps forward instead of taking two steps back.
What you’re asking for is extremely unrealistic lol, sure that might be what every consumer wants but that content would take at least another year to get out if not 3 years since original maps take 8 months to develop, plus while it’s good to think from a consumer standpoint 343 is already losing more money then gaining it so it’s also important to think from a business standpoint.
@@wut-se8hz Please explain the logic of how putting something into a game that they've ALREADY CREATED IN THE PAST is 'extremely unrealistic.' They own already lots of rendered, meshed, and textured maps layouts, weapons, vehicles, armor, and mechanics from previous Halos they could convert and modify to fit Infinite's NEW Engine, that wasn't even necessary, and likely a major setback to most of their progress they had to release over a year and a half later after release. There is no valid excuse for them, to the lack of content and effort they put into a game, 6 years in development, and almost 2 years after release, unless 343's working with the barebones of a development team. If they could improve and add that level of customization and depth to that mess that was MCC, they should be able to do it here. And if they weren't ready to release the game with as much content as previous Halos, they should've delayed the release. You make a half-baked game, even if you finish cooking it afterwards, it won't stop it from getting stale.
@@CheckpointGuard the game had little over 2 years of development with a broken engine, im not even gonna bother explaining why as 343 has already discussed this before.
@@wut-se8hz The game's development started in early 2015, shortly after Halo 5's release, with pre-planning of it starting even before Halo 5's release. If you're 'not gonna bother explaining' it to me, at least bother fact checking it. Halo Infinite didn't start development the moment they released the E3 trailer, and even if it did, they would've been closer to 3 years making it. If you're gonna believe the excuses to why 343 discussed why their game didn't meet up to our standards, and forgive the 30 million dollar company for their easily preventable mistakes, then there's nothing for you to explain that'll bare merit.
Nobody talks about how they could add 100 forge maps in matchmaking in a year and you know how much extra drive space it's going to take up on your xbox SSD or PC drive? Zero.
No. No it does not. I will not forgive 343. Charging $20 for armor colors. No forge. No split screen. No coop campaign at launch. Broken customs broken theatre. Half-assed multiplayer. The campaign was good but who knows if they’re gonna just drop this story just like with halo 5. I’m good. I’m not going back. I’ll wait and see what’s next.

Halo infinite actually doesn't. I find it hilarious that all of the sudden these videos are coming out as if people are getting paid. Guess what, desync still isn't fixed.
You've been patient with 343 and kept the dream alive even when everyone was dropping the game and you're one of the reasons that I've been grinding it ever since I got my new PC. Infinite is a blast. Even though there are fundamental issues I've got with the live service model, I can't deny that the game is a lot of fun. Hope I can get good soon enough to finish the battle pass before S5 drops. EDIT: I'm hoping for some new, retro-like armor cores and pieces. A GEN 3 Mk6 core based on the Halo 3 framework would be fantastic to live my SPARTAN-II fantasies, and I'd also like to see some Orion-class armor for the Mk7 or Mirage cores.

