The Fibonacci sequence goes like 112358 , our ancestors used to say 4 represented time ,which doesn't show in the sequence. Doesn't exist, it's just a measurement like kg, km, etc .
Supermarkets are to also blame. Always throwing seasons just after one is finished. Constantly distracting peope and rushing you tgrough the year. Tesco had eaater eggs only few days after new year. I seen santa chocolate in Sainsbury's in begin of sept. I avoid them as much as possible. They know what there doing not a coincidence.
I have some of Steve Taylor’s books but I am afraid that his teaching could lead to a belief that enlightenment is something that requires a “peak “ experience. That is misleading. He is an academic and this could be why he taught that way but it’s just not the case. Academia has not served us well in the last decades , sadly.
Not the topic of this book or talk, but I don't think that enlightenment does necessarily require a peak experience, although in practice that's normally the case. The whole point is that enlightenment is a plateau, rather than a peak. i don't see why it has anything to with me teaching part-time at a university. i just do that because I can't make a proper living as an author!
Excellent discussion gents! I think about this paradox all the time. It's more fascinating the older I get. ❤
As my Grandfather would ask me, after not seeing me for awhile; 'How goes the enemy?'
The enemy being time.
And he would be right...we are imprisoned with the meat suit which creates time..
I've been saying to myself for many years that time has no meaning in an infinite universe. Time becomes meaningless when dealing with eternity. 🤔
lf You are stuck in the meat suit for an eternity then it would be a problem

Not just a measurement it's inherently evil..and is used to imprison your consciousness.. life is a curse not a gift

Isn’t the present just another concept?
Precisely. The concept of the present is dependent on its relation to the concepts of the past and the future.
Anyone watching this is 1910 or 2133?
No

Fair comment but this talk is about the nature and perception of time.