@@Kannabi420I privately tested it too in the first flight. Ya really think he asked for Microsoft to push out an unfinished game? No, like anyone else he liked the gameplay and the pitched cosmetics, not everything we ended up with
The prices aren’t as high as season 1-2 and that great, the issue is if you really want ONE thing in a bundle then a $15 price tag ain’t worth it. If they made it so you could buy an individual piece for say 2$ I think more people would be willing to buy it than a whole bundle for just a helmet 🤷♂️
Hers where I'm going to disagree, NO game deserves a second chance as no game is entitled to your time. But if your complaint with infinite was lack of content and lack of features, and lack of stability, and you haven't played since before the start of Season 4.Then yes those three issue are still very much present but no where even close to how bad they were pre season 4 and maybe their past the point where its now worth playing infinite. But again no game is entitled to more of your time.
The "they're having the community do their jobs for them" argument that some people are making is very weak when you consider what a technical feat it is to create a tool like Forge that enables the community to make those maps in the first place. It is incredible how you can make entire maps with good visuals, tons of assets, and tons of control and still have it be performant and viable to play on even in matchmaking. Even if they only added mostly their own maps, the community would still be making kickass maps in Forge that would probably be better than theirs anyway, so why not engage with the community by highlighting their creations and leveraging it to add an otherwise impossible amount of content to the game?
But then instead of having a polarising Halo, we get no Halo at all. That's an awful trade-off, if you ask me. 343 (new management) should instead just change their company name. A message to all that they're not the ones who ruined Halo once.
Been playing with friends the last 2 weeks and it's really fun now. Squad Battle is the mode I wanted instead of the nu-BTB, the old maps are great, and the biggest core issues for me like red reticle, mouse magnetism, and netcode (mostly) are all fixed. Zoom sensitivity is still finnicky, the sniper still feels awful, and the amount of maps, modes, and weapons could be better, but it's in an acceptable state. Customization still kinda sucks though, I still want my cadet white for Mark Vb, I want my chest pieces to apply my coating instead of being the ugly grey color, and I want my Security helmet.
I still think they need to make the game feel more like Halo and less like Fortnite, with grenade and rocket explosions that have more weight to them, at the moment they look a bit like cardboard cut outs… also the vehicles just don’t feel quite right compared to previous Halo games
No one is claiming that infinite was never fun or that the gameplay isn’t good. It’s the fact that they lied to us over and over, prioritized the cash shop, and made some outlandish decisions behind the scenes. There are a ton of issues that still need to be addressed, but it looks like that (might) be on the right track. However, it still might just be too late for infinite, unless they release a MASSIVE “overhauled” update.
I'll give it a second try once they allow cross core compatibility. Otherwise, I'm not gonna bother. Ever since Reach, I've been really big on our ability to customize our spartan the WAY we want and not to be limited by stupid money grabbing practices. Which tbh, doesn't even work on a lot of people. Why would you limit purchased cosmetics to specific cores when the only ones I'd buy at that point are going to be the ones for the Mark V, which is the one I only use. I don't mind spending money on cosmetics as long as I can use it on whatever I want to. For me it feels like they're limiting the money they can get from me by doing armor cores. : |

Let's put some shine on that forge map Terminus, remake/re-imagining of the glorious Terminal map! Let's get this bad boy added to MM squad battle specifically.
I love squad battle to bits. I’ve a feeling I’d love BTB if I was as well-versed in the maps but I got Halo Infinite a month ago and hadn’t played Halo in 10 years. Squad battle is the perfect size matches for me to get my bearings. I play pretty well most of the time but given the nature of matchmaking when I’m the nail, the hammers fuh-king BURY me.
I'm tired of all the pessimism. I cannot deny 343 messed up many times, but I just wanna see more people having a grand ol' time, not being all "number company bad, bungo gud". I just wish for 343 to be in a place where they can consistently do good. For both Infinite and MCC.
Yeah, the game has made a big improvement, and as someone that hasn't played the multiplayer in a year, I might get back into it. Of course, it isn't perfect, and isn't exactly what I wanted from Halo Infinite, however it's at least a much more enjoyable experience. Once they add firefight, I will probably be hooked again.
The sad thing is that it’s not even about the studio. A studio name at the end of the day is filled with tons of people and 343 got hit hard with layoffs. Bungie as a name is loved but it’s just as bad of studio thanks to their current devs, I mean have you seen the state of the game post? Both studios need to work hard to earn player trust again, and so far I think they are taking the appropriate steps. Halo shouldn’t have launched the way it did, but I ain’t gonna let a grudge keep me from playing a game I really did love even in Beta
With Halo inform finally having fantastic weapon skins and armor skins, I how they adopt what Apex and Fortnite have where you can "shuffle" your favorite skins and the game decides what you use. I'd spend more money on skins if they added a shuffle favorites option
Halo Infinite won't die, event Halo Reach and 4, years after released, only had 8-10k players shown in the matchmaking menu, yet was still alive. There's a dedicated fanbase who love Halo's gameplay and Sandbox, Infinite's gameplay is one of the best of the series, and the Devs are constantly updating it as a live service.

A second chance????? You mean attempt 217 to at least deliver something bearable! Just tried, I repeat tried, to play team slayer, what a shit show! The desync and latency issues, shots that don't register, power weapons that falter, etc. etc. etc. And cherry on top the complete absence of anti cheat, which by now they cannot install anymore because it would cost them at least 20% of players that would get banned immediately. 😀

343 needs to be removed from halo entirely and honestly dismantled because they can’t get it right
Second chance? Just like Halo 4, MCC, and Halo 5? Too little too late champ, they had their chance, and they blew it.
too little too late! happy for you guys that enjoy the game! but with baldur's gate 3 and armored core 6 coming out, i will stick with games that actually respect their customer's!!
You don’t have to buy anything to play it though? And it has some of the fairest prices across all f2p fps games right now?
I can only hope for the best but this aint it.
not even gonna watch because i know the answer... YES! the gameplay is fucking SOLID but the maps (and the store) are... either shit or meh.
Current map team has been putting in some great work. Cliffhanger, Forrest Temple, Oasis these are some great maps honestly
@@Alpha_Runaway oh the forest map is... HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS LIKE BUNGI!
Appreciate changes for the better and all that, but no game “deserves” an audience or a second chance.
More like it's tenth chance lmao
The desync and physics issues are still rampant enough to severely effect the overall experience, and EVERY one of my teams is a bunch of roleplayers while the enemy team is a 4 stack. Every time. Without fail.
The game has got better, but its still a broken foundation that will haunt us for the rest of the time we play this game. Its up to Unreal Engine to save this tbh. I cannot see 343 physically being able to get this game into a state where you cant FEEL the spaghetti code and duct tape breaking apart at the seams.
It was in development plenty. The problem was poor management.

Back in the day when Halo had over 100k players daily compared to it's now barely over 5k
I was playing some training mode on CHL map remakes and it forces classic movement on the players, it’s actually so nice
We need a Throwback Classic playlist with Guardian. Lockout, etc with classic movement
I will never believe in Halo for as long as the management at 343 is in charge.
would be cool if they had an armor randomizer or something silly like that lol
deff most exited for firefight though, we really need some kind of pve content to grind when we get tired of pvp, exited to take cool screen shots with my friends from firefight games
I keep saying this, once we get pve and campaign AI for forge it will be the best halo to date.
What I think would be even better than a randomizer would be save slots for each core. Having 3 different armour sets you can save per armour core would be great, instead of having to take time to customize each time

Even if they only added mostly their own maps, the community would still be making kickass maps in Forge that would probably be better than theirs anyway, so why not engage with the community by highlighting their creations and leveraging it to add an otherwise impossible amount of content to the game?
yeah i have to disagree. all the man power and money dumped into this title as bare bones as we received it 343 deserves nothings but to be dissolved.
But then instead of having a polarising Halo, we get no Halo at all. That's an awful trade-off, if you ask me.

The main reason for the many improvements as of late is due to the guy who is currently leading the studio. The same guy who saved TMCC.
I think the idea of an even bigger big team battle would be cool, i mean look at how fun battlebit looks.
We even have maps that would support that on Forge, take a look at Forge City, that thing is MASSIVE

NO.
There are better games launching feature-complete day 1. No reason to support lazy devs and crap publishers.

frankly what they shouldve done is launch the campaign first and open the multiplayer when it was actually good to go and not for free
Id love to play it but jesus is the game confusing af to me, the U.I and customization makes no sense to me, i have no idea how to get armor, let alone equip any of it. As well as what game modes are worth it to play
Halo with the boys in 2023 is actually so fun. Halo Infinite has so much to offer now and that feels great to say.
Such as what? It looks about the same as when it launched...
@@Kannabi420way more maps, more and diverse game modes, more armor customization, new weapon and equipment, a progression system, the best forge we’ve seen, a customs browser. It looks nothing like it did when it first launched.
@@cameronjoiner7345 The new maps are mostly forges. The game should have been packed full of weapons at launch, it's not a positive that they are in the game now, its still sad it took so long and 90% of the day one players will never know about it... progression system? should have been there at launch. Customs browser? Games have launched with those since the 1990s...
I really do hope you keep up with this kind've TH-cam content. I'm just not that much into watching livestreams and I've really missed presence here on TH-cam. Obviously do whatever you have to for your career, but I really like your videos and wanna see more of them
Bot Bootcamp please make a return. Hopefully they can adjust the XP gained per match and re-release it in season five.
They will get a second chance when they add Campaign Split-Screen Co-op. Until that time, I'm continuing to boicot the game.
Squad battle with the old halo maps has been the best thing in halo since 343 got the ip
I'll come back once I don't have to play in really bad SBMM games on 200-300 ping as I live in New Zealand and can never find games in my region
A portion percentage of XP would be awesome to merge into Online Custom Games and Campaign.
REALLY excited for Firefight. Huge fan of fun Horde/Wave modes.
The argument against forge maps is just complete BS from people who whine that there coffee is too hot...
The amount of money and effort it takes to create a mode such as forge is incredible, I would probably say that's where 343i put most of their R&D into. What makes Halo Halo, is the community, and having community built maps creates a community driven game and THOSE are the games that last...
honestly if they added a bunch of old weapons, vehicles and equipment back into halo with a ui overall i would be very happy and i think if they did that id be an active halo player again
